An upscale contemporary French concept from award-winning restaurateur Mike Isabella, Requin offers a modern interpretation of classic French cuisine. Chef Isabella has designed a menu that creatively reworks traditional French dishes with fresh techniques, flavor profiles and presentations. A robust wine and champagne selection matches the upscale menu. Located in District Square as the only free-standing restaurant, Requin offers sweeping views of the waterfront, with patio seating available during the warmer months.
We do require a credit card to hold a reservation for parties of 5 guests or larger. There will be a $25 charge for large party reservations that cancel with less than 24 hour notice.

Honestly, I would have loved to give this place a nice review.... but it wasn't even open. The place has closed down and I read that the chef filed for bankruptcy. It would have been really nice of someone to let us know before our reservations especially since I was taking my wife there on a date. We have two kids under 4. Do you know how hard it is to find a babysitter willing to watch two young kids that doesn't suck? I don't know if this is the fault of the restaurant or Open Table. But obviously, Open Table has no idea this place has closed down because I just checked and they are still taking reservations to a closed restaurant.

I was very disappointed with opentable for reserving a New Year’s Eve dinner at a restaurant that had gone out of business two weeks ago. I will never use or recommend open table

They went out of business and didn’t even have the courtesy to notify people who had reservations for New Year’s Eve. We had to scramble at the 11th hour to find another place to have dinner at. Totally unacceptable, and embarrassing to our whole party.

Mike Isabella should never show his cheating face in DC again. He closed Requin and gave no notice - we showed up for our New Year’s Eve reservation to locked doors. Later I learned he may have stiffed his employees. It is well known he failed to pay rent at Mosaic for years. I hope his creditors take every cent.

Went there for dinner on New Years Eve with reservations and the restaurant was closed, doors locked, nobody visible inside, and nobody answered when we called.

Nobody bothered to inform us the restaurant was permanently closed! We were stuck wandering around in the rain looking for a place to eat for new years eve. The evening which consisted of dinner @ Requin, show @ Anthem & overnight @ Wharf was my Christmas present. Very disappointing.
