   Stopped at Reef because it is close to our apartment and were offering a points special in the Open App. My wife and I wanted to try something new and both loved the options for appetizers on the menu. Everything we ordered was very good to excellent. We had calamari, fried oysters and crab cakes for appetizers, each was pretty good. My only complaint was that the cornmeal hid the taste of the calamari a bit, but otherwise it was very good. Many restaurants overcook their calamari, that was not the case here. For dinner my wife had the scallops and I had the snapper. Both were excellent. Our server, Amy, went above and beyond. She was a true gem.

   Had not been to Reef in a while; it really does serve good food. Oysters fresh and tasty, calamari very good, grandson really enjoyed the red fish and fried macaroni and cheese; the crabcakes are outstanding; our server Diana was superb and has been there forever. Caswell must be a nice person to work for, and he runs an outstanding restaurant. His wine list is quite good and very reasonably priced. Our cocktails were good, too - the martini and the bluebonnet.

   Always some of the freshest fish you'll find. What they serve depends on what has been caught that day. You just can't beat the creativity and delicious options that are forever changing. Been many times and never been disappointed.

   We tried a couple of the fish dishes - they were excellent. The service was great. There was a team of 2 serving us. There is definitely a large wine list and the waiter made a good recommendation.

   Disappointed. Not worth the money was terribly expensive . There were 6 of us for happy hour ordered two appetizers plus the gumbo from regular menu and a $60 bottle of wine. The bill was almost $300 for average food and below average service. The hostess at the door met us with a less than friendly demeanor which did not help with the experience to begin with. Will not be back way too expensive for the quality of restaurant.

   Reef is one of my favorites and the crabcakes have been a historical go to item for me. Was disappointed in the quality of them this time. Lots of filler with very little crab Excellent service and attention from the wait staff.

   Took four first time friends there for dinner and they just loved the food. Everyone loved their fish entrees and ranted and raved about the Gumbo and fried mac and cheese. Very successful evening. Service was first class as usual and nice touch for the Manager to come over and acknowledge our party and she knew me from previous visits. The milk shakes at the end was something my friends had never experienced and they were impressed.

    Love this place! Always excellent service and food, wine selection is expansive and reasonably priced
