When you pass by the Basilica towards the Chain Bridge you can find us in the Zrínyi street, in a beautifully renovated 19th century building.
Our daytime operating Bistro & Garden, called Republik attracts guest for a nice plate of our French touched Hungarian cuisine or just for a cool glass of rosé spritzer with the energy of youth, no matter if it’s before noon or evening.
The bistro and it’s terrace waiting for you daily with live music and daily happy hours (3PM-8PM) all year long.

We chose this restaurant for our new year eve dinner. Traveling from Spain was the mandatory step because we assume it would be impossible to find a restaurant for that night. After confirming TWICE our reservation by mail from Open table, nobody from the restaurant warned us that night IT WAS CLOSE. AFTER THAT IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE to find a table at 22:00 that night. ZERO for open table and Republik and Bistro (they had my phone number and email 2 weeks before).

Wir konnten dort leider nicht zu Abend essen. Dieses Restaurant existiert nicht mehr. An dieser Adresse ist jetzt ein Nachtclub untergebracht, der auch einen anderen Namen hat.

The restaurant has obviously changed owners, names and menu... open table membership has not been updated, probably because the changes are not as impressive as what is previously represented online.

We found ourselves standing in front of a closed establishment with a reservation for what was supposed to have been our Christmas Eve dinner. Absolutely disappointed!!!! 😠🤬

Well, I wish I could rate this restaurant but even though I was able to make the reservation through Open Table, the restaurant was CLOSED when we got there. It would be nice if they had updated their hours for the holidays and not allowed people to make reservations and waste their time on a place that was closed!!!

It was a shame. I had a booking confirmation fot December 24 in the evening but the restaurant was closed. Incredible.
