Great dining experience in every way. Highly recommend this restaurant!!!
Very good food. Prices on the high side. Enjoyed it overall.
I am obsessed with this place, and so is everyone I’ve gone with. The charcuterie board and the focaccia are particularly divine.
Reid’s never fails to impress with their seasonal specials. Delicious food with a gorgeous presentation!
Food great. Overpriced: 6 oysters, ribeye steak, 2 glasses of wine =$149. It’s a cafe-no table cloths Would expect to pay that for finer dining.
Food was great, seams the cost of entrees has risen in the last couple of months. Also, was disappointed that you have discounted bread service.
Service was good as well.
Small pizzas are great as is the grilled Romain salad.
Food was excellent! Service was fair!
Excellent food quality, creative cuisine, ability to sit outside, the best rose I've been able to find anywhere. Service staff is good but varies in friendliness and some portions can be on the small side (they are charging for bread).
In a COVID world where many restaurants are closed to indoor dining in this area, Reids is a gem. Its small, sophisticated menu is exceptional and its chefs do an amazing job. The server we have had the last few times has tried to steer us to spend more money (ie recommending the top shelf vodka, the $55 lamb entree and bringing me a bowl of soup instead of asking whether I'd just like a cup) and her attitude was a bit cold, dismissive. But the food more than makes up for a lack of friendly service in this case. I always recommend their oysters. Healthy eaters should exercise caution as the food can be heavily salted and rich. Wonderful bartenders!
As usual the food is excellent and perfectly seasoned. Our server was attentive and accommodating to special requests.
We love supporting Reid’s and they never disappoint. The entrees are always creative and there’s always a delicious soup of the day to get you warmed up. Highly recommend.
Was our first visit to Reid's and won't be our last. Dishes and presentation were excellent as were the wine and mixed drink offerings. We were seated promptly and service was very professional.
Always great.
Reid’s is always a good choice. We make a point to go there anytime we are in the area.
Excellent! They have a great menu!
The food is always delicious. Just wish you had regular ice tea and plan ole coke.
The food is the reason to go... not much more to brag about. I could list all the service flaws for a restaurant of this caliber, but why? If you expect service commensurate with the cost of this restaurant, you might be disappointed.
The NC Burrata was outstanding! Shout out to their supplier...
The food and drinks was delicious! I highly recommend. My husband and I will be back in the future.
Very relaxing and high quality dining experience. Food and cocktails were outstanding. Service was prompt and friendly. Will definitely return.
Truly outstanding food and service. One of the best restaurants we have enjoyed in WNC. The only minor negative was that the portions were a bit on the small size.
We adore Reid's - delicious food, marvelous wine, lovely personnel, delightful decor. While they are not the cheapest restaurant in town, the food is definitely worth it. We always get an order of their chicken wings - and that may sound mundane but theirs are amazing. We have never been disappointed.
The acoustics were not very good. At times in was difficult to hear dinner table conversation.
Bottom line, they charged us $45 for a piece of bone-filled fish and no sides. Nearly $50 for a fish dipped in fried grease. We left hungry after eating mediocre food. The cheese tray that we ordered as an appetizer was awful! Hands down the worst cheese board we've ever ordered. The poor hostess cleared tables as she attempted to manage a line of guests coming in the door. We had a 8:15pm reservation and still waited several minutes before being greeted by any staff member. Once seated, we couldn't even enjoy our time there because the music was so loud. We will not be going back.
WOW! 1 star. We certainly wish we could have resolved any issues during your visit. Our "whole" fish special is something our community greatly looks forward to. We will continue to provide the freshest ingredients, the highest level of service, and continue with our rigorous cleaning regimens, excessive hand washing, 14 hour shifts {with a mask on}, and keep everyone's health and safety as our top priority. We appreciate the feedback. Stay safe.
Excellent spot for lunch
Reid's is a little different... in a good way. It's small, pretty quiet and has some interesting menu choices. We had the whole pan-fried flounder and it was probably the best fish dish we've ever had ANYWHERE. It wasn't cheap at $45 per plate, but it was worth it. One of us had the homemade pasta with bolognese sauce - also excellent. Make reservations - Reid's is small. My only complaint was that the server didn't check back as often as we might have liked, but they seemed to be a little understaffed so we could certainly understand it.
Best place!
Delicious and safe
Delicious lunch!
Our new favorite! Great food! Great staff.
Delicious!! The wings and roasted wings were a great start!!
Great food and service at reasonable prices. Plan to return during our stay.
Love this place. Food and service are outstanding. Go back regularly!
Food was good but not great. Had the fried snapper, which was very good, but my husband's lamb was dry and unremarkable. Focaccia unremarkable.
Service was very good, ambiance decent - all COVID protocols in place - but the prices for the wine and food were too high for the overall quality and taste.
Best food and service!
Fantastic food..fresh, locally sourced. We were on patio so we mighta been out of sight and outta mind as the server didn’t come back to see us after the delicious food was served.
I had the lamb and gazpacho and both were delicious. Service was good and we sat at the only table on the barside so no one was around. My only complaint is it’s pretty pricey for a small cafe type restaurant in a strip mall in Banner Elk NC!
One of our favorite restaurants! We have never benn disappointed and Jessica is an amazing waitress!!
Great gem of a restaurant. You can’t go wrong here with everything outstanding!
Delicious food, great service. Comfortable, covered patio makes for reassuring pandemic dining (interior tables were well-spaced, too).
