It is missing many things, but specially good service. Not sure if it's the reduced staff related to the pandemic but the service was really bad. Food was ok, nothing great. It is such a great place but lacking energy, fun, people.. wish it could be like the rooftop.
A beautiful view. Very good service. Clean. A little pricey for the value
Horrible place, and everyone who lives in Savannah knows it. They avoid it, and leave it to the tourists
Everything was just fine. Nothing bad nothing great.
Great ambiance and food
Brunch menu not available even though it said it was serviced for another hour. Wait staff rude
Was changers wrong with nothing nice done about . Waiting 30 more minutes so it could be fixed . No sure I will return
Second time and never disappoints, will be down in May and will definitely eat there again.
Vacation trip. It was a Monday evening so pretty quite. Roof top bar had a few more people and great views-great service in restaurant and rooftop bar
Sophia was our server and was very attentive. Our meals were delicious and moderately priced.
This was one of the worst dining experiences ever. They were out of almost every wine and half of the food options. They didn’t tell us until we ordered they were out of every pizza. They blamed it on the “Valentine’s Day weekend” - a manager never came to our table to apologize and hid in the kitchen. We ended up leaving after we finished our drinks and ate somewhere else. We will never be dining here again.
The food was excellent. It was a great place to have a get acquainted conversation, our waiter was very nice.
Food and atmosphere was very good service was indifferent
My husband and I went here for Valentine's day and it was an awesome overall experience. Great ambiance, customer service, and food. We will return soon.
We are glad you enjoyed your experience and look forward to you return visit
We had the surf n turf. It just was not to par what I am used to
Got the wrong mixed drink delivered to our table when it was obviously a completely different drink. Salads came out AFTER our entrees. Mandatory, overpriced, 3 course meal with 18 percent gratuity added so I have no other way to let this restaurant know that they need to work on their accuracy and timing than by writing a truthful, poor review. There was not even an acknowledgement or apology from the manager. Didn’t let it ruin our valentines night though :)
Great location. Food was OK. Service was fine.
Enjoyed The atmosphere not and Quick dining experience. The food overall was okay, really enjoyed the calamari
It was ok. But I font think I would go back. Desert was great. Being Monday night and not to busy. It was a chance to shine and it was OK.
All of the appetizers were great. So good we thought about ordering another round instead of dinner.
Thank you for the Review, in addition to the menu at Rocks on the River, we are launching a new concept on our roof in the next month featuring international small plates. We hope to see you again soon.
This pretty little lounge perched atop the Bohemian Hotel has some mighty fine cocktails! We both had the Blackberry-Cucumber Collins. It was refreshing, neither too tart nor sweet, and definitely has a decent whack of booze.
The drinks are only second to the views of the Riverfront and of Bay Street, which contain some of the prettiest sunsets you can ever hope to see. It was surprisingly busy during the evening, even considering the smaller scale of the hotel in general.
If you're the artistic type, you'll especially appreciate the ambience. The walls in the bar, emulating the theme of the rest of the Bohemian, are full of well-curated original artwork. I highly recommend stopping in whether you're a guest, local, or simply drifting around downtown.
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. We are glad you enjoyed your experience with us and hope to see you in the near future.
Our server Alycin was excellent—attentive and amiable! Every entree ordered was superb. I would go back again upon my next trip to Savannah.
Thank you for the 5-Star Review. We have shared your glowing review with Alycin and look forward to seeing you on your next trip to Savannah.
The Bohemian is a lovely Hotel. The restaurants are truly missing the mark however. We found service to be very very slow. Even just the process of being seated was time consuming. We tried Breakfast Lunch and Dinner and service was very slow and uninviting on all occasions. The servers were pleasant but the times you saw them were very few. Maybe understaffed, I dont know. We would have liked to have enjoyed them more but we ventured out to the many restaurants around the Hotel.
Awesome location - great brunch and stellar service. Thanks for a lovely afternoon!
Somewhat limited menu. And even with the limited menu, they still have some items on the menu they no longer serve. What they did serve was great! The service is remarkably improved. Top drawer, smiling people from the hostess to our server. They really worked hard to give us a memorable mini reunion lunch with out of town college friends. Thank you to everyone for a great time! Rocks on the River made Savannah sparkle!
We are local to the Savannah area. The drinks were probably the best thing we had. My friend had the ahi bruschetta. It was sooo bland. There was nothing on it but plain tomatoes, tuna, and avocado. She didn’t even finish it. I had the Lowcountry boil. I was served a bowl of soup with sausage, potatoes, and like 2 shrimp, and no corn. It was not a real Lowcountry boil. I walked to the bathroom at one point when a younger, African American male with an earpiece in looked dead at me and said, “ Excuse YOU!” as I was saying excuse me. I didn’t bump into him or do anything to provoke that kind of response. I won’t be returning.
Ordered the devil eggs and low country pizza - both delicious! The ambiance of the restaurant space is really artsy and made for a pleasant dining experience.
New year eve
Had fixed menu for New Years Eve with only one option.
Never seen that before. Always have a couple of options for each course. Poor planning.
Food was ok. Much better options around.
Out of many options and our server got every course incorrect. Wrong drink, wrong salad, wrong main...she was new and trying hard but as they say it starts from the top, she needs more training never should have had her own table.
Excelente food , service, and ambient
Great for brunch.
We ordered the pork dish. At one third of the meat was fatty and inedible. The service was slow and the prices were very high. This was not a good value restaurant and we would not return.
We had a 6:30 reservations on Christmas. We ordered from the four course holiday menu which was a set amount. There was also an al a carte menu available. The menu stated that our meal came with a holiday mimosa which we had to ask for because the server did not bring it or offer it. We inquired about the rare and red blends that were available and the server brought us the bottle to “read on our own.” When she finally returned, she opened our bottle at the table breaking the cork inside. After waiting a while, no “starter” as was stated on the menu arrived but our second course did. We ordered the French onion soup which had zero onions and was a tomato based broth with a small crusted bread. We sent these back and ordered the antipasto instead which was delicious. At this time we inquired about our first course which had still not come and were told that it comes with the entree. This of course made no sense as it was listed as the first course and was a cranberry and Brie puff pastry that did not pair well with the short ribs and stuffed chicken we ordered. While finally eating our salad, another server brought out our dinners. We asked them to be held as we at this time would have had 3 courses on our table. The chicken was very dry and over cooked and the shorts ribs was supposed to come with Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes came with roasted potatoes and green beans. If alterations were made to the menu, they should have been communicated. People around us were observed also waiting long periods and requesting items that were included but not received. The final course was dessert which we had a lava cake and apple crisp, both came out not just cold but frozen. The manager at this time came to the table with our heated desserts and stated he was told we had “temperature” issues. He did not apologize and walked away to get us silverware but never addressed our concerns. They also added 18% gratuity but did not have this written on the menu.
I've been here twice and service was nonexistent both times. Never got to try any of the food, so I cannot comment on that. The ambiance is OK, it has a lot of potential but it was grossly overpacked with people and families so it was very loud and the lighting was way too bright for the intended ambiance. Such a shame because the interior is gorgeous.
Went on Chrtimas day for the pre fixed menu. Food was nice not the best but still worth the money. Service was terrible, server forgot a course and we only ever saw our server when she was bring food. Never did she ask us about drinks or how the food was.
