   From being greeted at the door throughout the entire meal everyone was very attentive to us. Food was delicious!

   This was our first visit to this newly renovated facility under new management. We were pleasantly surprised when we attended brunch on Easter Sunday. The restaurant is a nice addition to the Capital District restaurant scene. We will definitely return.

   Initially, good service and had lovely oysters and out of this duck riletts. Main courses were good, but suddenly the servers were more interested in themselves and the entrees took forever. Ordered chocolate mousse, when asked where it was sfter 20 mins , they said the hey would check on it. They told us “ they ran out and they were making a new batch”……..this was a mousse with passion fruit and a hard chocolate shell!!! When it arrived it was still partially frozen. LIARS!

   Lionaise salad was excellent. Sabllefish melted in your mouth. Bar does not have Southern Comfort. Please fix that.

   Dined at The Regent on Friday April 11. Our bartenders, Rachel and Kim were outstanding - very attentive and personable. Tried a specialty cocktail, Postcards from Paris that was delicious. The chicken entree and the scallop entree both from the dinner menu were both excellent. Entree portions were very filling. The side of duck fries are beyond compare. Definitely a staple when I dine there. Also tried a dessert, crème brûlée, and it did not disappoint. Everything was excellent including the presentation. Will definitely be returning.

   We were celebrating our anniversary and since we had read a good review by Steve Barnes, decided come in for an early Sunday 5pm reservation. We were the first to arrive and were greeted warmly by the Maître D' - he wished us a happy anniversary and asked us if we were OK with a booth. Our server, Arnole, was also very friendly, attentive and also wished us a happy anniversary. He answered all of our questions about the menu and giving us some helpful suggestions since it was our first time. We enjoyed our meal, the French Onion soup, not overly salty, nice slices of bread and really tender onions. The fourme d’ambert cheese on the Beet salad went very nicely with the beets. Cassoulet was delicious and enough for us to share. We had a lovely dinner and look forward to coming back for Brunch.

   Tried the new brunch menu yesterday and it was ahhhhmazing! The smoked salmon toast was delicious and the mocktails are as visually appealing as they are tasty.

   My husband had the sablefish entree and couldn’t stop saying “wow” throughout the meal. That’s not like him. I enjoyed the excellent chicken ballotine and prior to the meal, an excellent cocktail at the bar called a French Blond. Overall wonderful meal, excellent bar staff, interesting and modern design.

    This was our 2nd time at the Regent. It was literally just "okay." The bread basket looked beautiful, but half of the bread was stale, which was disappointing bread that cot $15. (Yes - BREAD for the table is $15!) The service was utterly horrible, with our server being cocky and inattentive. It took a ridiculous amount of time to place an order, a ridiculous amount of time to get our food, a ridiculous amount of time to get our bill, and - after we gave the server our card, he never came back. After 30 minutes I tracked him down to find my card and leave. We felt like hostages. The food was meh - just ok. Everything was plated well and beautiful in appearance, but the flavor profiles were not there. Sauces were flavorless and lack-luster. Salads were unimpressive and unbalanced. Soups were mediocre and unoriginal. Scallops were chewy and overcooked. So strange: The first time we were they, they were very busy and hit it out of the park! This time: There was only one or two other tables beside our party and they utterly missed. (D-)
