Rockin Baja Lobster Gaslamp
Great portobello fajitas, comes with roasted
Corn on the Cobb, rice, corn tortillas, black beans, grated cheese and guacamole!
Golden Sumbrero always the best. Service is always great too.
Aly was great. She was very polite and energetic. Had a great timr
Amazing atmosphere would definitely recommend food outstanding
Great food, great drinks and great service. Excellent value - large quantities for good prices.
We sat outdoors (as required) at a table that was up against the sidewalk with a tiny plexiglass barrier that was no coverage from the many passers by. We had Wet Ones and by habit we wiped the table off. With COVID protocols, it should be clean, but we were surprised when 2 wet one cloths were very dirty with black grime. Overall bad service and not clean. The guacamole was good, but I have t met guacamole that I don’t like.
It was great. Anniversary weekend dinner and Chris was a great server. Always checked in on us and made sure we were good. Food was amazing and the Blood orange margarita hit the spot. Great service all around
Lunch with a work friend
We are normally fairly regulars during this time of year, visiting the ballpark for Padres games. We were bummed when the dining restrictions went into place, but planned on making it back as soon as we were able.
We appreciated the questions they asked of us before we were allowed into the dining room, and we were impressed how they had reconfigured it to accommodate the new guidelines.
Dinner was as wonderful as always. Service was warm and on point.
First time there. Food was terrific. The music in the background was awesome. Our server was fun, attentive and helpful without being intrusive.
Highly recommend! I held a casual business dinner for 11 people and it was a great time - casual atmosphere - good food and drink. Everyone had great time - Enjoy! Mike
We love this place so much. Best street corn I have ever had.
We had reservations for 5:15. It took them forever to get our order. An hour later we asked how much longer and they told us there were still 12 checks in front of ours!!!! I told them our reservation was an hour earlier because we were headed to the show in another hour and we would have to cancel our order and asked for the check to pay for our drinks which we had only drank half of. They then came Back and told us that the food was suddenly ready and would be out in 5 minutes. I had told them upon ordering throat we would need the check with our food so that we could pay and get out in time. After our food came, I had to beg, barter and plead to get the check. It took forever! It was almost as if she was waiting for us to leave without paying, which we didn’t do. I couldn’t believe how long it took them to bring us a check!!!
It’s like Spring Break in Cancun with drunk college students, but you don’t have to leave the country.
Good food overall. I little loud. Solid Mexican meal!
I had the 3 seafood tacos and they were excellent. The salsa bar was fun and our waiter - Chris was OUTSTANDING!!
It was amazing overall food was really good!!
Perfect for those who prefer tepid food, served extremely slowly, in an unclean setting. We will never dine here again.
Friendly service, very attentive. Loved the ambiance of the restaurant. Food was good and fast, loved the salsa bar.
Personale dell'accoglienza freddo e svogliato, cameriere attento ma non troppo, cibo buono, ma le salse prevalgono sui gusti delle pietanze.
Nice place with free chips and salsa bar. Ordered Thanksgiving special bucket with Lobster, Crab legs, chicken and ribs. Everything was testy and meat was tender. Seafood was good with the seasoning. Our waitress was great.
Good easy place in the Gaslamp for a quick and tasty lunch. The chip bar is good!!
decent food, big portions ,fast-good service.
its more of franchise restaurant than authentic Mexican restaurant though.
Food was good, but service needed a lot of work. The server came back two or three times to reconfirm various parts of our order. We had to wait a long time for the food because I think at some point the server forgot to enter our order at all. He did something similar to the table next to us as well.
Waitress was the sweetest... food... bad. Tacos were cold, beans were cardboard, drinks were soooooo sugary. Wouldn’t go back unfortunately.
Great place for a friendly group dinner; they accommodated a large group with last-minute changes very well with great service. You get a lot of food for the fairly moderate price and it's pretty good. Nothing too out of the ordinary when it comes to contemporary TexMex, with the exception of more seafood. Only complaint was that it was super loud and difficult to have a conversation because of the groups at the next tables who were literally yelling and being very rude.
I made the reservation through this App around 10am for 12:15 pm. When we arrived the hostess was unable to locate our reservation and began to tell us they were very behind due to too many tables and not enough servers. Well... I feel that is a management issue not training the staff to stop taking walk in tables.
Being I only had an hour due to my training sessions starting back up at 1:15 pm we chose to eat at another place.
Came here with the family (7 of us) for my Dad's birthday. The food was good, and the wait staff was friendly. I was pleased with them bringing my daughter's meal out first very quickly. Our waitress on the other hand, although very nice was not very "on top of things" at all during our meal. Waited for about 30 mins after she brought us our water before I had to get up and ask another server if he could get our waitress so we could order our food/drinks. She then disappeared after bringing us our check, so I had to get up again, find and ask another server to close out our tab. Of course they were perplexed as to why I was doing her job. Its ok because after I told them where our table was, there was no surprise on their end because I heard them say "oh that's Alicia" and "of course its Alicia". Every workplace has their low-tier employee and we just happened to be in her area. I get it, Friday nights are busy but the restaurant was about 30% filled and I saw the other waiters more than I saw my own.
Service was fair at best. Seated for 10 mins before anyone approached and it was not very crowded, several empty tables. Lobster bites were good, chowder ok and the lobster and shrimp enchiladas were ok. Average all around.
Visiting from the already snowy Midwest, we were overjoyed to have incredibly savory tacos and tasty cocktails in a "swanky" al fresco setting! Great personal service. And OH, BTW, you gotta' love self-service chips and salsa--with about 8 intriguing salsa/pico choices!
Honeymoon. Food was amazing. Server was trying her best but a little slow. Also drinks were just okay could be better. Overall was a good experience tho.
It was a Sunday evening. We went around 6:30ish our reservation was for 6:45pm. We went to go sit inside, but it was way colder then outside weather. We decided to sit outside. We got 2 lobster bites and chips. It was very delicious. The fries could have been cooked a little more longer, but overall very good food. I love that you could get different salsa for your chips. Our waitress checked on us. She was a good waitress. Our experience was very good. We definitely enjoyed our night out. Good place to have dinner. Nothing fancy, but very nice and mellow place to go.
Das Essen war top.
Das Lokal selber gross und laut.
der Service war sehr freundlich.
Witzig ist die gratis Nacho Bar mit 5-6 Saucen
die Fajita war weltklasse
Food, drinks and service were excellent. I ate there twice during the week.
Amazing experience. Tequila lime shrimp appetizer, Seafood skillet, and ceviche are all amazing! The margaritas are strong! I've been following on Instagram for several weeks before visiting San Diego. Made the reservation thru open table. Now I'm impressed even more dining here before the Padres game! It's so close to the stadium. Highly recommend!
we had the supreme bucket which was $139 it says it's for 2-3, four of us split that and a chile rellano. Big bucket came with 2 whole maine lobsta's, 4 large king crab legs, 8 jumbo (really large) shrimp, a huge piece of chicken and a piece of beef that was pulled apart with a fork, 2 ears of corn and all the rice and beans/tortilla's you want. We sat outside on 5th Ave on a Saturday night, so LOTS of entertainment walking by
The place was closed due to maintenance. Nobody informed me about it with email or sms, I knew about it from Google maps, when was checking the address 15 min before arriving
Food is delicious as well as service sports all around going on mixed drinks on point customer service was fantastic always checking if we are good
Great food, good value, casual dining. They have a great chips and salsa bar as well. Get a bucket and you will be blessed...yummu!
Our family went here before a Padre game during the week. We sat out outside and it was very pleasant. Great food & service!
