There were 7 of us on a windy rainy day. Service was good. Everyone enjoyed their food: hamburgers, grouper sandwiches, soup and salad. My hamburger was more well done than the Medium Rare I ordered but tasted good. Cole Slaw was excellent. Was glad to see that they removed the 3% charge for Kitchen help. Will be back.

The only negative thing that impacted the service rating was it took about 15-20 before anyone came to address us after we were seated. We almost got up to leave. Once our server came , she was very nice and attentive.

Small portions—taste was good. Under staffed. Never got the appetizer or the beer. Manager was nice and apologized. Our bill was credited the food/drink. The server was embarrassed —she was kind.

Beautiful establishment overlooking the Halifax inter costal in Daytona Beach Definitely struggled with service and food I hope they can clean up a couple of staff issues We will try again

Food was served properly, fresh and hot. Great ambience with super friendly staff, GM and owner. Smash Burgers were fantastic Grouper Meal was done perfectly KFC Wings we’re crispy and fresh with just the right spice. Cocktails on-point: super generous pours and garnished properly. Live music was a great touch with a singer who truly was a compliment to this establishment. Johnny thank you for giving up your table so we could all sit down—truly a gentleman! Please visit his establishment and support this gorgeous restaurant.

We all (6) loved this place! EVERYTHING was excellent. We got a beautiful sunset on the deck and fireworks as a bonus! Had the Grouper, garlic shrimp dinner, clam chowder, salad and key lime pie. Going back for lunch tomorrow on our way out of town!

We were seated right in front of the entertainment and speakers instead of on the water so no view whatsoever and the music was so loud we couldn’t have a conversation. If we would’ve had any other table outside it would’ve been awesome. The food and service were very good. Will try again hopefully with a better table.

This was a great restaurant for a casual dinner. The outdoor eating area was right on the water with great views. The staff was very friend and attentive. Great experience, especially because many places in Daytona Beach are run down so it was nice to dine at one that wasn't!

We had a strange experience on Saturday evening at Riverside Johnny’s. They were moderately busy and it took us about 10 minutes to be seated. Four different employees asked us if we wanted to sit inside or outside, but none of them seated us. The host eventually seated us outside as we requested. We sat at our table for about 10 minutes and nobody came to greet us, even though tables around us were receiving service. We were pondering whether we should leave, but the host saw us and asked if a server had been by. When we said no, he just said, “Wow” and walked off. No apology, no offer to find a server. We waited another minute and then left. This place has a lot of good reviews, so hopefully our experience was abnormal.

Picked the restaurant for the water view and diverse menu. Very nicely laid out with plenty of outdoor seating. We ordered two appetizers with our entrees. The food came out at the same time as appetizers. Overcrowding the table. The server never refilled one of our drinks. Checked in at the end with asking if we were ready for the check. Was not super busy because it was an early dinner at 5pm. The food was so-so. 3 of the 5 of us barely ate half of our meals.

We discovered this restaurant via Open Table! Located on the river, the view was amazing! Live music on Friday night, our server was wonderful so attentive! The portions were generous and food was delicious! Great experience!

My husband and I had a late lunch at Riverside Johnny’s. We sat outdoors on the very large covered patio with ceiling fans o relooking the Halifax River. I ordered the shrimp tacos and he had the curry chicken salad sandwich with fries. Both meals were delicious and Megan provided outstanding service. Highly recommended for beautiful views, excellent food and service, and very good value.

Extremely small piece of fish in the sandwich. It was extremely salty. The clam chowder was watered down and had no taste. The outdoor area had really good live music where you can watch the sunset on the river. Great place for drinks and a view.

I really enjoyed my visit here and was surprised this place wasn't packed. I enjoyed the shrimp tacos made exactly to my liking. The virgin pina colada was also good! Harley was a great waitress, the bartender was also very helpful and kind. I had a beautiful view overlooking the river and it was the perfect spit to view the sunset. I would go back in a heartbeat and hope to see this business more busy next time because they really deserve the business

Waitress was excellent, and very nice. Food was amazing. All of us liked our appetizers and meals and shared bites! We live in the two high-rise condos across the river (Marina Grande on the Halifax). We posted an excellent experience at Riverside Johnny’s and the restaurant link on our internal Facebook group for all to see. Many replied they love the food as well, and others said they would check it out!! Thanks for a delicious and fun evening.

Great appetizers, you can't go wrong with what you order, but the Korean Fried Chicken is a must have. I've tried almost their entire menu, get the Daytona Double Double if you like smash burgers, the grouper sandwich is a fantastic value.

We had a reservation for a table of 7 at 5:30 last night. The table was considerately set along the railing facing the water. However, the sun was brutally hot and glaring. Awnings would have been a big plus. The food was good, service outstanding by Hunter. We were also seated right next to the band which was great - just WAY TOO LOUD. We would have stayed longer but we couldn’t hear each other talk. Next time we would request shade far from the music or maybe even inside. Lovely location.

The view is the attraction. The menu is very basic, (burgers and a few fish options). Preparation was okay, service was pretty good. Give them credit for their incremental approach (starting out with a smaller, basic menu), but they really should expand the menu sooner rather than later. We stayed with burgers, (all were a tad overdone), next time I might try the wings (based on some good reviews). We'll go back now and then for the view, (and hopefully for the expanded menu too).

Food was good and service was great. Perfect spot to watch sunset The only issue is they charge you a 3% fee, which you don’t know till you get your bill, for kitchen help. When we looked it up it was to help pay for their health insurance. Some of us don’t have insurance because of cost and we were charged this amount to supplement them. Was not a happy camper when bill came. Will not return for this reason
