As always, Adarra curated and served an amazing meal and experience. Our bartender/server accurately described every plate to a tee. The cocktails were amazing and the octopus was perfectly cooked. I highly recommend the savory cheesecake. We will be back!

We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We are very happy that we chose this restaurant. The sommelier was exceptional. She had a nice way of explaining the wines and a great personality. The waitress was also top notch.

Excellent food and experience. The staff was amazing and helpful with the menu. We had 3 of the "specials" and we were not disappointed. Also had the spicy shrimp that is on the menu and it was so good!

Magic! Everything was excellent as soon as we walked through the door. We were immediately greeted, well attended to, and seated at the bar while awaiting our table. The cocktails were complex and just delicious. Every course we ordered was unique, bold of flavor, and portions were generous compared to other tapas spots. The ambiance is dark, sultry, and cozy - we especially loved all of the artwork. We'll be back!

A fabulous dining experience. Great service. Fabulous food. Wonderful wines and mixed drinks. The owners are ever present making this a comfortable oasis of culinary excellence. By far, one of the top three restaurants in RVA.

The food was exemplary. The ingredients were fresh, especially the locally grown tomatoes. The different olive oils used in various dishes were vibrant and so flavorful. The owner/manager provided excellent wine recommendations, and the food arrived promptly. It's located on a quiet corner. There was a nice vibe. Will definitely go again next time we're in Richmond.

I Never have left a review before, but we had such a fantastic time at Adarra that I felt compelled to. We sat at the bar with Emily, and put our whole meal in her hands. We got a phenomenal selection and were impressed by everything. The wine selection was original and fun and the cocktails were fantastic. The standout however were undoubtedly the conservas. Far more than just tinned seafood, the team there makes them into something incredibly special. It was quiet and intimate and I would highly rec to anyone who’s in the area.

Our anticipation for a delightful evening at Addara was overshadowed by an undeniable undercurrent of racial discrimination. From prolonged wait times (we had reservation for 6:45 and we were not seated until 7:15, plus a Caucasian couple came in after us and was seated immediately and then we over heard that their reservation was not until 7:30 pm) to the discernibly biased glances (the hostess was very rude and did not give any explanation why we were seated so late), the differential treatment was palpable (after being seated in the bar not a table, the bartender did not set a table, did not give us a menu, did not offer us any drink, and did not acknowledge us, we left). In an era where we champion inclusivity, such experiences are not just disheartening but deeply alarming. With 20 years as a Licensed Professional Counselor, I've been trained to observe, understand, and empathize. Yet, that evening, it was I who was the subject of unwarranted scrutiny and prejudice. My expertise teaches me to seek understanding, but what occurred was unambiguously biased. I urge Adarra to reflect and rectify. Discrimination tarnishes not just those subjected to it, but our collective humanity. To future patrons, choose establishments that truly value every individual. In our journey towards unity, there's no space for such divisive behavior.

Half the menu is tinned seafood... high quality tinned product but not as flavorful as fresh. In fact, the calamari had no taste at all. Kitchen tweaks these a lot with sauces and accompaniments but it's nowhere near the same as fresh. Noise is so deafening we could hardly hear our server. Service very attentive and gracious, Dinner side of menu limited but frankly, just ok

Adarra was wonderful - the staff is helpful in picking the correct food suited to you and the amount of food - wines are delicious and the atmosphere is cozy. Old school bar brought back memories. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Our visit to Adarra was excellent. After enjoying a couple of cocktails, the waiter took us through the specials and explained some of the items on the menu. He also advised us that several of the dishes we ordered were large enough for two to indicate that we had ordered plenty of food and to perhaps leave room for desert if we might be interested. We thoroughly enjoyed all the food and the pace at which they brought out the various dishes we ordered. In addition to several items on the menu, we ordered a couple of the daily specials, one of which as a Spanish Lamb stew and the other a Skatewing, and it was all delicious. Service was friendly and great and they made some good wine pairing suggestions also. Based on our visit we will certainly be returning there.

The atmosphere and service was very nice with our main waiter, but also a hostess/server. The bartenders were also great and the drinks well made. We particularly loved the mushroom, gnocchi, and ricotta dish which was out of this world. Very special place.

We visited Adarra for our wedding anniversary. The cocktails were creative, and we enjoyed them. The conservas were tasty. Our main dish, one of their specials, was touted as a lamb dish presented similar to paella. The dish had a savory broth, however, the lamb was hard to find. I would be much more willing to call it a mushroom dish rather than a lamb dish. We were disappointed, especially at that price point.
