Executive Chef Scott Bilstad uses locally-sourced ingredients, most from with 117 miles of the restaurant, to craft a menu that has something for everyone, from extra lumpy crab cakes to wood-fired pizza and more.
Region's 117 is truly a treasure, as it is the only venue for lakeside dining in the Valley, located just behind the gates at the dynamic Shenandoah Lodge. We welcome all who enjoy delicious food paired with an uninterrupted view of the 117-acre Lake Frederick from inside, or out on our expansive Veranda. Everyone's meal, desserts, service, and ambience was excellent. We look forward to returning soon.
We had great service with continual drink refills. The food was hot and the fish and chips were excellent.
Everyone in our party loved the steak and cheese and millionaire burgers.
Excellent as always. Ladies lunch out and service and ambiance amazing as always.
Our pizza was hot and very tasty, our friends tuna dishes were not hot enough for their liking.
Incredible food, perfectly cooked by amazing chefs! The entire staff cares that your meal is perfect and you feel as though they really care that you came there for dinner. Absolutely love it for a meal any time of day!
Food was all good for the four of us. The staff was friendly and checked on us frequently.
I love this place. Adorable decor and warm ambiance. Lots of gluten free options, which is essential for me and my family. We are regulars and I wish we could get there more often than we do. Beautiful outdoor seating when it's nice out.
WE have been to the restaurant a few times and we are never disappointed.
Was a nice friendly experience. Will be back. Love the farm to table concept.
We live in this community and eat here often. The Crab Topped Salmon with a light Saffron sauce was a new dish for us and was perfection! Accompaning vegetables perfectly cooked. Bravo to our chef and his staff. Service, as always, attentive snd professional.
New year’s day
We were just looking for some place open on Jan. 1, and so found this quite by accident. A little challenging to find...its inside a gated community...but well worth the trip. I had a spectacular cauliflower risotto, husband a chicken salad sandwich with walnuts and cranberries. This would be an amazing place at times of the year when you could sit outdoors, but a roaring fireplace is not bad either. We will be back.
Very busy for Sunday brunch. A bit noisy. Service was very good as was the food.
Perfect place for brunch. Try the Sweet Potato and Pork Belly hash. The chefs know how to cook the perfect over medium eggs to go with the hash. Lovely views and friendly staff.
Simply a fabulous restaurant ! Living in Stephens City, I've been a frequent patron since Regions 117 opened and I'm grateful to have this gem so close to home. There is nothing else like this restaurant in all of northwestern Virginia. A unique and delicious menu, made fresh as you order, excellent staff, family friendly, comfortable seating, clean as a whistle- cannot say enough about Regions 117. If you haven't tried it yet-what are you waiting for ? You'll love it!
This is a beautiful restaurant in a special setting. My only concern is that the menu is very limited.
Had the Shrimp Scampi. It was awesome. Pizza was really good too. We will be back
Food and service at Regions 117 was excellent, if a bit pricey. Trying to pay the bill with a gift card we had been given was a hassle. While the restaurant is supposedly open to the public, it is located in a closed, gated 55+ communty and it is not equipped to handle gift cards without manager involvement. Took 30 minutes to get the bill straightened out, ruining what otherwise was a pleasant dining experience.
Our group of four dined on a Friday for lunch. We shared 4 appetizers and had entrees, 2 had dessert. Wonderfully attentive server with excellent suggestions. I recommend the meatball appetizer, was told the crabcakes and burger were amazing and was blown away with the butter cake, omg!!! Great ambiance, food and service!
We just had a superb lunch at Regions 117! Had the Organic Mushroom Pizza, Baby Greens & Heirloom Tomato salad with Chicken Salad, & Chicken Salad Sandwich on Jalapeño Cornbread. Ohh my goodness, it was a superb experience in every aspect!
We were a party of four for a Christmas celebration. We were delighted by the delicious food and the special drink menu. Even though it was cold out, we were able to enjoy a view of the lake. We love the atmosphere in this lovely community. We look forward to returning again soon!
good food, reasonable prices, good service, nice ambience
Delicious meal and great service. We will be returning.
Wish I would have known them earlier ! Super delicious food and lovely waitress. Cozy and gorgeous place to eat. I loved it.
Great place for brunch with friends. Was upscale without being pretentious. Fun place , open with a 4 sided fireplace. We will eat there again very soon.
Region 117 is a great place. We love it all seasons. The ambiance is the best part.
Love to eat dinner with friends here, always great menu and changes each season
This was our first time visiting the area. We really enjoyed dinner - medallions of beef with wonderful sauce. We had a very creative cocktail beforehand. We’d definitely return. Service and quality were great.
We were visiting the area and found Regions 117 through an open table search for restaurant serving Sunday Brunch. Finding this restaurant was a bit tricky as it’s located inside a gated retirement community, which should be disclosed in the restaurant’s online description. Once we actually found the building where the restaurant is located , parking was ample. The building overlooks a lake and is beautifully decorated with a large glass fireplace as a focal point and also seems to house an activity center, gift shop and sales information desk for the retirement community itself. The problem is the food which is cafeteria level quality and overpriced. My omelette was paper thin (similar to pre-cooked eggs you might see at a fast food restaurant) and had processed cheese inside. The omelette does not come with any toast or breakfast meat, so if you want those it costs extra. What they listed on the menu as beignets, tasted like re-heated glazed donuts. A “side order” of sausage consists of one small, sausage patty. They also didn’t have any Tabasco sauce when asked. Altogether the food was institutional and overpriced - brunch for two ran us over $80. and neither of us ordered anything from the bar. Regions 117 needs to seriously up their game is they ever hope to build and maintain business from the general public outside of the captive audience they have in this rural senior living community.
W always enjoy a meal here. The food is delicious, and the service is excellent. We also appreciate on tap the stout and/or porter from local craft brewer, Back Room Brewery.
Outstanding in service and food. Will definitely be back soon.
Always delicious food and when you have Robin you get the best service ever!! Hostesses are always delightful, manager always stops by to check in. Favorite spot for date nights!! Can't go wrong dining here.
Repeat customers. Went for the whole lobster special this time and it was outstanding! The staff is the best!
Soup and half sandwich was perfect for a cold Saturday!
We have all been to this restaurant several times and have always been beyond pleased. Took a friend for lunch and unfortunately we were all so disappointed with our luncheon salads. Brussel sprouts appetizer was fantastic though! Will go back. May have just been an off day.
We really enjoyed sitting by the fire and enjoying a glass of wine before dinner. The people at the restaurant are friendly, and the food and ambiance were wonderful. We will come back again.
love this place and we'll go back but they were not on their A-game this night. The person with us requested the beef medallions without the mushrooms and medium well. They put mushrooms on it which she was okay with but they insisted on redoing it. The rest of the tables meal came out while they were redoing it. When it came out for the second time it was bloody red instead of medium well. It had to be sent back again. At this point the rest of us were almost done. The third time it came, it was better but there were still pieces that were too red for her to eat. She ate what she felt comfortable with and left the rest. They were apologetic and did not charge 4 that portion of the meal. We were there too long because of the multiple issue. Server was great, it certainly wasn't her fault.
I had a drink after dinner that was called a caramel White Russian. There wasn’t much caramel taste to it. As a chef I am looking for that to be featured. Adding a drizzle or something else would had hieghtened the drink and make worth the $10 I spent on it.
Excellent. Best thanksgiving meal ever. Great service too
Thanksgiving lunch. Not too crowded. Great meal
