                                                              We were so disappointed. The food was really ordinary. The crab spaghettini was overloaded with parsley which had an over powering taste, not enough oil/garlic. My mother’s MahiMahi was over salted which meant she had to peel back the skin, losing half the fish. The dessert was appalling. A ‘parfait’ that was tasteless and didn’t make sense. It tasted like whipped egg yolk, some really sour sorbet and a block of ice cream that was too hard to put the spoon through. This remained uneaten and our mains also were not finished.

                                                              Always the first place we book when we're returning to Noosa annually. Dependable for exquisite mains, entrees, cocktails, wine, dessert! No matter the changes to menu!! Thanks for another perfect dinner... we ONLY wish we had booked it a 1/2hr earlier for the sunset. :D

                                                              I have enjoyed Rickys food and location many times over the years this time will be the last totally overpriced , food was good not exceptional as the prices were ex ordinarily expensive $86 for coral Trout $74 for steak service very average , cutlery not suitable for fine dining expensive food when requested small fork for scallops i was rudely dealt with very disappointed

I'm happy to hear the food was good but I will follow up with our head chef if anything could be done better. Regarding the pricing of our dishes, those above do include the Sunday 10% surcharge. I'm sorry to hear about the service issued and I will most definitely follow up with the team as we do pride ourselves with a friendly yet professional service.                                                               Dinner for 10, restaurant was very accommodating putting our 2 bookings together as you couldn’t book more than 6 people online. Started out ok, waiter was very surely all night , he had either had a bad day or was in the wrong job. Out of the 10 of us only 3 people enjoyed their meal, rest very bland and very disappointing. 3 of us had the chilli crab spaghetti, couldn’t taste the chilli at all. 2 had lamb and said not good. I had the gnudu also very bland, 1 steak which he said was great. Probably won’t go back.

                                                              A Disappointing Decline at an Iconic Noosa Institution Ricky’s has long held a special place in our hearts—my sister even got married there. But sadly, it feels like the restaurant has lost sight of the special dining experience it once offered. Last night’s visit left us disillusioned. Despite the restaurant having one of the most beautiful sunset views in Noosa, early diners like ourselves—booked at 4:45pm—were placed in the back row. We watched as all the coveted window seats sat empty through the sunset and well into the eveningOne couple was even seated directly in front of a pole, while the maître d’ left front-row tables unoccupied until the sun had long since disappeared. With sunset around 5:15pm, anyone booked from 6:30pm onwards dines in darkness, missing the very view that once made Ricky’s magical. Yet early diners—who do arrive in time to enjoy the view—are seemingly given no consideration. It’s disheartening to see a place with such potential deliver such a poor hospitality experience. The dining room was half full, guests were confused, and the atmosphere was flat. It felt like a lack of vision—or worse, arrogance—from the front-of-house team. For a restaurant where dinner for four easily runs to $650, guests should feel valued and special. This restaurant once delivered magic, but now it’s lost in its own ego—charging top dollar while forgetting the simple joy of making diners feel welcome.                                                               Dear Kate, I am very disappointed to read about the way you felt as we do aim to remain a Noosa institution offering friendly, yet professional service within our beautiful location on the Noosa River. Table allocations for Rickys is and always will be a challenge as every guest would like a front row table or to be as close to the water as possible. We do try to accommodate as many request as possible, and we do try to allocate advanced bookings closer to the river. On this occasion, as you booked the day before, those tables were already allocated. I do believe one of the managers did offer a table at the front with a time limit, which was declined at the time. Once again, I am sorry that you felt this way and I will follow up with our team. I do hope you will give us another chance.
