Permanently Closed - Rock Bottom Brewery Restaurant - Indianapolis College Park
The restaurant was closed as of 11/15/2017. Please let opentable know so other people don't waste their time going there.
The restaurant was closed ( out of business) when I arrived to meet my guests. It was very embarrassing since I recommended it.
I made reservations at Rock Bottom in downtown Indianapolis for Saturday, 10/7 at 6:45. Had Confirmation # thought all was good.
Upon arriving at 6:30, I was notified that they had "blocked off reservations from 10/5-10/8." I was then notified that the wait would be 1hr - 1:45hr.
That was very disappointing as we were leaving a mid-day concert and obviously all other places had a long wait.
The food was embarrassing. I found that the portions were excessive and it seem to have come from the early 2000 era when cheese and salt were the main things on menus. Goo goo dolls circa 2003 was playing and it felt like I was killing myself with terrible food.
The beer was very very good and it drove the conversation. The chicken was likely bought at Walmart down the road frozen and cooked with one eye open.
We will not be going back.
Our waitress was horrible as she rarely came around and we had to track her down to get things. We both had salads and they we're uninspiring to say the least for the price paid. Will never go back
We needed a post 500 race location for dinner. Excellent food and service for a very hectic and busy weekend!
Been to other locations and enjoyed rock bottom. The food at this location was not good. The floors were very dirty and we were seated at a dirty table outside and asked to move. The bathroom was disgusting. I was surprised to see the hostess wandering and not noticing the filth all around her.
Food was very subpar. I ordered the same food as I did in Chicago, tasted much differently. Bison burger was very salty, the buffalo wings tasted as if they accidentally dipped them in BBQ sauce then tried to correct it, and the shrimp my wife ordered had a very fishy taste. Disappointed but I think it's just the location.
I thought the location was perfect . The server was very accommodating and very attentive. We would definitely visit again!
Enjoyable evening. Great nachos for a leisurely appetizer followed by good sandwiches. Never felt rushed and we were well attended to by waiter. Will definitely return.
The food is very good. I was very relaxed here! I recommend Rock Bottom for a comfy dining experience!
Good food, good service, good atmosphere. Will return without second thought.
We got our food quickly and the service was amazing. The pizza was amazing and large enough for two.
We had a very nice meal. The food was delicious and we liked our server. The person who seated us was a little sulky, because we asked for a table or booth where one of our party who has difficulty hearing could be accommodated. We pointed out an empty booth we thought would work, but I think she was mad because she wound up having to bus it herself. That shouldn't have been our problem. Despite this we had a lovely evening.
Our party of eight was seated quickly and the food and service was excellent!
The restaurant wasn't busy but the bussing of the tables around us seemed to take forever so we looked at other people's mess most of our meal.
The food was so so
I remember the chicken fried chicken as a large tenderloin type but what I got were three basic breaded chicken breasts that really had no flavor to speak of. And I may have gotten two tablespoons of mashed potatoes...
The service we got was terrible
Our server took a long time to take our drink order. Then dropped them off saying he'd be right back. ( he did'nt even give us straws). That was an 8 minute wait as we saw him chatting with a table of young women.
He didn't serve us our food, other wait staff did. He walked by us without offering to refill our drinks. I finally caught him and asked him for more. The food came and a minute later he asked us how we liked our meals and we hadn't even had a chance to take a bite.
To cash out, he brought the bill and then didn't come back for another 10 minutes.
All in all-he definitely is in the wrong profession.
It was a hour drive to get there and we were definitely disappointed...
It had been a while since we had been to one of the Rock Bottom restaurants and we were looking forward to it.
For being a Saturday with a wait, the restaurant was barely half full. Multiple tables sat with dirty dishes throughout the duration of our meal (some waiters and waitresses even added dirty dishes to these tables.) Service was subpar, with our waitress only getting our original drink order and the check. Our salads took over half an hour to be delivered and my beer sat empty for the majority of our visit. Overall, not the experience I have received at other similar establishments. I will probably be trying other places before considering returning to this location.
Not only are the beers and cocktails top notch, but the food is also always satisfying. Whether it's an appetizer, sandwich, dessert, or full meal, I'm happy with my selections.
