Reid’s Cafe is located in beautiful Sugar Mountain, NC. We love the intentional, the specific, and the well-cared-for. We work closely with our local farms and purveyors to curate fresh, seasonal menus that feature regionally sourced meats, a rotation of fresh oysters and select seafood. All of our breads, pastas, and pastries are prepared in-house daily. Our Bar offers local beers, seasonal craft cocktails, and a well chosen wine selection. We are currently operating under all Covid-19 restrictions and following all CDC and local guidelines. The health and safety of our guests and our staff is our #1 priority. Outdoor reservations are by phone only. We look forward to seeing you.

Reid’s is always delicious and the service is always great. Not crazy about their open plan as it can get noisy, but it wasn’t bad last night. Our waitress on 7/28 was exceptional, sorry I can’t remember her name. Wish they were still open for lunch.

Some interesting appetizers and entrees. Pheasant entre was a dud; pork chop was dry; pasta special and fragoie were excellent.

Third visit to Reid’s, Monday was different in that the menu is smaller. Our table had the Okra and peach vegetable dish, the chilled beet and tomato soup, and for the entree de jour, the mushroom pasta, blue fin tuna and the steak. Every dish was flavorful, wonderfully prepared and delicious! The downside was service. Our server was kind, was friendly but seemingly in the weeds and almost avoiding eye contact. We waited nearly thirty minutes from seating to get our first drink. To buffer, maybe they were short staffed, maybe the server was newer, maybe the crowd was unexpected, maybe we all got there in the same short time frame. I leave you with this, in the end, the food was wonderful, it was worth waiting a bit. Go to Reid’s it’s wonderful.

This was our first time to Reid’s. The whole experience was outstanding! The food was delicious, we had raw oysters and the special triggerfish dinner for the night. It was all excellent. I would have liked a vegetable with my couscous salad but that is the only negative I have to say about the dinner. The dessert was awesome! We chose a Kentucky bourbon peach cake with blackberry ice cream…..delicious! It is a very elegant restaurant with outstanding food and the prices to reflect that. It will be a special occasion restaurant for us!

Had the steak, potatoes with asparagus. Delicious! I really appreciate the hibiscus tea, naturally caffeine free and so refreshing.
