From the Team that made 'The Warwick' a Southern star celebrates the South again! Rockhouse Southern Kitchen a “Live Music Joint,” where the catfish-and-oxtail menu meets a rock-and-soul interior. Blues, Jazz, and R&B set the scene all day and night long. Perfect, perfect, perfect! Everything was perfect except for the advertisement of live music on Sundays per their website. Unfortunately, that no longer is the case per the host when I arrived at my reservation time. The DJ held it down though!! The staff are all extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and actively engaged with their guests. The food is ABSOLUTELY HANDS-DOWN delicious! I loved the ambience and the set-up of the dining room areas. I'll definitely return!

So my friends and I decided to come here this past Sunday. Parking was great the lot was not filled however, when we walked in for our reservation. We stood at the front for about two minutes before being greeted by the manager. Our server Devoyn was amazing she made sure we were taken care of. As we were enjoying our evening the manager Taylor came over with an attitude to tell us that we needed to leave. We were taken back because we weren’t loud or anything and she then tries to say there’s another reservation that had this table. Mind you, we have been sitting here for about 1.5hrs. She asked if our party was all the there and we explained we have a friend parking now and she then states oh sorry to hear that. She was very rude and short with us. Our server tried to smooth things over on her behalf and even stated that she could have moved us to another table but we were not staying due to her and the attitude she have given us. We have came here multiple times and we never once have been told there was a limit on the table and it’s not even stated when making your reservation.

We had a large party. Our table was ready upon arrival, Amour provided excellent service. The brunch buffet was excellent. We also ordered lamb chops and oxtails - both cooked to perfection.

There was an event here on this particular day. So when I arrived for my reservation the host told me they had overbooked the tables. A simple phone call to let me know would have sufficed. However I waited about 20 more minutes to be seated and she never came back so I had to go somewhere else. Oh and after paying to park.

I arrived early for reservation hoping to get a better seat for the live band that was SUPPOSED to be playing. To our surprise, the was no band and we were told otherwise prior to reservation! I wasted my time getting there early, paying for parking and only hearing loud music from DJ. Most of which was for a younger crowd. Food was good, but I lost my entire mood this visit. I most likely won’t be back for a while. I feel that I was lied to just to get me to come out. They knew live music wouldn’t be playing today!!

I had visited the Rockhouse before, but this was my first time for brunch. It was impressive, and I would certainly return. The brunch options were amazing, and the price of $24.99 was even better.

This was my 3rd time at RockHouse Southern Kitchen: But the first time during the daytime. The first 2 times was on the Friday Night Live R&B Music. I brought my cousin visiting from Dallas the 1st time we had a Blast. The 2nd time was with someone I knew for years that came to visit from Atlanta and we not only had a Blast, but he still talks about that night. This 3rd time was the 1st time I went to a RockHouse Sunday Brunch. Celebrating my daughter's last weekend in her Birthday Month Celebration I wanted to bring her and my granddaughter to experience what I had the first 2 times. Unfortunately the experience wasn't what I had received previously. To make a long story short: The Parking was terrible, need more space for parking. After we were seated I had to chase down the waiter after several others said I'll get your waiter 30 minutes before getting anything. They brought the food out and didn't bring utensils took chasing someone down to get those. Barely seen our waiter. I had to even chase our waiter down for the check, which the whole process took about 30 minutes because she kept getting sidetracked. I previously was going to get something to go, but after our experience I immediately canceled that thought. I did call for the manager, which came over and I expressed the dissatisfaction of this visit compared to the previous 2 and it wasn't as crowded in the place as it was on my other visits. After talking to the Manager I asked her what can she do to accommodate since the 2 hours reservation for our table we spent 1 hour of it experiencing such bad service. The manager removed the gratuity from the check. Which I believe was fair. So I'll be going back again, but only on a Friday Night.

They just need more staff but overall I would go again. Upset because I wasn’t notified about the brunch buffet not happening. But other than that experience was cool.
