   What a little gem!! Located above the Borough Market. The food was amazing. Staff were lovely. Beautiful decor. Fabulous place for a special breakfast !

   Good food and service. Roast potatoes were forgotten it seemed as had to chase. Shame dessert menu seems to be deconstructed or take on classics which is disappointing as prefer some classic options please.

   If you're just on the south side of the river, and want to truly enjoy an English dining experience, ROAST is for you. Set upstairs in the Borough Market, with a view of the surrounding buildings, the Menu, the service and ambience of the dining room is a perfect combination for a truly enjoyable event. Delicious food from the freshest of ingredients and presented with flair. Due to it's proximity to Thameslink, friends from North Hertfordshire could join us in South London in only 49 minutes travel time. We all thoroughly enjoyed a long lunch with a great wine list and un-intrusive, yet attentive service. ***** 5 Stars Roast! Thank-you.

   Great food. They charge for extra gravy which would have been nice to have been told prior. Found a course hair in our food, but the waitress changed it quickly

   We had Sunday roast. The food was delicious but we were underwhelmed by the portion sizes given each meal was £35+. One member of our group is a Coeliac and the wait staff were not well informed on GF offerings and seemed impatient when we asked questions - because we couldn’t have the Yorkshire pudding or Beef Croquet with our dish we asked for extra roast potatoes and veggies as an alternative - and were charged for them, which seems very unreasonable. However the setting and atmosphere in the restaurant are great. I’d definitely go again, this time better informed on what I’ll get for my money!

   Having visited Roast before having a beautiful experience we haven’t eaten here is few years and sadly we’re disappointed. The roasts whilst the meat was good the vegetables hard truffle cauliflower cheese should be comforting and decadent and this was neither. The prawn starter so didn’t say it was spiced so again not what we expected. Mostly the atmosphere has changed it was always atmospheric but now there are too many table packed in lines it has a canteen look to it i couldn’t even move my chair.. Staff whilst pleasant were frantic squashing in seats at tables and I felt I was on a fast food restaurant at times. Sadly we won’t revisit

   Unfortunately a very disappointing Sunday lunch experience which didn’t compare to a wonderful experience we had years ago. Booked for an anniversary meal, service was some of the worst we’ve experienced and food quality poor (some of which we had to send back). No one asked throughout our entire meal if we were enjoying it and didn’t question when we asked to remove service. I told front of house of our experience after we paid (in the hope they would take the feedback on board for other customers) we were promised someone would be in touch, but have heard nothing, despite emailing to give feedback too. Overall, would not recommend, overpriced for poor quality food.
