The ambiance is beautiful in this hotel restaurant. The food was very good. The pizza appetizer was outstanding and the kale salad was perfectly dressed. The big standout was the service! The service was top notch, especially our waiter who was a total rock star. We haven’t had service like this in a long time. We will be back.

Servers really know their wine. Told her what I was looking for and the recommended one was fantastic. Food absolutely delicious. Got two servings of the bread we liked it so much. Shared the Caesar. Each got a pasta dish. Only complaint was I got a half portion and the person I was with got a whole portion of pasta and they looked about the same size. I understand it was because they ordered the agnolotti which is a stuffed pasta so the kitchen likely goes by a certain number of the agnolottis for the half/full servings of that dish but I just felt bad when my serving of scampi looked to be the same proportion.

The service was very good from the bartender/server. Our issue was with the food. The tomato sauce tasted like burnt tomato paste. We had spaghetti and meatballs as well as chicken parmigiana which both had that sauce. We had Agnolotti with a walnut ricotta which was good and the bread was good as well. The duck leg appetizer was like bad BBQ and not balanced. Everyone has their own taste so if you want to try this restaurant who knows maybe you’ll love it. In food there is no right and wrong. We tried it because we love Millwrights and this is the same owner.

Exceptional overall dining experience- highly recommend! The restaurant is easy to get to- we found street parking or there is a garage very close. The ambience is beautiful and classy. The staff was friendly, attentive and professional. Cocktails were amazing - 3 of us ordered off the menu and 1 had a special request - all were fantastic and uniquely presented. Bartender is a Rock Star. Now let’s get to the food; it was amazing… Each course was executed with the precision of a highly skilled/ talented kitchen. Presentation was lovely; appetizers, salads, & mains were perfectly executed- so delicious it was hard to stop eating. We had a wonderful evening and will be back again soon!

Wonderful meal that is a cut above most other restaurants at this price point. Salad with champagne dressing and bread were memorable as were the house made pastas. The baked peach with vanilla bean ice cream was the perfect way to end a very satisfying meal. Will definitely be back!

The food was absolutely delicious -- from cocktails through dessert, we were pleased with the quality and flavor. The space is a little weirdly set up, however. We sat in the bar, which although attractive is not particularly homey and conducive for eating high-end Italian fare. It seemed better for cocktails and burgers than for dining on Bronzino and Swordfish. Also the music was loud and seemed mismatched. But if you care about food, this place is a must try. Downtown Hartford has a dearth of restaurants of this quality so it is a welcome addition indeed.

We were seated at a very nice table in a quieter part of the restaurant on a somewhat slow Weeknight. Service was prompt and courteous. Food was good to very good, but overpriced by $2-4 for each appetizer and entree. The preparations were not complicated enough to warrant the prices.

First time eating at the restaurant, even though this is the third time we have stayed at the Goodwin Hotel. Service was good. I had the Seafood Stew and my partner had the Arugala Salad with Chicken. We split an of Polenta with Fennel Butter. We each had two glasses of wine with the dinner. Everything was scrumptious. We will be back next time we visit Hartford

Terreno is my favorite restaurant locally, and the food is always delicious. Last night, the chef brought me out a gift from the kitchen because he remembered my order, and he also sent extra ketchup. To me, that exemplifies what a wonderfully courteous restaurant this is, and I would highly recommend it to everyone. Between the ambiance, food, staff, and treatment, you can’t go wrong with Restaurant Terreno!

Ate here for the first time in quite a while (they were closed for much of the pandemic and even after that); had a nice pre-theater dinner. We were seated promptly and had some nice wine- pretty good and very reasonably priced wine list), shared two appetizers for our party of three; the empanadas were delicious, the warm olives were ok, nothing special. We all had different entrees, and everyone enjoyed theirs; I had the bolognese, which was very good. We finished up with coffee and some chocolate mousse cake. Overall solid, would not say spectacular, but definitely would return, very enjoyable dinner. Lovely atmosphere in a restored brownstone hotel.

Great menu and the staff was well educated on it. Servers clearly knew and loved the food, aided decision making. Cocktails were very good and pretty reasonably priced for the location, not overly sweet which i really appreciate. I had the chicken which is rare for me and man did it have personality! Not something you usually think about a chicken dish. Wifes swordfish was decent, not the star of the show. Would repeat next time im in Hartford.
