Rick Erwin's West End Grille
East Coast Oysters
served on the half shell by the half-dozen or dozen
romaine hearts, classic dressing, buttered croutons, parmigiano-reggiano
Very nice. Love the ambiance and the food. Waiter was nice. Did not acknowledge that there was a birthday.
Terrible experience. Not of upscale caliber. I won't be back.
This was our first time at Rick Erwin's West End Grille. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding. Next time in Greenville, we will make a reservation. Thanks Rick.
Everything about the dining experience was great, EXCEPT for the person at the greeting desk requiring a face mask for me and my date to walk the 25 steps from the front of the restaurant to the table. That was absolutely ridiculous, and I will probably wait until this Covid charade is complete before re-visiting the restaurant.
Celebrating birthdays for the month of October. Friends from Orlando visiting for the weekend. Our first time there.
They ordered well done filet paired with the cold water lobster tail and the salmon....perfect!
My wife and I ordered the 4oz medium well and 7 oz medium. The medium well came out well done and the medium came out medium well. Both were dry and not as mouth-watering moist and hot as I expected. They did a do over but our guest had finished their entree’s. However the chargrilled oysters were delicious! Mr Erwin greeted us which was a nice touch.
Had a great evening for my Mother's 68th birthday.....steak was great...grilled oysters amazing and au gratin potatoes out of this world good
Our server Lauren was the BEST
Great food, great experience - glad we chose to celebrate our anniversary with RE's team.
Birthday celebration with friends
Sat too close to kitchen and heard corner all night. Food was good as always but mushrooms a little bland.
Elizabeth, our server, was fabulous...food was delicious....ambiance was great!
Elizabeth was amazing. So energetic and focused on our satisfaction. Even found a small chip in a wine glass and replaced it proactively. I didn’t even see it. Great food and service but Elizabeth was the highlight!
Great Food & Waitress!! We had the best time!! Very clean!!
Great experience on our first trip to Greenville. Tera provided us great service.
I have enjoyed the west end grille food and experience for a number of years. However the night I went last week they seemed a little off their game. We had to ask for silverware and plates! The peach on the buratta salad was very very cold. The peach at one point had been grilled because there were grill marks and would have been far more flavorful and pleasing had it been room temp. Aside from that the food was very good
Eric was great (as always) and the food was equally great. Best crab cakes between here and Annapolis!
We celebrated our three year anniversary last night, and going to Rick Erwin’s West End Grille was an amazing decision! They offered us complimentary champagne to celebrate, and though my SO doesn’t drink, they came out with flutes of lemonade to celebrate. It was very thoughtful. Our dinner was excellent, and he couldn’t stop raving about the Nola BBQ shrimp that he had with his steak. Our server, Ryan, recommended us the banana bread pudding and butter cake with peach vanilla ice cream, and it was so delicious! All of the people on staff were welcoming and nice. We are already planning to go back for both of our birthdays coming up as well. Definitely recommend!
It was a very great experience. The level of service and quality of food is why we come. Can’t wait to come back next month.
Solid dining experience. Enjoyed it very much and food was good.
I have nothing bad to say, other then I got food on my shirt!
Service, food and location we fabulous... also the variety of good food you could order was amazing!
Fantastic! Will definitely be going back next time we are in Greenville!
West End Grille is a sure bet for a wonderful meal and great service. They are taking great care for the health and safety of their customers. You can dine here with full confidence.
I made reservations for my daughter's 20th birthday. When we arrived we were seated immediately and on the table was a beautiful birthday card that was signed by each of the staff members. As always our entrees were amazingly delicious and our service was impeccable! From the appetizers to the desserts everything was outstanding!!
This was our first time using indoor seating since the pandemic started, and we felt perfectly safe. Rather than blocking off tables, Rick Erwin has actually removed them for the floor, so you have a very elegant and spacious dining experience. The staff were conscientious in wearing masks. Beyond that, the food was divine. I had the calamari & Chilean Sea Bass that melted in my mouth. I've never tasted it that good. And although I'm not a dessert eater, I did try my husbands banana fosters bread pudding, and I couldn't stop having just one more bite. And it's always a nice touch when Rick Erwin comes around and personally checks to see how your dinner was. It was a wonderful date night for my husband and me.
Brought my sister here to celebrate her 30th birthday. It was a great experience. Great service, great food, great drinks. We also appreciated Mr Erwin coming out to ask us about our experience. Well worth every penny!
We went to dinner for my birthday and had a reservation for 6:30 on a Thursday night. Everything was great...very safe COVID precautions were in place. The food was great and the service was good. We felt that our waiter was rushing us along. We had wanted to have a leisurely dinner and enjoy each course but did feel that we were being rushed a little too much. Other than that, we had a great experience!
Great food. Asparagus $14. Ridiculous price🤣🤣
They didn’t have drink menu’s printed out. Waiter asked us what we would like and we told him we didn’t have drink menus that the hostess said she would get for us. He came back 10 minutes last and asked again what we wanted to drink and we told him we still didn’t have drink menus. Finally the manager came by and gave them to us. This was at least a twenty minute ordeal. My $55 dry aged steak was just that, dry. The steak had no juice, no flavor, tough, and was cooked rare not medium rare. When the waiter asked how our meal was I told him it was disappointing that I would be feeding my dog 75% of my steak given the above reasons. The manager apologized and gave us a piece of key lime pie. I didn’t expect anything drastic to happen on our bill but $200 dinner that was terrible with bad service should constitute more than a piece of pie. I won’t go back and will definitely warn anyone else on my experience
Went for a birthday celebration. Had a wonderful time. Food was delicious and service excellent.
A very enjoyable experience. Food was delicious with great service. Sat by the window which I requested when making the reservation!
Excellent as always. Prices are reasonable for a top-level restaurant in downtown Greenville.
It being our first time at this restaurant we were shocked how big the portions were and the food tasted excellent. The wait staff was very cordial and attentive
Our MEAL was absolutely spectacular tonight. Celebrated the wife’s 50th. Our service was impeccable with Justin. Highly recommend him and this restaurant. BIG TIME YUM!!
Dine Around at Rick Erwin’s was great!
Fixed priced menu had some outstanding dishes... must try the chargrilled oysters and blackened redfish!
Chuck, our waiter was top notch!
The dine around menu was awesome!! My husband got the bone in ribeye and it was one of the best streaks we have every had. The cut was amazing and it was cooked perfectly. The charbroiled oysters were a Winner. And,Don’t miss the butter cake.
My wife and I chose Rick Erwin's West End because it was our 49th wedding anniversary. We had gone to the Salt Water Cafe last year and it was fantastic, but not open this year because of the China virus. Everyone was especially cautious about the virus protocol and our waiter, Ryan, made the evening a great experience. We were impressed with the creative menu. The blackened Red Fish was on par with any restaurant in Texas or New Orleans and the deserts were creative and delicious.
The food, service, and atmosphere was outstanding. Will definitely be back again.
Very good. The bartender Eric was fantastic. I enjoyed talking with him. Highly recommend the bar.
Server was a little slow but he hesitated to interrupted our conversation!
Don’t change anything
