It was a relaxed atmosphere with a wonderful view of the pond on the deck outside. Food substitutions were easily made to accommodate specific dining needs.

Been in this area for a couple of years. In that time we had a birthday party last year, using a private room for 17 people. Also 2 anniversaries, 3 family reunions, and dinners with friends. Always excellent food and excellent service.

This was our first visit to Regions 117 and we were excited because it had been so well recommended. Checking the menu out online before hand, we were prepared that it was pricey and had high expectations. The restaurant itself is nice but the view is lovely. We sat outside on the deck and it was really pretty. The service was attentive but not hovering and we waited a while before the waitress took our drink order. By then we were ready to place our meal order. Water came in a water bottle, which we really appreciated. My husband and I ordered Cesar salads with shrimp, my older daughter ordered kale and peach salad and my younger daughter ordered white pizza. What a disappointment! The Cesar salads were iceberg lettuce with shaved parmesan and Italian salad dressing. That was pretty shocking, given the price. The shrimp, however, was done to perfection - grilled and delicious - but more than $2 per shrimp. The kale and peach salad would have been great except that the peach was hard as a rock - in the middle of peach harvest season. The white pizza was amazing, however. The best of the lot. No alcohol and the lunch came to $110. It was absolutely not worth it. We will definitely try again, just hoping that we hit the kitchen on an off day.

We showed up not knowing that there would be music outside. Fortunately we were able to sit outside and take it in. They should do more advertising when they do have music. Our waiter, Philip, was attentive and paced the meal well. We didn’t have to wait too long for him to come back and he was knowledgeable about the menu. We enjoyed our visit and will definitely come again.

Not sure what people are giving good reviews for this place, food is basic at best. Son ordered one meal, brought a different then tried giving him the same steak back which was not what he ordered.

This was our fourth visit to Regions 117. We continue to be impressed. The location , setting and view is perfect for any season. We had delightful service provided by Rachel. She was knowledgeable about the food and wine, had a great sense of humor and very personable and attentive to us as well as numerous other guests. We were a party of four. Each ordered a different entrée from the menu. The visuals all were photo worthy and the taste for each fabulous, we agreed. The number 1 pick though was the Millionaire Burger..definitely with the fried egg on top. Sounds terrible I know but once you've tried it, you'll be hooked. We turned down the opportunity to have dessert this visit but in the past we had the crème brulee and bread pudding. OMGosh! Sooo Good. Next time it'll be dessert first.

Would recommend to add to the reservations page a statement that outside is first come first serve and cannot be requested during reservations. Unable to eat outside with reservations for 5:30pm and waiting an additional 25 minutes.

We have dined twice in the past 6 months at Region's 117 and are grateful for OpenTable as we would not have known about it. Region's 117 is well worth the drive from downtown D.C. for a wonderful experience. The ambience, the wonderful staff, wonderful menu, excellent food and exceptional list of Virginia wines makes it a go to destination. The minute you walk into the building and smell the aromas of the wood-fired grill, you will enjoy the experience.

A true gem and somewhat hidden. We've been there four or five times now and have always enjoyed the dining experience. My only constructive comment would be to do something about the noise level. Maybe some baffles on the wall or sound dampeners in key places...I don't know. It's still a very, very nice place to eat, but always loud inside. If a nice day, I recommend eating outside on the patio. The best bank for the buck at Regions 117 is the Steak Salad, medium rare. Love it and you get a lot for the price.

My darling and I wanted to have a fancy date as our last little date for a while since she was soon to be heading off to college and it really exceeded expectations! Not only was the restaurant and building itself beautiful but the food, service and environment in there was just as wonderful. I definitely recommend it for a “fancy date” or even just a fantastic place for an everyday dinning.

Had the reuben and really enjoyed the chef's take on it by adding the American Kimchi. Not too hot, but added a nice zing. And the roasted sweet potatoes are awesome! Please add more to the plate!

Lovely place for Sunday brunch, although the noise level is a little high. The thing that keeps you coming back are the warm ginger beignets - to die for!!! Pleasant wait staff and nice surroundings. Your choice of outdoor dining or indoor.

We had the Fried Green Tomatoes as an appetizer. The only strike in the entire meal was that the ranch dressing used as a dip came from a bottle. With all the effort they go to on all the other food, make the ranch from scratch!

Cilantro Lime Skirt steak was awesome. Cooked perfectly and great taste. The grilled tomatoes that came with the steak were very delicious.

My wife had the goat cheese flatbread as her dinner. It was very good as well.

Dining at Regions 117 is always almost completely enjoyable. The food is excellent, fresh and in the right quantity. The service is excellent - the wait staff is friendly and attentive. The only reason we don't go more often is that the indoor noise level is off the charts. It is almost impossible to engage in conversation without seriously raising your voice. Recommend off hours when it is not so crowded.

Needed a place to while away a few hours while a friend was visiting a family member. There aren’t too many places in this neck of the woods that fit the bill of where to sit, read, and drink wine and gave a nice meal. Region’s 117 was a delightful surprise! It is located on the Trilogy active retirement property but open to the public. There’s a lovely deck overlooking the lake, part of which is covered by an awning, and the rest is open to the sun. The inside decor was modern with high lodge-like ceilings, a beautiful open fireplace. And separate bar (for sports fans) and a dining area for others. Service was friendly and flexible. I did not get a chance to eat but the food I observed as servers passed looked very good. They strive to purchase as much as possible within 117 miles... local is great! This is a lovely restaurant with solid friendly service. I would definitely return if I were in the area.
