Menu had some great choices, lots of seafood options which is rare for the mid hudson valley. Food was plentiful, well presented and very good. Service felt like something you’d get a seasonal restaurant, wasn’t really sure which server was ours, the appetizers came out before the wine bottle, and the dinner came out shortly after the appetizers. Not very traditional, but at the same time, it was kinda nice to have everything out there n the table at the same time so you can pick at everything, so oddly it was fine. When ordering the server had no knowledge of the dishes on the menu and had to look at notes which would be totally fine, however, the notes were just a couple of words that really didn’t help at all so we just didn’t order it anything that we weren’t sure of, no prob, plenty of other choices. But…..after eating out at hundreds of restaurants in my life, for the first time ever, we had the server bring the bottle of wine and two glasses and walked away, plunk! LOL, the bottle was not opened, we weren’t presented with an opener or any other civil method of opening the bottle, we waited longer than most people would have but nobody came back to open it, we asked one of the other servers to see if somebody could come open it. We waited five more minutes and still nothing happened. I grabbed the bottle and walked over to the bar and just asked the bartender to open it, we had a good laugh, it’s fine, it doesn’t reflect on the food of the restaurant, I would go back, and I would recommend anybody reading this to go and enjoy the great food. I just have to give the service a two star, and probably should give it a one star. We’ll give it another shot, but with a shorter leash for sure.
