Red Rocks Cafe - Charlotte
Billy Kloiber's Steak & Eggs*
Four ounce filet medallion wtih two eggs, prepared any style and your choice of hash browns, fruit cup, stone grits or tator tots
Our group of four dined inside at a booth which was quite roomy. The service was excellent. My blackened Ahi tuna was overcooked, but other meals seemed to be enjoyed. O
Food is always great! Staff is courteous and always attentive. We never have any complaints!
We love Red Rocks! ALWAYS great quality and service!
It was great. Food was great and I will return.
Always consistent food and service. My go-to place. Thank you, John Love!
The shrimp was perfectly cooked
The filets were melt in my mouth.
I ordered a non typical drink. Not only did you have campari, it was served perfectly with orange juice without ice as requested. Even extremely good restaurants mess that up frequently!
All was very good. Only one dinner was an issue, the Marsala sauce was not the usual one or the wrong sauce was used. Everything else was fresh and delicious.
I ordered a Rib Eye which is my go to for any restaurant that offers steaks. I ordered it medium rare which should be seared on both sides and have a mostly red warm center but the steak was disappointingly thin when delivered and medium on the verge of being medium well. We did however have the Buffalo Calamari which had more calamari than breading which was surprisingly good.
Great service and the food was well presented. The meals all around were excellent.
Great food and service!
Service was great and waitress was very attentive, food lacked seasoning and tasted basic but plate presentation was nice, would not recommend sitting outside because you will fight flies the ENTIRE time, menu was a little on the pricey side for a meal you could make at home that would taste better :/
Went for queen's feast restaurant week. Had the BBQ salmon. Thought it works be more of a glaze but it was a thick layer of BBQ sauce on salmon that could've used a little more seasoning. Won't go there again for queen's feast
We went here for Restaurant Week. The food was excellent. The service was great and the price was within what was advertised.
We were very happy with our experience at Red Rocks Cafe.
We recommend this restaurant.
The food was good quality, well prepared and hot... served hot and didn't seem to have been standing under a heat lamp. Kudos to the chef and the wait staff!
Food was good and service was outstanding.
The bartender was awesome. Very helpful in selecting the dinner meal.
It was Queen Fest week. Although, the restaurant was crowded, we had a great meal and great service. Lori was our server and she did a fantastic job. Very friendly.
I've been in Charlotte 40 years now. Never had a bad meal at Red Rocks Strawberry Hill.
Do not think the salmon needed so much bbq sauce; it was a bit overpowering, but the rest of the meal was fabulous!
The food, service, and feel of the restaurant was great overall. I would eat here again.
Good food and service during restaurant week. Great outdoor seating on warm evening
THe food was delicious, and our service was great. My only realcomplaint was for the price, the salad was extremely small and the Queen's feast options did not give a good representation of the regular menu. My husband ordered off the regular menu and his past was outstanding and a great value.
Would definitely go again!
The food was cooked perfectly, the drinks made just right and the service-superb.
Great food! We went for the queens feast and we’re not disappointed.
Good food & attentive service.
Everything was great, however the server was a bit harried … he seemed to have too many tables to keep up with … perhaps they are short staffed
Found this on Open Table when looking for a spot to grab dinner. Got to sit outside and even in this summer heat, it was late enough in the day and they had nice fans blowing to keep us cool. We both ordered from the special restaurant week menu and got different things so we could try each other's, which included an appetizer/salad, entree and desert. All of our food came out in a timely manner and was delicious with great presentation. Our waitress was having a rough night, but was still on top of things and we enjoyed her. I also love that the manager made his rounds to make sure everything was good and in order. Will definitely go back!
We are there for Charlotte restaurant week. The food is so good. The salmon was Excellent. The steak was good. Yes, try spinach sundries dip was good for Appetizer. The only complaint will be the shrimp cocktail three shrimps, not another cocktail sauce. Desserts are wonderful. The service was excellent. I don’t know where the waitress name was but she was really good. I recommend going to this place.
Outdoor patio was fantastic, nice and shady and cool. Service was excellent and jambalaya was tasty.
Excellent food as usual. Our party enjoyed the crab cake appetizers. Entrees included steak with shrimp and lobster ravioli. We had coconut cake for dessert. All were wonderful! Service was slow, but the waiter had a significant number of tables and it was the first night of restaurant week. We ate on the patio as inside was noisy due to the large number of people. Red Rocks is one of our favorites! We will be back.
Excellent as always! Courtney was an attentive and very pleasant server, the food was delicious, served beautifully and timely (impressive since everyone seems short staffed right now and it was the 1st night of Restaurant Week!) Tried some new dishes and old favorites, all perfect!
Noah did a great job as our server.
My wife loved her salmon dish.
I was pleased with my filet.
We will return soon.
So surprised and disappointed at our visit last night. I honestly cannot say one thing we had from cocktails, app, to entree were even average tasting. We paid the nearly $200 tab but definitely won’t come back. The worst- We ordered 3 steaks, medium rare. All 3 came out not even close to that! They were almost grey looking. And one order was completely wrong with the sides. They took them back and the manager came over. We told him hey no problem, we get things happen, if he has a new cook we can actually order something different than steak. But he said, defensively, the cook has been there 12 years and never had a steak sent back. Brought out the steaks again and one was fine. One was Med rare but absolutely no sear on the outside. It was the oddest thing to see- it looked so gross. Also zero seasoning- no salt/pepper. Third one had a sear but was just really inedible- no seasoning and just tasted bad. We didn’t complain again as we understand the industry is struggling with labor issues and honestly we just didn’t want to have another conversation with the manager about it as he was rather adamant the first round nothing like that has ever happened there before- just not a good, two way convo.
Food is great.
Always terrific! Every…single…time.
Food was delicious and service was great. A little pricey….
We have eaten at Red Rocks many times over the years, never a bad meal. Wonderful variety of menu options, always prepared the same way, with attention to detail. Helpful wait staff. A little loud, but it was a Saturday night. One of our favorite restaurants for as long as it has been open.
Red Rocks is always a good choice for our family and friends!
Loved it! Especially the potato cake. Will be back!
