We had a wonderful experience last night at this incredible steakhouse. Our server was Justin and he was so attentive and helpful. When do you eat at a restaurant where the server remembers all of your names? Rick even stopped by to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. Must try: filet with truffle chive butter and the au gratin potatoes. We hope to return when we are in town again.

The service was impeccable! There were few misses on the food including an inedible side dish of creamed spinach and overcooked/burnt fried chicken. The server took off the side dish and I didn’t mention the overcooked chicken because I don’t want to cause a fuss. Overall service was outstanding and the staff made two birthday girls feel super special with sparkles and a round of bubbly for the table. We will definitely be back.

RE’s West End Grill never disappoints. They consistently provide top service in a relaxed atmosphere. The noise level is just right for engaging conversations and enjoying some of the best food to be found anywhere.

We chose Rick Erwin’s for a business dinner because we know that excellence is the standard in everything! The staff treats patrons with politness and respect; they make everyone feel like “Somebody!” I think the food is the best Greenville has to offer. My husband and I ate at Rick’s on our 35th wedding anniversary. Before our dessert was served, he got down on one knee, presented me with a really nice ring and asked if I would spend the next 35 years with him! The staff thought he was proposing. Within five minutes, a cake, a bottle of wine and Congratulations on your engagement card were brought to our table! That was not prearranged…it’s simply typical of the service and experience that Rick Erwin provides!

What a wonderful experience! We were seated promptly for our reservation and greeted by our server shortly after. The wine list was extensive and had something good for all budgets and tastes. We selected a delicious Plumpjack Merlot for our meal and then got to ordering the food. For starters, my wife had the She Crab soup which was delicious and I had the Shrimp Cocktail. The Shrimp were huge ande delicious and the cocktail sauce with a generous scoop of horseradish was exceptional. For mains, my wife had a Small Filet and I had a daily special bone-in Filet Oscar. Both meats were excellent as were our sides of Onion Rings and Crispy Brussel Sprouts with bacon jam, although we didn’t really need them as both our steaks came with Asparagus and my wife got the 3-Course dinner which also included mashed potatoes. We had too much food! To finish it off, we split a Creme Brûlée which also was delicious. Certainly not an inexpensive meal, but not any different than other higher end steakhouses. The staff were great and will bring us back next time we’re in Greenville.

Rick Erwin’s west end grille delivered the service and ambience ! Our server was great ! I was dining there with my parents for my birthday, and our food was not up to par in our opinion. My dad got the veal Milanese. It was very tough to chew and the breading lacked a lot of flavor and was bland. The pasta was on the greasier side and did not perform. Me and my mother got the special our server suggested which was the Chilean sea bass over risotto. The rice was not cooked fully and there were some crunchy rice pieces in it. The server said something about splitting the entree and we get half of the actual one. It was a good thing because the half serving was small and left is hungry for more. For $48 it should have been cooked better. The cocktails were our favorite part and will definitely return for a drink! All in all, very nice environment and amazing servers but the food needs to be fixed for future customers.

This location used to be really good, however yesterday it was really bad. The food was cold, our steaks not cooked to our desired temperature, and the service was awful. They should be embarrassed to call themselves a fine dining restaurant after the performance they demonstrated last night. I understand it was Thanksgiving eve, but if the servers and chefs did not want to work to the quality I’ve come to expect from visiting then they should have shut the restaurant down yesterday especially being that it was my spouse’s birthday. To top it all off we were informed that they were out of the birthday sparkles, but they had them for another table. It was just an overall sorry and pathetic experience and a waste of money and even more importantly a waste of my time.

Beautiful restaurant with very attentive staff. Every dish we had was delicious—from the calamari, the chopped salad and the steaks and sides. Would definitely dine here again when we return to Greeneville.

I dont write many reviews but being a high end restaurantI feel I need to. My wife ordered their 7oz. filet and I ordered the bone in filet. My 'bone in' Filet was not cooked as requested. I had asked for medium and albeit at the start it was great but as I got closer the bone it was rare alomst jellyish. For a 72.00 steak it should be absolutely perfect. I did not say anything which is on me, but I should not have had to. Our waiter was excellent and very attentive. Really nice place just thought it would have been better for the price

We have been dining here for 15 years but had an especially great experience last night. It was my daughter's birthday and her first time dining there. The hostess was so sweet and made her feel special with a birthday card signed by the staff. Our sever, Justin, was excellent and remembered our names throughout the entire meal. Best steak and she-crab soup in Greenville. The evening was topped off by a birthday dessert for our daughter with a bright sparkler on top. Will be back as always.

Our server was amazing. Did a great job. Rick came by to say hello thanks for being there, which was terrific. All the food was good, but I have to get the onion rings best I never had.

Liz our servers was unbelievable! She was one of the most knowledgeable about their food . She was very passionate about her service and our experience it was awesome!! Great food, bourbon selection and wine was off the chart. Will be back!!

It was great that Mr Irwin stopped by the table. I was hoping to bring my main customer of 20+ persons but unfortunately there was no availability for that size of a group on Tuesday. I mentioned that to Mr Irwin and he was able find a way to get us the space in his fabulous restaurant. So thank you and see you tonight

This was my first visit in quite a while to the West End Grille (I live closer to the Pelham Rd location so I generally go there). The new decor was really nice. The team, as always, was very helpful and polite. Our server was very attentive and offered some feedback on our wine selection for the meal. She also offered to decant the wine when I mentioned it needed some time to open up, which was very nice of her to do. The filets we all had were cooked perfectly and delicious, and the crab cakes were even tastier than I remember. All in all, a great night. The only thing I'd change is where we sat. I had to change the reservation at the last minute so we ended up at a high-top bar table. It was loud in there and I'd prefer to sit in the dining room next time. Other than that, no complaints at all!

I really enjoyed my birthday dinner at Rick Erwin’s West End Grille. The porter house steak was cooked to absolute perfection!! Our waiter, Cornelius, was pleasant, knowledgeable, and attentive to my husband and I and, made great recommendations. Recommended the porter house steak and I’m so glad we went with his recommendation! Not to mention the complimentary birthday brûlée dessert and also the complimentary valet parking. Absolute perfect touches to a perfect night! We can’t wait to go back just to enjoy a date night!! Thank you all so much!!

Thomas was AMAZING!! He made our special night every thing we could have hoped for and more! The food was fantastic, service impeccable! Out table was under a bit of a spotlight, and two loud women doused in perfume came in (completely out of the control of the restaurant) but our table was close enough for it to be intrusive to an otherwise perfect evening. Hats of to the chef for amazing food and sweet potato cheesecake that blew our minds! Special thanks to Chris in the bar for some Amazing night cap cocktails! This is far and away the best meal and service we have had in a very long time and we are already talking about when we will be back with friends.

As always, a great experience at Rick Erwins. We went for our 18th anniversary and they helped make it special. A glass of champagne for a toast at the start, and a dessert and sparkler (!) at the end for a wonderful evening. As always, the food was fantastic, with the thick steak cooked exactly right, and the scallops the same - so good! A wonderful evening indeed.

We had an incredible dinner and wedding celebration. They gave us a free glass of champagne and a rose in celebration, on top of incredible food and staff. Highly recommend on every level!!!

We went for our anniversary and received top notch service. The surf and turf was amazing and the ahi tuna was cooked to perfection. We finished off with a crème brûlée that was to die for. We highly recommend Rick Erwin’s.
