The Food was fantastic. The service was terrible. We food has improved since we were here the last time (Fall 2004). I observed other servers, and they were good. Our server was polite and nice but didn't follow through and get us drinks and we only saw her 3 times. She took our order, brought out the drinks and gave us our check. Other staff brought out the food.

We had a wonderful time. I ordered the special of the night steak & lobster tail which was really delicious. Unfortunately, the ribs were a little dry but still tasteful. My husband loved his fish platter. We were thrilled that they offer an extensive selection of specialty drinks. The sangria was excellent! Our waitress was very kind, courteous and helpful. She made our evening extra special. You cannot beat the view and definitely worth a visit!

Quiet time for my wife and another couple. Sunday night so it was a bit quieter. Food and service was good.

Food was fantastic, had soft shell crab tacos, raw oysters, lobster roll and kids had burgers and mocktails! Great vibe and uplifting atmosphere, server Tabitha was great with recommendations and a super professional! Outside downstairs has the best view of the river.

We dine at Rocks 21 often. My meal this evening's left much to be desired, even a danger to my well being. I ordered a dozen littleneck clams. When the serving tray arrived, I noticed that the color of a three of the clams looked off. I smelled them and they smelled bad, so I did not eat them. I checked each of the remaining clams to make sure they were safe to eat. I informed our server that I believed 3 of the clams were inedible due to the color and smell, and suggested that he contact the kitchen staff to inform them to be careful when serving the next batch of clams. I am a little upset because I didn't get any acknowledgement of my reported issue nor did I receive any sort of apology for serving food that was not fit for consumption. I'm surprised that part of my order wasn't comped. I would expect that from the staff at this fine establishment. Everyone else's meals were fine, just as I'd expect form this restaurant. I'll return to Rocks 21 and keep recommending friends to dine there, but I'd warn them though not to order any raw shellfish.

They had a lobster appetizer with Madeira cream sauce and we ordered it thinking we would treat ourselves since it was $30. It wasn't worth $5. It had very little lobster, smatterings of cream cheese or sour cream not sure, and home fries covered in brown sauce that tasted nothing like Madeira, in fact it had no taste at all. The pork belly tacos were barely edible. Even the creme brulee the crust was not completely caramelized. I have a feeling no one in this restaurant tastes anything that they're making. If they do they have really bad taste. It was a pretty disappointing birthday experience for my wife and I.
