Honestly, the experience was a little subpar. The food was excellent, but it took a long time to arrive - we watched tables around us who arrived after us receive their food and leave before we got our food. Also, while the waitstaff was nice, there was an issue in that we were there for a birthday (which two staff members noted upon check in). We saw several other tables receive three cookies with a birthday candle, so someone in our party quietly asked the wait staff if we could also have a candle. They assured us they would arrange it. Then, when the desserts came, there was no candle. We were also charged for the three cookies that arrived. (At that point, someone else in our party asked about the candle, and a single cookie with a candle arrived after the bill did, but the whole experience was awkward and felt like an afterthought - not the greatest experience for a birthday.)

Excellent food but the noise level is nearly unbearable. I asked the hostess for seating in a quiet area given my mother-in-law has trouble hearing but the table was in a high noise area. The prices are very steep for the quantity of food.

Has great ambience and the food is not consistant. The broccollini was too tuff and the sweet potato fries not very fresh or hot. Very limited choices for vegeterians. Noise level is very high, even 2 people, seated on a small table, across from each other couldn't carry on a conversation. I think the acoustics could use some modifications to dampen some of the sound. The food was not a good value for the money. 1 veg appetizer and 2 veg sides, the bill was over $50! and I am used to eating out at fancy places in Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Portola Valley, Woodside, San Fran etc.

Our server seemed very eager for us to pay. She presented the check before we finished our entrees. When we ordered coffee, she took the check back to amend it, and presented it again -- before the coffee was served! It is a nice restaurant. It does not feel good to feel like you are being rushed out. The restaurant was not full so we were not taking a table that needed to be turned. We did not linger, either. From start to finish we were at the table 1 hour and 15 minutes. Otherwise, beautiful room, tasty (but expensive) food, and an energetic (aka noisy) environment! Enjoy!
