The whole igloo outside was amazing would definitely go back 😁
The food taste good & the service is great. The view outside the restaurant is outstanding!
Good service and good view
I will be back! Beautiful view, wonderful waitress and the pasta was good. The menu was affected by Covid, so not their online menu. Fresh pasta puttanesca that was tasty but a bit pricey at $18.99.
Very pricy. Limited menu due to Covid. Food was okay, large servings but not what you expect for the price. Two shareable appies (sweet potato fries & shrimp gyoza), one salad with 5 shrimp added, one dessert, one alcoholic drink and one non-alcoholic cost over $110 incl. tip for lunch.
But you pay for the view and location.
The patio is absolutely the best view in the City! Food is good for the price and the service is always outstanding. They need to get a couple traps for the wasps and yellow jackets during the fall season.
The food was good, service excellent, weather perfect and the view outstanding.
This patio is my favorite one in Edmonton! The view is spectacular and the food is always very good! If you have never been to this restaurant then you haven't really experienced Edmonton at its finest!!
Went for after work drinks. View second to none this city has to offer. Great prompt and attentive service. Munchie menu a little lacking but what we did have was very good.
Our son and daughter in law from Vancouver treated us to lunch at your beautiful patio. We had a lovely table with an unobstructed view of the river valley. Because it was a cool day we asked for the heat to be turned on in the centre of our table. Wonderful!
I ordered the mushroom bruschetta and the watermelon/feta/arugula salad. Both were excellent, as was the special chardonnay at $25.00 per bottle.

By far the most beautiful view of the River and the best spot to take out of town visitors for a good view of Edmonton.
Looking forward to the cauliflower bites , a favorite so little did appointed. Thoroughly enjoyed the yam fries crunch on outside soft snd just delicious inside. Had mushroom bruschetta snd enjoyed as well.
Amazing!! Will return soon!
Friendly service, fabulous views, although unfortunately limited opening hours (latest dinner reservation is 5:15pm - would be nice if they stayed open for evening service).
Drinks are decent. Food is okay, it's fine, but nothing special. Definitely worth coming anyway to enjoy the view of the river.
Really enjoyed the setting, food, and the attention to Covid 19 precautions
Hi, We did not stay. We checked the online menu before going, because we have certain items we like to order. We also checked prices first, just in case. Unfortunately, we got there & the menu had changed & all of the drink prices were $4 more each than it stated online. We asked about the menu & were told that because of COVID the menu changed each day. I find that hard to believe considering we have gone to a few other restaurants in the last couple of months. Some may have run out of items, but did not change their menu each day. Also, why say a drink is $10 & then charge $14 for the same drink once you get there. The positive was that the waiter was very friendly & accommodating when we explained that we were not staying. Also, the view is amazing. We'd go back, but we'd call first to check to see what was on the menu.
Our server was extremely attentive, and as we were seated on the patio he recommended a table that was private and covered in the event of a storm. We experienced an incredible thunderstorm but were able to remain outside and enjoy our meals. We were not rushed, all meals were served to our expectations and our service was excellent. We will highly recommend this restaurant to our friends and families.
Nice view, food is whatever. Too expensive for what you get. Change the whole menu.
Received very polite respectful conscientious service.
Definitely THE Edmonton patio! Watching over the greenery of the river valley and the mighty Saskatchewan River. Stunning. Couple that with great service and delicious food - it's a winner!
The food was okay but view is outstanding. I like the restaurant.
We had great yam fries and edamame beans to start. The drinks were fine as well.
The steak sandwich was sent back for overcooking. The second one was great though.
We weren't overly impressed with the wait service. It was average.
The patio is very nice with a full view of the river.
From the moment we stepped out onto the patio we were very pleased by the amazing view of the Valley and River below. The food was was fantastic, flavorful and very yummy 😋
Really nice view of the river valley lots of seating. Steak was tough but beer and Sangria we're good.
Menu was a little restricted due to COVID. Service was awesome and the view is perfect.
It was mine & my husbands first time here, the view was great and the waiters were super friendly and kind. The food was good the only thing is it wasn’t totally filling the portions aren’t the best size.
Nice view!
Thanks you. Service was great as were the views. I’ll be back.
We went for Edmonton downtown dining week and we both had a great meals.
We had a table for 2 overlooking the river valley and it made the evening more enjoyable.
The service was exceptional and all the staff were great to deal with.
We booked one of the igloos on the patio, and it was a wonderful outside winter dining experience! Our server was exceptional, and the food was fantastic, but the view is unbeatable!!
I would have preferred a privacy barrier between the hotel lobby and the main dining area. The view is nice, and the servers were nice, but things seemed scattered and service was slow. The menu offered to us was about half of what was shown online (kind of like a bar menu, even though it was early Saturday evening) and I didn't like any of the options available. I wanted a hot meal, something hot like a pasta dish or a steak/chicken with potatoes & veggies, but had to settle for a Caesar salad with chicken. The chicken was really good though. We only went because it was in the hotel we were staying at, but I probably won't go back.
Excellent food and service. Beautiful view of the river valley!
Service was quite slow and underwhelming. For what my friends and I paid for lunch, it was not good value. I don’t mind paying for something that’s worthwhile, rather than something easily forgettable.
Chef Singh put together possibly the largest, and tastiest Lamb dish I've ever had. The best patio in the city and this years' addition of heated igloos was also a great treat. The service is very good and the ambience appears at first glance to be fairly formal, however it is a bit more casual than I was expecting. Staff were/are excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Another lovely time at the Riverside Bistro! Thank you very much!
For dinner only. Lunch menu is horrible. That is all
Wonderful view of river valley. Food better than average and service was good.
Come for the view and the service - not the food. Food is good, overpriced, but expected for the location. I really like that they choose local ingredients, and have a list of the local companies they work with on the menu. Come for the view at sunset - have a pint and relax with the excellent attentive service.
Would not recommend at this point. We arrive early for our reservation from a Dental Conference next door at Shaw Conference Center and seated at the table. Our orders for lunch were placed at 12:30pm There was a large table of a dozen or so people who received all the attention and service. I think one of the hotel managers was at this table. As we sat there other people had been seated and started receiving their food before us. Even after the large table had been served and had left., we were still waiting. Our food was served at 1:30 over an hour wait and one of the orders was wrong beef burger instead of salmon, so we had to wait again for this to be remedied. We were barely back in time for the afternoon session for 2:00 pm
The food was very good . View of the river valley is amazing.
