Great for brunch

"rhubarb" created a bespoke concept for Terminal Three airside based on stylish and affordable dining. The modern British menu with global influences has wide appeal, with a huge choice for individuals travelling alone, as well as meals designed for family groups. In short, there is something for everyone, from a quick power sandwich before a business flight, to a full three-course dinner to start off a honeymoon!

A fabulous selection of drinks is available from old classics to new discoveries. We serve the most delectable all day food you can find airside with speed and efficiency.

The new "rhubarb" British restaurant & bar opened at Heathrow’s Terminal Three in July 2011. The look is fresh, contemporary and very stylish. Please note you can only book if you are travelling through the terminal.

We visited the terminal 3 branch at Heathrow. To say that the restaurant is catering for people catching flights they certainly aren't quick with service! The staff there were doing a good job but there just weren't enough of them to provide what I would consider good service. Two examples were that we had to wait until after our meal arrived before drinks came. Also I had to ask three times for ketchup for my kids before it finally came. The food itself was fine and the price was a expected for an airport restaurant .

We were sat in the doorway despite there being plenty of space further inside. I think it was because we had our 8 month old baby with us. She was very well behaved and the waitress was very attentive to her so I can only assume that it's a policy not to let babies in, something I was not made aware of despite clearly stating on my booking email that she would be with us. Unfortunately my burger was burnt but again the waitress was very nice, she apologised and got me a fresh one. The dessert options were limited, I think it's more of an afternoon tea place, those options looked lovely. Probably wouldn't rush back.

The restaurant we visited was situated in Gatwick airport and was well equipped and had great service and great food. Everyone was friendly and we enjoyed our meal! My wife is gluten free and the servers were understanding and handled it well!

rhubarb provided some fantastic cocktails to start. Service was impeccable and the food was exactly what was needed before a 7hr flight. Not too heavy, perfectly cooked and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.
