Food was overpriced & underwhelming. It reminded us of microwave food with a high price tag. Wine was okay. Place was nice & the service was great

We drove out to visit my son in Harrisonburg and took him to dinner at the Ridge Room. It is known for the view and didn't disappoint. Harrisonburg doesn't have a tremendous number of quality restaurants with an upscale ambiance and menu. I don't often say this but the Ridge Room is really a hidden gem. The food was very good (although the menu is a little limited). They have a nice bar area, and an excellent cocktail and wine menu. But the restaurant seating area and the big surround windows are the appeal, with the view of the surrounding Harrisonburg region and the Shenandoah mountains. Even some outfoor seating. Never knew this place was here before but would definitely return.

Amazing foodie experience. A real surprise for a restaurant in a hotel. Impressively composed small plate offerings and very good wine from a local vineyard. Awesome all the way around.

Nice atmosphere but food was disappointing and overpriced. I would recommend for a drink and appetizer but not an evening out.

We had a wonderful sassy waitress that was pleasant and professional. The food was great as usual and because it was not overly crowded we had a chance to talk in normal voices. Love this place!

The Ridge Room small plates were divine - just the right size and tasty to boot. The Lemon-Drop martini's were il perfecto. Highly recommend the Ridge Room at the Hyatt Place, Harrisonburg, VA.

I liked the ambiance. The food, though was what was disappointing. I rarely write bad reviews and must say the potato starter was very good! But the chicken kebab was insanely disappointing. Not really sure what that dish was. The fish tacos I had a bite of were OKAY, but the tortillas tasted like the store bought ones and it gave me the ick. The chicken kebab was just so underwhelming I wish I picked any other dish. I know we are in the mountain but mountain food does not have to be like that. It was a miss for me, the salad I had from mama Mia’s was better quality and their reviews were questionable. You all need a qualified chef who isn’t throwing together Walmart branded food but has a taste for flavor. City folk like me venture out to the mountains and this place could really be IT, if the food wasn’t so dissapointing. Ugh

The Ridge Room never disappoints. However, depending one which side of the table you sit, the sun will beam directly in on you - there are no shades to block the bright setting sun. However, in my opinion, it's worth the bother for the food, atmosphere and the setting.
