Everything…and I really mean everything… was superb. The entire afternoon lunch was an experience. The tastes and textures of the meal were sublime. Each dish was perfect in itself. The wines were intriguing and beautifully pared. The atmosphere was calm, relaxed and warm. The staff were delightful and knowledgeable. There was no pretence, just enjoyment. It is now on my favourite list!

Everything about our experience was outstanding. Great service from staff who were all of a young age and showed great professionalism with a friendly presentation. It isn’t a cheap bill at the end so if you are worried regards pricing it may not be the place for you, however it was worth every penny. The setting, the ambiance, the service…….and the food! Amazing flavours, well prepared, tastes divine! Hope for another visit to this lovely restaurant.

Tried the Business Lunch Hour at Restaurant St Barts (Michelin-starred), which is as the description should run for an hour but mine ran to 1 hour 23 minutes—so be aware if you’re on a tight schedule. The interior is modern and calming—light sand walls, wood floors, soft curtains for privacy, and warm wooden lamps above each table. Seating is a mix of wood chairs with beige cushions and bar-style tables near the open kitchen. It feels intimate but not cramped. Started with the Botivo Sbagliato, a refreshing summer drink with apple sharpness, a touch of honey, and herbal notes. Served in a wine glass—really enjoyable. First bite was of the amuse-bouche of duck parfait on a biscuit disc—tiny but excellent. The bread of black sourdough with toasted oats was very good, and the butter was surprisingly standout—rich, almost like a dessert. Unfortunately, there was a 33-minute wait between seating and the first proper course, which slowed things down significantly. Had the crab custard starter served in a small ramekin (which was chipped, slightly disappointing). It was subtly flavoured but could have used a bit more salt. The muffin on the side was okay but again, very small. The turbot mains, poached in truffle, arrived 53 minutes in. Interesting texture and well-balanced flavour. The razor clam was a bit chewy, but the mushroom purée was the best part of the dish. A slice of bread was served during the gap—fine, but nothing memorable. At 1 hour 15 minutes, dessert was of honey and lavender tart, I would call it a tartlet with honeycomb in the centre and ice cream on top. Tasted great but very small. No petit fours at the end, which was understandable given we’d gone past the hour. Lovely setting and skilled cooking in parts, but overall the portion sizes were extremely small, and the pacing made it feel more like a drawn-

The whole experience was sublime. The staff were friendly and attentive, the restaurant has a great atmosphere which really connects to its ethos, the food was exceptional and varied catering for both a standard and pescatarian diet and the wine pairing was brilliant. Would definitely go again.

Unfortunately, after an amazing start in terms of food and experience, we were disapointed with the following courses. Service was overall a bit mecanical. We decided to go for the wine pairing, and found akward for the staff to come and present, at the middle of the meal, two amazing wines offered only with a steep premium, leaving us disappointed with the « regular » wine they brought us after. Two meals in a row were very buttery (felt like butter soup), and two were way too salty, even though we love salty and tasty food. Sorry but we would not come back… Lobster was our favourite course. Desserts were good too.

This is a stunning setting beside the oldest church in London. Inside the restaurant the decor and furniture are beautiful and restful. The food is exquisite. And all this done with sustainability at the heart. All British ingredients and using small producers. The furniture, crockery and more all handmade by artisans. Loved it!

Occasionally find that in exceptional restaurants like St. Barts, the main courses don't live up to the appetisers. In this case though, the standard got higher and higher as the dinner progressed. Faultless and unforgettable
