   Restaurant unresponsive No signs on the doors, front or back No message on the voice mail No posting on social media No explanation whatsoever No return call regarding "reservation" Nothing!!! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!! Professional???

   Good food, good wine and good service. We were seated right next to the kitchen so that is why ambiance got a lower star rating. We could not hear kitchen noise but just not great to look at. It was my second time there and would recommend it. The Cabonara pasta was fabulous. I shared this and it was still more than enough.

   A great spot in Sydney, British Columbia. Great view with great food, too! Reasonable prices as well.

   This was my 4th visit to RIVA and I found my dishes only fair at best. The Minestrone to start was quite frankly tasteless and the Flambe Prawns I ordered were not what was served. Another much smaller prawn dish served. I didn't mention anything at the time as we had invited another couple. Gerald Fisher

   First time here! Wow, food was delicious in taste and presentation. Portions were good size, moderate price, but for the cuisine was very much worth it. Restaurant is tastefully decorated, music at right level, recommend it very highly. Definitely going back!

   We had the breaded pork chop. Too salty. Too many cherry tomatoes on the side, would’ve been better if there was less. Maybe adding another side to balance ? More of a pub feel. 2 different radio stations playing , we could hear music in the kitchen then another type of music in restaurant.

   Excellent service. Excellent food and the ambience was very warm and cosy -just perfect for a wet and stormy Friday night. We will be back.

    As always, well worth the drive to Sidney from Victoria to enjoy a great meal at Riva! The service and food is outstanding.
