Great food, and huge portions, cheerful and attentive service, and a short but well-chosen wine list. The only quibble was the volume – the place can get very loud, which makes the atmosphere more like a noisy pub than a place for a quiet dinner and a chat. Otherwise, very good.

Delicious and healthy brunch! Staff were lovely though forgot a drink and then charged us twice for it, although they were very polite and quick to sort it out. Would recommend!

We went here on a busy Friday night for 'date night' and was greeted warmly and shown to our table immediately...we had the Black Angus rump for 2 which was ample and reasonably priced also a really good bottle of wine again reasonably priced... would definitely recommend and have done to friends over the weekend looking forward to going back in the future

Friday night is a bit of a punt anywhere in east London as there can be an overwhelming number of drinkers in most restaurants, while this was probably true of Resident, the service was attentive and the food was superb. Couldn't fault anything about it, would happily go back.

Very friendly staff, warm environment, good selection of cocktails but very short vegetarian options. We had a great evening.

Brilliant meal at Resident. The staff were friendly and attentive. The rillettes and pulled turkey were remarkable. My only error was to order two breaded items (turkey and the mac and cheese croquettes) which was a bit much and the cauliflower was rather dry. Good cocktails and dessert menu. All in all, very impressed and will be going back very soon!
