Overall good food and nice venue. Bit disappointed they ran out of wellington - told us they could make one only for one of our party but that was it!! Service was pretty average - I'd expect a bit more when you consider the cost
The service, from the moment we entered was very off. Waiters were not great and it just lacked that welcoming feeling you need to have a really great dining experience. For this reason I would not recommend this restaurant. They could really do better.
Very good dining experience with good food and good staff
The food was excellent. Beef Wellington and the Sticky Toffee pudding. Service was top notch with ordering, serving, filling water glasses, etc.
The beef was amazing. We drank too much of the magnificent Malbec. Hope to return again soon
Roast was awesome. Christmas pudding was just like a childhood memory.
Good food but portion size small and inconsistent with temperature
Great food, waitress was so miserable and very rude, told to leave the table half way through having our desserts even though we had asked our waitress if they needed the table back before ordering. Made to feel extremely uncomfortable as if we had done something wrong.
First time visit. Food and service were both excellent. The restaurant had a real buzz about it and the views overlooking Borough Market added to the experience
Would recommend highly
Nice food but not worth £36 for a roast. Good location but not worth it if you are on a budget
Good service and food. It’s an oasis in the midst of the hustle and bustle of Borough Market.
Amazing food, and a very good selection of gluten free options too
Poor. Starters were ok, mains not so much. Very dry meat and when we asked for extra gravy we were told that the kitchen was closed!
Service was slow, desserts were luke warm and the dining room was chaotic.
Very disappointing, I will not be returning.
Beef Wellington sold out, skin on pork belly soft, scallops on starter pretty small and scotch egg under seasoned. Cocktail arrived at the table after reminder. Waiter completely inattentive. Had to repeatedly ask for the wine to be brought back to the table so glasses could be re-filled. Bill arrived pretty promptly though.
Mushroom risotto however was very nice
Probably wouldn't go again.
We booked up over 6 weeks ago we were sat in the bar area by the toilets , could smell both toilet doors when open and it was freezing cold. We complained did get move into the restaurant!!!!! In the end . There was always another couple who sat next to us also complaint and got moved . We were told they were over booked, the fact that there was group of 21 that only booked 1 week ago gets the best place in Roast says it all (money) not even the restaurant manger came over to say sorry.
I was recommended Roast by one of my friends, who said that it was very high standards but I didn’t see any high standards there at all, as I was going take my oversee clients there, I will take them as well which will provide better service and polite stuff.
Cocktails a bit weak alcohol wise but the food and red wine were excellent.
We had Christmas special-turkey and all the trimmings and beef wellington- both superb. The North Macedonian Red wine was surprisingly good as well.
Friendly, relaxed service overall a memorable meal.
I would strongly recommend Roast for a special treat.
A lovely Christmas dinner with friends
Very good and a beautiful venue. The cocktails were great and excellent food , but slightly heavy on the garlic in the mushroom risotto x
We thoroughly enjoyed our late lunch with special friends on Saturday. Roast was busy and buzzy - a great atmosphere. The beef wellington and the monkfish, in particular, was very good but the latter was a small portion for a main dish. The waiting staff were very pleasant and efficient. Overall, it was very enjoyable, if a little pricey.
A bit over priced for what it is. I think there needs to be more variety on the menu as well.
There was a juice cap in the supposedly fresh made juice and the porridge was runny and borderline inedible.
An amazing breakfast, fantastic all round.so so good
I've never experienced such rude, dismissive staff- the service was truly horrendous.
Unfortunately service was incredibly slow, they got our drinks and food order wrong. Beautiful spot, good food - just let down by service.
Late Friday lunch at Roast. Beautiful setting and tasteful Christmas decor. Service was perfect. Roast dinners perfection. Thank you
Great food, great service and a fantastic all around experience.
Great food as always. Service was dreadful. After locating our wine we self served 3-4 times as no staff around, I had to leave the table to order a dessert because the waitress never came back and I even had to go and find someone in order to pay the bill. On top of which, my tea never arrived the cauliflower cheese was Luke warm so had to send it back and everything was slow slow slow! Painfully slow. It took an hour or more before the mains arrived from Ordering . No apologies either. A shame. Maybe they were short staffed but at the prices charged I would expect to have my wine poured.
Food was very good but waited 45 mins before we got asked if we wanted a drink and 2 hour wait for food...
Order was wrong, turkey meal was tepid and tasteless, mash was watery and under seasoned with little to no evidence of the promised bacon and leak. Very loud dining room. Desserts were very good though.
Amazing service, food and atmosphere. Fantastic evening.
I'm a big fan of this restaurant. I've eaten here several times and I always have a great time. We'll be back for team Christmas lunch in a couple of weeks!
We had the Christmas turkey lunch. Was heavenly. Lots of veg just what I like.
Great location for a business lunch.
Shame you’ve stopped the ROAST POINTS card. I feel discriminated against as it’s now a CORPORATE card. I’ve been coming as an individual for nigh on 30 years!!
Place really good above the market nice views. Staff super friendly food excellent had the full breakfast difficult to eat it was so big. I recommend the breakfast martini fabulous
I cannot, CANNOT believe I paid £100 for a roast dinner that was below the quality of a PUB's roast. DO NOT EAT HERE. The food was so so dry, mysteriously appeared 15 minutes after we had ordered (so it clearly isn't made upon order), unseasoned, tasteless, just downright terrible. We couldn't wait to leave. Avoid this place at all costs, the fact that they charge so much money for below mediocre food is highway robbery. It blows my mind that this restaurant was on a blog for best Sunday roasts in London.
We where there for a family get together of 7 people. Very much enjoyed our meal and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Fantastic birthday experience for our Twins. Service great!
All good except for the very dry and crunchy Yorkshire puddings!
Lovely setting, although felt a little crowded. Went for a Sunday evening roast which was absolutely delicious. We had the beef, and the Pork, which were both beautifully cooked. A little too noisy for our liking but still a wonderful evening. Book a window table if you can - great people-watching spot!
