Our meal and ambience were great. Service, not so much. Our server was terrible. She really was so rude but we were determined to not let her bad attitude ruin our day out. (Even though she was pretty bad) I’ve been here before and the service was stellar. So I’m hoping she’s just a bad seed or bad day. 🤷🏻♀️
Great, great food! The bartender John is worth every ounce he pours, knows how to make great, unique drink! Food is really, really, really good, great atmosphere. Best restaurant on that side of the block!
Great layout, ambiance, food -- especially the cocktails, if you enjoy a good old fashioned made the right way
Great seafood platter and oysters. Prices are good for the quality. Good bar drinks and beers on tap.
We all got sick from some Calamari unfortunately
Riviera House has an inviting environment and modern decor. The food is good, not exceptional. It is a bit on the pricey side, but that's what you get in a beach city. The crab cakes were very good as is the smash burger. Their wine list needs a few more international options. Overall it is a pleasant place for a night out.
This was our first visit. The service was quick and friendly. We had the oyster soup tater tots. That is almost a meal by itself. The beet salad had great flavor and the sea bass was perfectly cooked. Well done.
First time visit to this restaurant will definitely return. Great atmosphere
Food is outstanding and decor perfect.
Noise level is high.. could do without music!
The service was super slow. They kept forgetting items and our meals didn’t even arrive at the same time.
Pre valentine date with my wife, great seating but a little cold despite the heaters but only when the wind gusted. EDF bring a jacket on cooler evenings.
Service was a little slow but I think it was because things were so busy.
Food was fantastic, curried clams and mussels were excellent and I am not typically a fan.
My only challenge was the noise level, very loud. Then again I seem to be less tolerant of noise as I get older :)
The location and the open-air feel of it is great. I wish they would do better with their cuisine. We have been there twice. Several of their dishes including lobster role, crab melt, Cobb salad are not good. They need a better chef.
The service was too behind, the drinks was really bad even though our waiter try too many times to bring what we wants. The food was ok but I can’t say was great. Overal I give this restaurant 3 star.
Amazing food and drinks with amazing ambience and service. Everyone was incredibly attentive and felt like I walked into a restaurant where I was being taken care of by friends. Absolutely would come back.
This place is terrific. Very good food at reasonable enough prices. Good looking cocktail menu. Great atmosphere, very cool space, and just fun all the way around. I will mention the food again - terrific.
We may have had a new waitstaff, as it involved lots of unnecessary delays and we weren't sure at first if anyone knew we were seated. That was the only downside, but likely not the typical experience. 1-2 other folks did step in here and there, so we left full and happy. Give it a try!
This is a quite pleasant neighborhood dining establishment in a corner location that has seen a couple of other restaurant attempts over the years. I hope this one makes it - I like how they've opened up the space, more light and fresh air, can watch people walking by, and take advantage of Southern California beach weather! The menu has sufficient options, they are decent portions, taste is good but nothing exceptional. A bit disappointed in the range of spirits available at the bar. Possibly because it was a Friday night, one of our group didn't receive until nearly the end of dinner the lemon slices for her glass of water that she had asked for at the outset and we mentioned to about 3 different servers who visited our table during the evening. Other than that lapse, the wait staff is very friendly and cordial despite the busy atmosphere.
Excellent neighborhood restaurant, with a bit of class and great decor
Great food! Very slow service due to being understaffed I believe
While the menu is short, the food is excellent. As is the service. The only negative point is the level of noise that is on the middle-high side. Not a problem if you are with friends and making noise yourselves but not very good for a romantic evening. Still, I definitely recommend this place based on the quality of the food and service.
Food was good, but overpriced .
Just incredible food and drink
Food and drinks are great! This place is a great addition to the Riviera Village restaurants. We are happy to have this place in Redondo.
Amazing food and ambience. Easily the best place to visit in the South Bay.
Noisy inside but the patio is nice and warm even on a chilly night. Service was a slow. The food was surprisingly delicious, had the oysters and tuna nachos to start which were very good. Salmon and the special scallops with the best parsnip purée I’ve ever had.
Improvement from Sophie's Place with brighter and cheerier decor. Menu is limited and doesn't seem to have a theme so there is something for everyone and conducive cocktails and appretizers. I like the way the inside flows seamlessly into the outside terrace but I don't appreciate eating with diners who are with dogs. Sorry but this animal-love culture where we all must tolerate animals while we eat is ridiculous.
We have eaten here three times and continue to enjoy the delicious food, the attender I’ve, and the relaxing vibe !
Love Riviera House and it's such a happening spot! Glad they are back, though do miss the shoestring fries when they were open before (under Sophie's) I think they are similar owners. Their current menu is off the chart, the Lobster Paparadelle is awesome, incredible, juicy hamburger, but even tho the fries are great, the shoestrings were talked about!
Love the food and service is always amazing - not to mention their cocktails. You can’t get a cocktail like that anywhere else in the area. Ambiance is relaxing, romantic and trendy.
Sadly disappointed with the food, service and outdoor eating area. Cocktails were average.
Nice addition to the neighborhood.
Too much batter on fish and chips.
Mostly outdoor seating.
The food was just ok nothing out of the ordinary I had fish and chips and to my taste the batter was not done well enough. Why did I not send it back because my french fries went back they were not well done I couldn’t send both of them back. I will say our server Josh was outstanding but will I go back there’s too many other restaurants around these days probably not for a while sorry
Great addition to the Riviera Village. Restaurant was very busy. Service was a bit slow. Food presentation was good, however, the fish was overcooked & vegetables undercooked. We would try again since the restaurant is new and just getting up and running. I hope that they fine tune the culinary delivery. This restaurant has a lot of potential.
I was there for the Riviera’s holiday stroll night. I dined with eight friends. Our reservation was on time, service was wonderful and the food was very tasty. I got the fish and chips it was delicious. The steak looked great, and the Ahi sandwich was a favorite at the table. I can’t wait to go back and try more. I love all the new decor...Super open and friendly. Thanks!
The only issue is since it was the night of the holiday festival the restaurant allowed a crowed of very loud people to stand right next to our table with drinks in hand while we were trying to eat dinner. Very rude.
Good cup of clam chowder and excellent octopus al Fuego Lobster pappardelle was excellent too! Fish and chips meh. Great service. When the weather improves the outdoor seating will be the go to place
The fish and chips was the greasiest food I’ve had in a long long time
So happy to have another good new restaurant! Loved it!
