Do you know the acronym WYSIWYG? "What you see is what you get." Well that precisely describes the Redwood Steakhouse in the California Hotel and Casino. And it's great. Our servers were Yul and Maria, and you could NOT ask for two better people to take care of you. They were fantastic from beginning to end! Speaking of beginnings, we had a reservation that was honored immediately. We got a booth in the corner in the back--just perfect for us! Immediately we received water, bread, and butter. Oh, man, was the bread delicious! We decided to forego cocktails (next time!) and we ordered a bottle of wine. Now, the wine list is modest, but we were able to find a delicious pinot noir from the Russian River Valley for a very modest price. It was great. We started by sharing the escargot. If there ever was an excuse to eat a lot of butter and garlic, this was it. (Dip your toast!). We split a Caesar salad and moved on to the entrees. She had the filet and I had the bone-in ribeye. Both were prepared to perfection--nice coating (salt and pepper, mostly) and cooked at the exactly right level of doneness. We shared the asparagus, which was simply prepared but perfectly done. We just couldn't pull off dessert and after-dinner drinks this time, but we will when we return! This is a locals' joint (although they seem to get a lot of overseas traffic). Sure, it's not the very top end, but it ain' no Texas Roadhouse, either. Expect thoughtful service, delicious food, good prices, and a great time. We're "relocals," having lived her a very long time ago. It's great to be back, and it's really amazing to find that the Redwood Steakhouse has maintained its quality since way back when. This is a place we look forward to returning to, and bringing family and friends. And thanks again to Maria and Yul, who made a fine experience perfect. How about that action?!

I booked for a birthday. First off the garlic bread was hard as a rock and cut the inside of my mouth. The prices are ridiculous for what you get. 66 $ for a single plate of meat was too much . Eating at Aloha specialties upstairs at the California is 100 times better than eating at redwood. The roasted chicken was okay. We didn't bother to order dessert since the food was mediocre. Didn't feel like wasting anymore money there. Needless to say we won't be back.

**Amazing Second Visit to the Steakhouse!** **Amazing Second Visit to the Steakhouse!** My girlfriend and I recently returned to this steakhouse for the second time, and once again, it did not disappoint. Every aspect of our meal was exceptional—from the perfectly cooked ribeye steak to my girlfriend’s delicious shrimp and scallops, which were some of the best we’ve ever had. Our experience was made even more memorable thanks to Donna, our lovely and helpful host. This was our second time being served by her, and her warm personality and attentive service truly enhanced our visit!

A hidden gem. Staff was excellent and food was 5 of 5. My steak was cooked perfectly and my wife's lamb chops were perfect. The Chef even came and asked us how we liked it. He really cares.

We had a wonderful dinner, Donna and Antonia are exceptional! We had the pleasure of their service during our last visit, and were thrilled to have them again! The Chef is great, and like always, stopped by our table to check on us. Mahalo and we will see you again!
