Roast Prime Rib
USDA Prime Filet Mignon
First time and last time
The roasted chicken was dry…The sides are small and not tasty at all…We paid $388 for nasty food….Never again
My husband enjoyed his Father's Day surprise dinner!
We always have an excellent meal with great service at this restaurant!
John was a great server. He was engaging, told jokes, and enhanced our evening!! Thank you! The martinis, oysters, dinners, sides and desserts were great. The Oregon Pinot Noir went with everything. A perfect Fathers Day Eve dinner. Just exceptional!!
Veal chop was below standards and tasteless. Small quantities of several side dishes despite high prices. Bread not very sophisticated
The ambiance was amazing, I really enjoyed the piano player as well. The food was amazing, our server was light-hearted and dealt with all our demands with ease!
Excellent food and service! I recommend: potato skins, shrimp cocktail, and lobster bisque for appetizers. Prime rib and filet mignon for steak. Cheesecake and raspberry sorbet for dessert.
Surprised when waiter said he added tip to our bill, especially without asking and / or telling us why, and how much he tipped himself.
Avoid. The style and music is the only thing this restaurant has going for it. Food wasn't awful, but definitely not a high end restaurant that you would have expected. Add in terrible, slow service that involved us having to ask them to remove dirty plates multiple times and I never need to go back here again.
Wonderful service and food … truly excellent. The room itself was a bit underwhelming… stark, easy way too over lighted…. Like a classroom not evening dining room, old cheap suspended ceiling tiles…. This place could use some monetary investment and a dimmer switch and it would be lovely.
The piano player was good technically and artistically he just needed to slow his tempo by 20% to make it more of an evening dining experience vs a race to the finish
Having critiqued the surroundings … you come for the food and service experience primarily and that was excellent I would certainly return.
Elegant dining ambiance, gourmet food, excellent wine and service and great jazz music at an appropriate background volume level
Tremendous meal and we’ll served. Everything that I expected and more. Will definitely return as soon as the opportunity presents itself!
Very good service from start to finish. Our server, Djordge was excellent and definitely an asset to this company/restaurant.
Horrible server. Built in tip.
Wonderful food and ambience and fantastic service
It was perfect. Everything.
An absolutely “over-the-top” experience. Our DE dinner guests were totally blown away with the venue, food quality and service. It was an evening to remember. It felt so good to return to our top favorite Philly restaurant after 18 long months… It was really great seeing Garth, as always. Joe, our server, did an amazing job with his food suggestions and attention to detail. Can’t wait to return on Sat, June 19th with our party of eight !
Very nice as always. Great food, excellent service.
Fernando was great, the hosts were as well.
We were celebrating my son and daughter-in-law’s anniversary and expected something quite different from what we received. Although we were there almost 3 hours, it wasn’t a very enjoyable experience. We were expecting the very high prices, but we anticipated we would get quality and service for the money. Not so! The food was mostly average. My husband and I had the prime rib. His (cooked rare) was unbelievably tough; we took the leftovers home, but it didn’t get any more tender and it was thrown out. Mine (medium rare) was at least able to be cut but had little taste. Both were small. My son had the steak, which he said was tasty but also tough. The same toughness pervaded the veal chop my daughter-in law had. The sides were minuscule. The service was so slow that at one point we waited over half an hour for a glass of wine that the waiter eventually admitted he had forgotten about. Another wait was just as long. He was covering all the tables in our section, yet was rarely there. The fact that he took the desserts off the bill (his idea) “because of the anniversary.” At that point it seemed more of a bribe to try to make up for the poor service. The table had one forlorn fake candle for decoration. The piano playing was the best part of the evening. And, to add insult to injury, having the tip added on automatically not only is an insult to our intelligence but discourages the waiter from making a decent effort to actually do his job. If he treated all his customers the same way, he must still have made thousands of dollars that night without putting forth the effort to earn those tips. And to top it all off, we had to pay more than we were told we would owe in the garage because the meal service took so long.
Overall it was great!
The Chilean sea bass was divine.
Great food Experience nice waiter
Didn’t like gratuity was Included 😡
They auto added 20 percent tips to the tab despite my party of just being 3. Never seen this before. A little weird imo.
Terrible from the beginning. Long time for a waiting in a line to be seated when we didn’t have to but the hostess didn’t acknowledge us. Long time sitting waiting for a waiter to even bring us menus. Seated next to a couple with small children with loud iPads who were out too late and crying. Husbands appetizer was good, my salad was good. We were given an extra appetizer because we waited so long to have a waiter. Forgot lemons we asked for 3x. My Lobster was good. Husbands steak was over cooked. Brought us 2 mashed potatoes when we ordered a mashed and a mushroom. Got us our mushrooms when we asked. Mushrooms turned out super bland. Waiter asked if we wanted dessert. We said no. Then asked if we wanted dessert on the house since we waited so long in the beginning. We still said no. Got our bill. We were charged for the appetizer “on the house” we were charged for the extra potatoes that the waiter messed up. The waiter said oh my bad. And took the bill back and gave us a $37 discount. While the appetizer and potatoes were still left on the check. That covered our drinks. But due to “covid” gratuity was included. Except the waiter drove up the price giving himself a better tip. The “discount” came off after the tip. The waiter gave himself a 44% tip somehow due to “covid”. And he was terrible. Will not be going back.
All around excellent place to dine! Very high standard for customer service ! Food is great!
The best in Philadelphia!
Over priced for what it is
My server was awful and inattentive. Never checked on us , just bought me over the check , when I didn’t ask for it . Never offered desert , coffee tea or anything. Food was good, but terrible service . Will not be returning .
Wonderful. From A-Z! The staff were amazing. The food and cocktail were great!
Very elegant, live piano , rack of lamb was perfect !!!! Valet was available. Seated right away .
I’ve been twice, the steak is probably the best in Philadelphia!
Excellent service, food, ambience, and social distancing was being very well maintained. Waiters were carefully masked at all times.
The food was delicious enjoyed the piano playing.
Mother’s Day dinner was amazing
Mothers Day we had a great night with family
Best prime rib in the city
Delicious food. Excellent service. I recommend potato skins, lobster bisque, filet mignon, and prime rib. I felt safe given that the staff kept their masks on properly.
food was overpriced for quality received - both steak and veal were bland
Caesar salad lacked any taste of dijon - garlic - or anchovie
escargot was recommended and lacked garlic taste and was bland as well
