   What a find! A relatively new restaurant in Hackney. We had a superb tasting menu with several outstanding dishes, such as treacle-cured salmon and a delicious short-rib of beef. Excellent, personal service. This restaurant deserves to be better known - Will return!

   Went with friends following up a recommendation. Had the large mix menu which included excellent and creative dishes: cheese churros, artichoke soup and the veggie option risotto all lovely. House white also. Service very attentive and we particularly welcomed having a bottle of digestif left in the table on the house!! Don't be put off by the slightly out of the way location.

   I don't normally review things but this was some of the best food I've eaten I've eaten in years, and I probably eat out 5+ times a week in London via business and otherwise. A tasting course where every single one was sensational. Michellin food at midrange prices. Cool decor, very nice staff a chef who came out and talked through the dishes. Even the house red was excellent. The restaurant has clearly just started and in six months it will be impossible to get a table. Go now.

   I thoroughly enjoyed my long, leisurely dinner at FIX in Hackney. The food is exquisite and reminiscent of much more expensive (and snooty) Michelin Star rated places in the City. It's perfect for people who love fish in particular and the treacle smoked salmon was to die for, as well as the mussels and pan-fried leeks. I highly recommend the tasting menu (about 8 courses) The atmosphere is trendy and relaxed. I'm not a fan of the garish neon pink sign in the window but I have to admit it is a "very Hackney" decor choice.

   An enjoyable evening spent here but teething problems due to first week opening were evident. The food was of good quality but the FIX menu is on the pricey side. Cool interior and extremely friendly staff. Lot more work needed on the cocktails. Worth a try if in the Hackney area.
