Nearly everything is made in-house, and we are proud to partner with local farms, dairies and ranches as often as we can Join us Saturday nights for our Kingston Farmer's Market inspired Prix Fixe. Because of the waiter who was very unfriendly and unattentive, the experiencer was awful. Had a choice of going to Redwood or Duo Bistro but since have not been to Redwood Bar wanted to experience their dining. Must say will not return to Redwood and I'm now sorry that I didn't go to Duo Bistro.

Our server was great and the wine was very good, but the food was overall quite disappointing. The shishito peppers were not blistered enough, the soup dumplings barely had any liquid in them (ie. not soup dumplings), the squash appetizer was cold (had it been served warm I think the dish would have improved immensely), the ramen was bland with way too much pork fat, and the mini burgers were nothing to write home about. My father got the lamb pasta, which he liked, but overall we were disappointed with the food. If they worked out the kinks in their menu, we would give this place another try, but as it stands we probably will not be returning.

nice variety of offerings, salads were all very good. Mains were only OK. Several of the meals were served only slightly warmer than room temperature. Corn bisque with lobster melted cheese sandwich was not a hit. The lobster sandwich had generous amounts of lobster and was nice although the cheese was bland. Server was very pleasant and tried hard, but seemed not to understand some requests or think ahead.

Redwood was our choice for dinner before a concert. The service was excellent and our server went out of her way to check on ingredients and the chef willingly accommodated a food allergy. The lighting is very dim so it was difficult to determine where the fat was on my pork dish. Everyone in our party agreed that while the meals were flavorful, the pricing was a bit high. We did not have appetizers so may go back to have a light meal and dessert.

Brunch was just okay. Fries were half cooked, Egg sandwich was mushy and lettuce on the side salad was still soaked in water from cleaning. Service is slow when you are on the roof, since it’s so far from the kitchen. Considering the restaurant was empty - food and service should have been much better.

Great meal. Ramen was perfect and Swiss Chard salad was amazing. Real food without all the fuss. Open kitchen on the first floor and a cool deck on the roof. Every neighborhood should have a place like this.

Wanted a place to have lunch outside. They have a covered terrace that is up quite a lot of steps. Menu limited but food was good. Service very friendly

Liked the outdoor top area. Food sounded good as described on menu, but wasn't that great. Service was good, didn't have to wait long.

This is an all star venue from the menu, ingredients, staff, service and view. Can't wait to return. This is a must when visiting uptown Kingston!

The ambiance was nice and the food was good. The service was fine. Unique menu items are interesting and tasty (i.e. the venison burger and short ribs with cumin spice). I drove 45 mins each way to get the restaurant. Not sure that I would do so again in the future as there are other options with tasty food as well much closer to me. However it was worth a try. To improve, I would put candles on the table and offer more pasta dishes and a couple more red wine options. Also maybe pads on the outdoor seating. The old fashioned drink that I had did not have any fruit or cherries in it, which was surprising to me.
