   It is really a shame that I have to give them a 3 out of 5. Service was good. The atmosphere is beautiful. I ordered what I thought was going to be a wagu ribeye. What I got was a NY Strip that was med -mid well, I ordered rare. I placed it aside and ordered the scallops, which were great. My Wife ordered the crab cakes, again excellent. Dessert was good. I'm gonna chalk this up to a bad cut of meat. We will give it another shot, because everything else was great. We will be back for round 2.

   Wonderful evening with a great ambiance, good food, service and view of the York River. We had been here several months before and were less than inspired, but the changes were made with the staffing and the kitchen. Completely different experience this time. We will be back again. Looking forward to the new menu!!

   We had such an amazing brunch celebrating my son’s graduation from William and Mary. The staff was absolutely wonderful, attentive and kind (when my father spilled a glass of water all over his food). The food was delicious and price was right (especially when compared to similar brunches in our home state of NJ. Couldn’t have asked for a better choice.

   The food was just OK and the service was not very good. I ordered an appetizer that never came and the food was below average for the money. We had a party of 7 and the dining experience was very disappointing. I could not recommend this restaurant.

   We had a very enjoyable lunch with terrific weather outside under the Coleman bridge. We both had the fresh catch tacos and Jason did an excellent job as server. We do miss the fresh catch fish sandwich with salad which is no longer on the menu. Those of us allergic to shellfish cannot have the substituted crab sandwich.

    This review is for the Mother's Day Brunch Buffet on 5/11/2025. We were seated quickly in a very nice booth with a great view. We waited longer than expected to hear from our waitress. After some back and forth over drinks we ordered a pineapple mimosa and a bottle of wine then proceeded to the buffet. There was a good selection of fruit and pastries. Bagels were thrown into a pile of other breads, there was no way to warm them up and no way to tell how long they had been sitting there. They had a selection of breakfast meats, hash browns and a breakfast casserole. If you wanted an omelet you had to order it from the wait staff which we didn't do. Further down was mac and cheese, corn kernels, mashed potatoes and broccoli in steamer dishes. A nice carving station was set up with lamb, ham and beef selections. In the middle of the room was a display of oysters and boiled shrimp along with a nice dessert selection. We made our selections and returned to our seats. Still no drinks. Flagging down the waitress after we had eaten nearly half of our meal to ask about the drinks, she informed us she was not of legal age to serve it and it had to be delivered by the bar staff, A few minutes more and it was - finally. The food, despite being in warming pans, was cold, even when being tasted immediately after landing on our plates. The broccoli was disgusting with an odd taste and was very tough as was the chicken dish. The salmon was good cold and the prime rib was basically tasteless. There were no crackers for the raw oysters. We barely saw our waitress and the mandatory tip was excessive for the service received. Tables were packed so tight that ours was constantly being hit by wait staff. This $60 per person meal turned out to be almost $100 when all was said and done, I know the bottle of wine ran the bill up. I was not impressed and shouldn't have made reservations and just gone to Water's Edge next door where I've always had good experiences.
