We sat at the bar on a Saturday night. The service was great - bartender and bar-back were both super personable and fun - food was amazing, and we had a great time!
The Korean Fried Chicken was certainly great, it was a little saltier than I remember on previous occasions. The shrimp and pork dumplings and cauliflower were outstanding, really enjoyable and the cauliflower was crisp on the outside and had a slightly smoky flavor to it (probably my favorite dish of the night). The kimchi was pretty standard and tasty. We loved the szechuan bolognese, it was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, not overwhelming on the spicy but it was definitely there. All in all a good experience and I love the ambiance of the place. I wish the serving sizes were a bit bigger so the plates could truly be shareable without everyone only getting a bite or two.
Incredible food and cocktails all around, and the atmosphere was fun. Small place which kept it relatively quiet even though it was a crowded night for our time there. Will definitely be returning.
I love the eclectic flavors of revelry! With a group of friends we offered food to share. Starting with the kimchi, marinated mushrooms, and
Cool place I have to give them some credit that New Year’s Eve has to be a challenge. But we arrived on time for a 9:15 reservation and our table wasn’t ready. We got a strange response when the four of us asked to get a drink at the bar while we waited (there were six open stools). We were sat relatively quickly and placed drink and app orders, then within about 15 minutes they informed us it was last call for food. I don’t think they should take reservations that close to closing the kitchen and should have been more accommodating to us getting drinks while waiting for a reservation. Hopefully some constructive feedback. Also - Fried chicken is amazing!
Delicious as always, get the chicken and seaweed noodles!!!
The service, drinks, and food at revelry are excellent. Different than anywhere else in portland. Great for a group, we go here every year for our girls holiday celebration.
Delicious and friendly! The kimchi was notably excellent.
Our group loved the crispy cauliflower and the fried chicken in the happy hour menu. The wontons and scallop fried rice were also great! The ‘Heaven Belongs To You’ cocktail was unique and good- not too sweet.
Nice small pub/restaurant, in a not so great area. The bartenders were engaging, and the ambiance was good. But the table we were offered was way too small and cramped against the cash register area (we are normal sized.) The way the host handled the table situation was demonstrative of a lack of adequate training. The music was loud, but if you are not looking to have a comfortable conversation you should be ok. The decor was well done, but the trek to the bathroom was a long adventure (on another floor, they share it with the rest of the building it seems.) The food was unimaginative. As as example, the chicken wings were boneless, with super thick oily batter, and glopped on sauce. The pea tip salad we ordered was by far the best part of the meal. This is not a place I would recommend for a date night. Having said that, if you are just stopping by for a couple of drinks and pub food you should be alright. Considering how many places Portland has to offer, I would not recommend it or repeat a visit.
food is great. A little expensive for the setting. Cocktails are great.
Celebrating a new job.
The food and service were fine, but the music was absurdly loud. I couldn’t wait to leave, and have no desire to return.
Favorite restaurant in Portland!! Amazing food and drinks, and great service.
Great food, the dj was awesome but it was too loud. I will definitely go again
Amazing, you can watch your dish being prepared in front of you, and everything is incredibly flavorful! Beer is cans/bottles only, but excellent choices available.
Food was good but very small portion sizes. The evening was an opportunity for my daughter and I to get caught up. The waiter couldn't wait to get us out the door. He was kind but impatient with us sitting and visiting. He continued to hover and remove everything from the table before we were ready to leave. The restaurant was nearly empty so it was not an issue of needing the table for other customers. Doubtful I will return.
Love the creative and tasty food at this very unique (for Portland) establishment - great cocktails, great food - great happy hour
Every dish was delicious! Our friends from out of town loved it.
The DJ and loud music was a bit of a drawback. The food was amazing though and why I keep coming back!
I had been a couple times before, but I really wanted my friends to experience Tallboy Tuesday. The peanut brittle chicken is so delicious. I ended up getting a drink and then the fried cauliflower bowl on happy hour and didn’t even break $30. Will definitely be back. So good!
The fried chicken and greens were fantastic and the tofu dish as well. The rice cakes were unfortunately quite soggy with no crunch in the dish. The pancake also lacked a bit of flavor and was soggy. The flavors were excellent but had some issue with the texture. For dessert, the coconut fudgesicle was fun and tasty. I would definitely go back for the fun and friend chicken and greens! The staff was excellent!
Food is so good and service was great! We split 6 different dishes and all were delicious. Love that they have a parking lot too.
We live out of town, in Central Oregon. But revelry is by far our favorite restaurant in the Portland area and each time we visit we make sure that we go. The food and service is always fantastic. We make sure that we always share it with anyone with us. They love it too!
We were disappointed in the food, compared to the handful of times we had been there in the past. The pork dumpling just average. The chicken did not have enough brittle on it. The seaweed crab noodles seemed overwhelmed by ginger. The best was the scallop fried rice. Music was too loud with pounding bass. On past visits the place was jammed with people, very lively. This Sat. night totally empty.....and disappointed no fish and chips. Not worth the 90 bucks. Service was just ok. drinks average. Disappointing.
First time will not be the last time. Great flavor and energetic environment. Cool vibes!
Wonderful first time meal at Revelry. Our only regret was that our stomachs are too small to taste everything! The fried chicken was a wonder, as were the greens and seaweed noodles. Can't wait to go back for more.
Revelry has become a favorite dinner spot. The Asian food is unique and always delicious. Sitting at the bar you can see the cooks in action. Great cocktails too.
Turn the music down, it was at a level where it was difficult to carry on a conversation.
DELISH! We loved Revelry. Probably one of my favorite meals I've had in PDX. We had the Scallop Fried Rice and the Seaweed Noodles. YUM!
Love the food- this was it second time back! Fried chicken is a must and even if you have the rice by itself it’s amazing!
This is a great "find". Wonderful space, food is incredible and the service friendly and responsive. We will definitely be back as you can't get food like this anywhere else in portland.
Excellent combining of Korean and pan asian menus. Fresh and balanced. Not too hot
Good and fun for a date
Revelry is reliably great food in a casual bar restaurant- folks may miss just how good the food is because Revelry is so low key about it. One of Portland’s reliably great meals — and unlike, say, Han Oak, you can get a table tonight.
Highly recommended, although maybe thin pickings for vegans, check menu and be sure there’s enough that fits your dietary preferences
The fried chicken and the short rib bulgogi were excellent.
Amazing! Food was great and music even better!
I love it! Very good!
Chef Diane is professional, hard working and on top of it all, very caring and personable. The food was so delicious and filling.
