   Rivera is a beautiful space and one of my favourite restaurants. It's quite difficult to get into I consider it a treat to go. This is why I chose it for my bday dinner. The restaurant thoughtfully gave us the private room in the 'manager's office' area. The music was fun and the atmosphere was great. The food was also very good. The only issue was the service. When I have been previously, the service was outstanding, with the server giving guidance on best cocktail choice customized to our tastes etc...really specialized attention. This time, the servers were obviously tired, bored with us and even a bit snappy. I understand restaurants are understaffed, but I expected more from Rivera . When you charge $50 for a plate of pasta, the service needs to be spectacular.

   We ate on the patio in spite of the weather reports. We were very fortunate--although the inside of the restaurant is beautiful it is far too loud for our ears. The food and service was outstanding. The final bill was a bit of a shocker. We weren't keeping track and were having a great time so that was most important.

   We had steak frites, halibut, oysters, tuna crudo, iceberg wedges with nordic shrimps, and other starters, and everything was tasty, well presented and worth every penny!

    I would only recommend Riviera for a quick cocktail and an app. Probably best to sit at the bar. The building is gorgeous though and worth seeing too.

    Very lively restaurant- the one drawback was the noise level. The music , or perhaps style offered, was much too loud . It seemed incongruous with the architecture and overall feel. At one point we could not hear our own conversation which defeated the experience of our wanting to get together

    Amazing experience! The counter seating is the best, got to watch all these excellent chefs produce such gorgeous and delicious meals! Our server Jason was incredible and was on point with every single recommendation. Absolutely loved loved everything we had. The steak tartare and mushroom toast were to die for. The gnudi was melt in your mouth perfect. The duck was the best duck we have ever had. One of the chefs overheard us debating over the duck and rabbit so very kindly offered us a few pieces of the rabbit to try. It was so so good too. And the dessert which was a pavlova was just the perfect end to this exceptional meal. Loved everything about Riviera.

    We went for a celebratory dinner for my niece’s graduation and it was delightful evening. The waiter was knowledgeable of menu & cocktails and wine list and made excellent pairing recommendations. One diner was gluten-free and easily accommodated. The seafood tower was very fresh (I can attest as a Maritimer), and the mains (fish, duck and rabbit) were very well prepared and delicious. We will be back!

    Amazing food and ambience. The staff are super helpful and friendly. The cocktails are out of this world and Stephen is just incredible to watch making them. Would highly recommend to anyone. The mushrooms on toast are incredible.

    Beautiful place and bustling, kind of Gatsby-ish. I didn't enjoy our table location because of the plexi-barriers and next to the wall, drinks were amazing/best part, I recommend purple rain, server was super and apps were excellent, didn't love my main, for the price wished for more than fries?? steak was slightly over salted but well cooked. Felt maybe a hair rushed another 15-20 mins maybe? I would definitely return for drinks and apps. Glad we had the chance to try it.

    Amazing cocktail menu, service, and atmosphere. Noisy, but it's not terrible and part of the fun. I was actually really disappointed by my dish. It was bland and not well cooked but I've had other great experiences there with food so was either the dish I chose or the night....

    Very nice restaurant. The food was good and cocktail list was extensive but the beer list left much to be desired. The ambience is very nice. The biggest drawback is that it’s very expensive for what you get. We paid $50 each for the steak frites but it wasn’t exquisite. It’s a New York Strip steak that’s salted, served with rosemary truffle fries. It’s good but you can get an equally good meal for much less.

    Come for the service and ambience, but not the food, which is very sub-par and over priced. All mains are $50. At that price they set the expectations, but are unable to fulfill them.
