Great location for a superb business dinner!
Steaks are their key, but nice alternatives as well.
The BEST macaroni and cheese ever! The 40 day aged ribeye was delicious and so were the cocktails! The only issue is the bathroom is on the 2nd floor and not close to the downstairs at all and there were gnats all over!
Our first visit to Red. The food was good, but not as fantastic as the prices would justify. I’d love to see this place succeed, as it’s a great location, and they’ve done a nice job renovating to create a cool space.
The challenge that have is they are competing with Capital Grille and other premium steak houses. They have to be exceptional, and they didn’t hit that mark.
My steak was as good as any I have had at other top notch steak houses. The atmosphere was plain. The service was impeccable. According to my date, the chicken parmigiana was very good - huge portion. The beans with thick cut bacon were out of this world, and maybe the best garlic fries I have ever had. Overall a very good pick but the prices are a bit high even for a top tier restaurant. Lastly, they offer prime vs non-prime steaks. This made no sense to me. Either you offer terrific meat or you don't. I would not invite guests to my home and have second best quality steaks for them as an option. And on a $150-$200 tab?- who is going to want to save $10, and risk appearing cheap in the process? Providing the option seems a bit tacky. I'm glad I went, but would probably not add it to my must return list.
Great food and atmosphere. The steak was excellent
the server was like a robot. I tried to make small talk and she gave me a look as of I was wrong for taking about a song that was playing. I have had better service at outback and olive garden witch the servers laugh and become a 30 min. family member. Made my family feel uncomfortable. Food was great though and yes very pricey.
Staff and food was excellent! We enjoyed almost having the place to ourselves. The porterhouse steak was fabulous!
My husband and I enjoyed our evening out at Reds. We kept hearing great things about the restaurant and thought we'd try for ourselves. We were not disappointed. My husband had the Bone in Ribeye...it's not on the menu, you have to request it and I had the Salmon. Both were delicious, and the cream corn was the perfect pairing. I'll.definitely go back.
It was a great choice. I wanted to take my date somewhere nice that she wouldn’t forget. This was definitely the place. Very romantic, not intrusive, overall we loved it. Seating outside was a great option.
This was our first time dining at Red. Our server was awesome! Really helpful and overall friendly and fun! The food was all delicious! We had cocktails, a full meal and dessert, and loved all of it. We’ll definitely return again.
The food was and the service was amazing 1st dining and the the experience was breathtaking great job red steakhouse
Date night with wife, graciously seated as soon as we arrived. Our server, Aaron, had a terrific attitude and was very accommodating. The bone-in ribeye was one of the best I’ve ever eaten and the cream corn side dish should not be missed. All-in-all, a great experience. Red is right up there with best steakhouses in the Midwest!
Food and service were excellent. We were a late 11pm reservation and were very impressed with the excellent service we received - we were not rushed, not made to feel like the staff wanted to leave, and had a full appetizer through dessert meal. We enjoy eating late, and this was a great experience. Stuffed hot peppers appetizer is always excellent (we get it every time we eat here)! Steaks were cooked to the correct temperatures and their sides are always good - love the whipped potatoes, green beans, and creamed corn. Donut dessert is a must get - they are always hot, fresh, and delicious- YUM!
Nice dinner and service for our special occasion. Steak is spot on!
One of the best steaks I've ever had! You definitely get what you pay for.
Which they had draft beer. The wait staff was great and checked on us often; from the bartender to our waiter.
We enjoyed our meal here for our anniversary! There were a few things we thought could’ve been done better from a service standpoint, but it wasn’t anything worth mentioning.
This was my second visit to Red. The first was fabulous and this time they exceeded the first. Great oysters (especially with the Friday special of $1 per oyster), fabulous dry aged ribeye, and the sides are very good (the creamed corn is amazing). Service both times was outstanding. I have a new favorite steakhouse in Indy. Red understands how to stand out in a crowd.
This was an odd experience. The food was good. However the steak was very rare though ordered medium rare. Not worth sending it back though. i can never understand how a high end steak place can't get the steak cooked to proper temperature. The side of au-gratin potatoes was good, but the asparagus never came. Again not worth the trouble and he took it off the bill as would be expected.
The waiter thought he was an expert on everything: food, wine, restaurant concept and was a bit annoying at first, but calmed down later and was reasonable good. So i may go back; maybe not. Overall a mixed experience. More flash than substance.
My family was looking forward to enjoying a nice steak dinner out on Saturday night but overall, the food was not what we were expecting. The order was messed up and the mac n cheese was served COLD. That immediately turned us off. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The bill was $300. AND NOT WORTH IT AT ALL.
Celebrating a new job
Enjoyed my birthday dinner with my husband. Great food in a beautiful restaurant
The food, and the atmosphere were fantastic. We even got to meet the chef. Great place for a date, anniversary, or special occasion.
The service was outstanding and the food was absolutely perfect !
Pro - Excellent food, great service. Con - $14 cocktails - way too expensive.
Great food, but noisy for a high end steakhouse.
I have been to every steakhouse in central Indiana and this one hits number 2 in my books. Pretty pricey though, plan on spending $150 plus tip, plus valet, and you're creeping up on a $200 total for a steak dinner for 2. Ouch!!! But food is great, from start to finish. Thoroughly enjoyed.
Got the prime ribeye and it was absolutely delicious. One of the best ribeyes I’ve had. I also recommend the truffle whipped potatoes over the regular whipped ones. Much better!
The food and service were excellent, I will definitely come back
Went for Devour with my husband for a date night. The service was amazing. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. We both had the filet which was cook perfectly. I had the steak tar tar and oysters, both were delicious. I highly recommend trying.
Best steak we have had in years & we have eaten at all the standby locations Mortan’s, Fleming’s, st elmo’s Here in Indy
The waiter was wonderful. I was shocked to find out it was only his 3rd day. The food was very good but considering the prices are comparable to St. Elmo & Flemings, I felt the food was not at the same level. I ordered a filet, Oscar Style. The béarnaise came out on the side and was somewhat cold. It tasted good but the temperature was off-putting. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to friends. The food was very good. I just expected more I guess considering the price.
With so many steak options in town, this restaurant is at the top of my list. The service is fantastic, food is terrific, the menu is extremely diverse and they do everything well. A hidden gem on the menu is the Veal Parm (bone in)......exceptional!
This is one of our favorite places to have a wonderful dinner downtown. We frequent the restaurant for business and pleasure and Aaron is the best waiter we have had in Indy hands down. The head chef is great and the entire management staff go out of their way to ensure the entire evening is perfect. You can’t go wrong spending the evening with Red!!
The food and the service were superior. The fillet prime cut was the best I have ever had. Superior to Ruth’s Chris, St. Elmo’s and Morton’s. Extensive wine list and specialty cocktails. Was not disappointed! Would highly recommend for those foodies who don’t mind paying a higher price for quality food.
Great food with a modern decor. Staff was friendly and service was prompt. The classic mashed potatoes were simple and wonderful, no frills needed. Going to a steakhouse you expect great steaks and Red did not disappoint. Cooked perfectly with a good garlic and pepper crusted preparation.
Great spot to celebrate with family and friends. Delicious flavors and excellent service.