I booked a table for 7 guest for a triple birthday dinner as we had 3 people having a birthday. The food was amazing, the atmosphere of the restaurant was fun and charming. Our only real complaint was our server seemed to disappear for a good length of time as everyone at the table had no drinks nor had we gotten our starters. The owner fixed us right up though.
Ordered flight of beer. Good. Veggie tacos and Cajun tacos outstanding. Garden theives pizza also great, but we agree the tacos were better. One down side... they did not have any rice, which was the side. Fine my husband would rather have fries anyway :)
Kitchen was suffering from a shortage of help so good coming out was very slow. Out of many things on menu because they did not have time to prepare.
My family and visited Rock Bottom on 12-31-16. We were sat at a table near the door and the air was on which made the visit very uncomfortable, we were told several times that the heat was being turned on but it never was. My husband and I entrees came out very cold and not fresh food was given to us. We had to wait 25 minutes for our replacements to come out which defeated the purpose of a family dinner. Our server admitted that the food on my plate was not very appealing and agreed it should be sent back for replacement. I am not sure why you would bring it to my table if you even felt it was not appealing. Just because the plate was hot does not mean the food on it was, which was the case of my husband and my entrees.
My groups overall experience was good. 1 appetizer came out with the meal. However, the kitchen ran out of wings and 4 people had ordered them and only 1 person was able to receive what they originally ordered, while 3 had to make another choice.
They had to remake multiple meals. The kitchen over salted everything. Other then the appetizers the food was terrible.
The service was very slow. Took 10 minutes to get seated and the place had no customers, food service was also slow. 30 min to get food once order was taken. Burgers were dry and frys were cold. Ice tea was good. In and out time was almost 2 hours.
I have been to Rock Bottom in Chicago and it was amazing. So I decided to take my boyfriend here for his birthday. While the wait staff was nice, the service was awful. We sat for 15 minutes before anyone took our drink order, another 20 minutes before our appetizer was brought, they forgot our salads until after we finished our meals. Never came back to see if we wanted more drinks until we were finished with our meals, and then did not even have a pen to sign the bill. I signed my credit card receipt in crayon. We were there for over 3 hours for a two person meal. It was also extremely loud, which made it difficult to hear one another. While we had a great time enjoying each others company I was very disappointed in the fact that I spent over $100 on two meals and drinks and had such deplorable service. Probably will never go back to this location.
Went there before the ISO concert. The ale chicken was a winner!
friday night dinner for four, good service, friendly staff. we heard a loud crash while we were waiting and we joked that we hoped it wasn't our order. it was. they were very apologetic about the the mishap and the delay and brought us a free appetizer. the food was good and plentiful, two of us were full after splitting a sandwich, the other two people had more than they needed. we would all go back
Good food but front desk lacks in hospitality
We are from out of town and came in for a soccer tournament. Last year we visited the restaurant location down town. Thought we would try this location bc it was closer to our hotel. Service was poor. It wasn't that busy. We could see many open tables. Took a long time for our waitress to bring drinks and take our order. Then it took over 45 min for our food to come. We had to ask several times for more water. Then she never came back with our bill. After sitting there for 15 mins I had to ask for our waitress to bring us our bill. She never came back another waitress brought it to the table. This was to be a birthday dinner for our son. We were never asked if we would like dessert. Poor service Very disappointed.
A/C was out but no free dessert-oh well!
They were not very busy yet our entrées and appetizers were both borderline overcooked/burned.
Seven of us went for lunch on Mother's Day. Great time. Five adults and 2 children. Our server was attentive, though not overly so. The food was well prepared and accurate to order. The beers were very clean and tasty. I would definitely recommend the House IPA hopped with Mosaic Hops or the 3Pepper Kolsch.
Food was great. Staff was awesome. Great beer selections
Our eating experience was very nice. The mac and cheese was very tasty!
Our table was ready for our big "party". James did a great job keeping our drink filled as we waited over 40 minutes for our food. Their could have been a few more onion rings but the amount of food for all other plates was very generous. No one complained about any of the food which was very good since we had 12 different entrees.
Service was terrible. Period.
The service was terrible
