    My husband card ran unauthorized. We left $200.60 for the bill and tip. However, his card was still unauthorized.

    Even though I am dinging the restaurant for service because of the long wait, I do want to say that there was nothing at all wrong with our server. She was marvelous. The restaurant was just understaffed. I realize this is a common problem in the local restaurant business at this time. (Perhaps I shouldn’t take away a star for that?) It is a charming restaurant with good food, and if you’re prepared to linger over drinks, you should enjoy it quite a lot. We had a teenager in tow.

    My friend and I picked this restaurant from google. We had a very delicious meal. I order take out for my husband and what they tried to give me was awful but the waiter jumped on it and the manager had them remake his meal. It was the appropriate amount and my husband really liked his meal. I would recommend it. One more thing they don’t have full bar service at lunch time. You can get wine and beer. No cocktails.

    Poor service (seemed like an understaffed kitchen). We were the only ones in the restaurant and waited 50 minutes for mediocre food (our appetizers were forgotten ).

    First time visiting but we will definitely be back! The drinks were a perfect start to our date, the food was spectacular, and we ended the night with dessert and champagne. The staff was accommodating and attentive to our requests and very friendly throughout the entire time we were there. Loved the winter decorations and specialty drinks for the season. Highly recommend for a date night!

    Robie's was unprepared for such a large group; they only had one cook. Thank goodness I thought to make reservations ahead of time since I knew that this would be a large conference. Our server, Tony, was excellent. He was attentive, kind, and patient. However, the manager, was not. I felt rushed, questioned, and not welcome. The food was pretty good (hats off to the sole chef) and the decor was warm and inviting.

    They were clearly understaffed, which led to long wait times, and clearly confused seating situation. We were sat very close to two other tables, so we could hear their conversations easily and vice versa. Everyone was in town for a concert so that wasn't so bad sharing conversations, but would not have been great for most other nights out. It also allowed us to see that both tables on either side of us had issues with their orders, both with incorrect items and late items. My tables food was luke-warm but after watching what was happening with the other tables we were lucky. The staff was polite and hustling, but they just didn't have enough people to cover the crowd and it was clear the issues extended into the kitchen staff for the speed the food was coming out.

    Small portions. Probably the worst serving of calamari I have ever had, quality and quantity. The spinach salad was maybe the size of a dinner salad. Small. Service was good though. I would. Not go back.

    For the price, the food was pretty good. I had the salmon bowl and the salad. The lacked energy as the leaf ends were wilting. I also had the sourdough bread and the spread made the item enjoyable. I thought the vibe was cool being in an old historic hotel building, but with the high ceilings, it made for a loud dinner.

    This was my mom and I first time coming here. I was searching restaurants that are on open table that had open reservations for Mother's Day. Most of the restaurants were fully booked. I ran across this restaurant and viewed the menu and decided to take my mom there for Mother's Day. Heather was so nice!! And very insightful on the different things on the menu. The customer service was top notch. I definitely would visit again.

    The restaurant is beautiful. We arrived a little earlier than our reservation. The staff seemed a little disorganized (I think the host was new and learning). That wasn't a big deal at all. Overall, the service was slow, and at first, the wait staff seemed disinterested in us being there. It got better as time went on, but the first impression was not great. Check it out... very pretty, and the food was good.

    Lovely space with competent bar staff. Shame because the menu selections are more utilitarian than artful. The menu does an adequate job of satisfying the hunger of a diverse group or a family that doesn’t have time to explore other options. Love the space. Love the staff. The food was good and affordable. Don’t rule this place out but if you have time, look around.

    My boyfriend and I are here because we were staying at the Magnolia. We were a little hesitant because you never know how a hotel restaurant might be. I ordered the pasta and my boyfriend ordered the steak. He was a little hesitant and didn’t want to be disappointed for the price he was paying. But we were blown away! My pasta was awesome and he loves the steak and was so happy with it! Such a sweet little spot and it felt romantic!

    They advertise a delicious brunch menu on line and on Open Table but when you get there, you have no option except a buffet. The buffet is below average. They charged us $29 plus tax for a kids buffet. The food looked so bad the adults did not even eat. The waitress was rude. I do not recommend and I’m still not happy I was charged $29 for a few eggs and a pastry for a child. Do not go there. Eat at the Starbucks next door.

    Pros: Love the restaurant set up and the food was fantastic! Live music was great. The touch of having complimentary champagne was more than appreciated. Cons: Service was sloooooow. Took 20 minutes to get water. 40-45 for the first course. Time between courses was a long time too. Only other con was the automatic gratuity of $34.50. Wish we would have known about this caveat ahead of time.

    We had reservations for the 4 course valentines dinner . When we got there it was very nice to be greeted with complimentary champagne and the live music was very nice as well . Our waitress first told us I’m very sorry but we are so busy tonight . We didn’t get water for 30 mins . After 60 mins we got a salad (which was the second course ) . Our waitress came to our table and asked us if all we had so far was a salad and I asked her for the check . Every table around us was obviously frustrated with their wait as well . I’ve never left a restaurant after ordering in my life so it was pretty disappointing to have to leave and find another restaurant that could get us in at 9:00 pm on Valentine’s Day . The only nice part is they did not charge us for anything. I hope If they continue to have themed dinners they make sure they can actually handle the business.

    Overall the restaurant was not prepared for the amount of activity in the area and consequently menu selection was severely limited. The chairs sit too low for people taller than six foot, perhaps finding ways to firm bottoms of chairs to provide adequate height for table. Serving staff was apologetic but overwhelmed by business.

    Although the menu is not very expansive the selections we made were excellent. Highly recommend the bacon wrapped dates and the prosciutto wrapped shrimp. We were there on New Year’s Eve for dinner and although our waitress was very good she was also the acting bartender. They could have used additional staff for the holiday. The restaurant itself is very beautiful. Loved the lighting as well as the bar set-up. Highly recommend!

    Restaurant was closed when we arrived for our reservation. Hotel staff did not know that they accepted reservations. This needs to be taken off of open table app.

    A real gem in Downtown St Louis. The hotel was decorated beautifully for Christmas. The building itself is exquisite. The service was superb, and the food delicious. It seemed to get busier a bit later than I’m used to (9 PM).

    Had the charcuterie board and wine at the beginning. It was very good. Then the people I was with had the steak and the pork steak also tasted great. Place was quiet and waiter was great. I would go back.

    Made the reservation. Showed up to the restaurant and there was no seating available. We were never greeted by a server. There didn’t appear to be a system or process from the minute you walked in the door. You pretty much had to guess what you needed to do. We ordered at the bar, bartender was very helpful and apologetic. We had to get food to go after waiting 1 1/2 hours. However, the most unfortunate part is your employees were complaining to one another in from of the customers about the chaos. Very unprofessional. This overall is clearly a management issue. People need systems/processes to succeed.
