Old ownership was much better. Seems like the new Chef just tried to steal all the old recipes but dropped the ball. I made a complaint comparing it to the old locations and the manager was rude and said they are not affiliated even though its like the same restaurant.
This was really disappointing. We used to go to their old location in Beachwood and it was our favorite restaurant. However, at their new location their ambiance is completely different. Kids were running screaming through the restaurant. A table across from us had a baby that cried bloody murder the whole time and the table behind us had a kid that kept kicking our booth the entire time. We even brought it up to the staff and they didn't say anything or offer to move us. One of our drinks from the bar was made wrong, one steak came out raw and another had a really gamey taste. All of these things would have been acceptable, but when paying $500 for a dinner you'd expect a little better. Sad to say that Red went from being our all time favorite to a restaurant we probably won't return to again.
Dennis was awesome!! Food was phenomenal! My daughter’s birthday was special!
I came here with my date and it was her first time at a Red. She was pleasantly surprised by how well the white Moscato tasted and she said the food was very good with her steak being cooked to perfection. This Red for me felt more like a pub compared to the previous location off of Richmond where it felt more like an upscale restaurant. I still enjoyed my time in the restaurant but the environment was just different than what I came accustomed to in prior visits.
Everything was ordered, cooked, poured, served to our satisfaction!
Anniversary made my girl feel special:)
Food and service were excellent!
We had a very pleasurable evening at Red. The food was very, very good (most important), and the server was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the menu, answered all of our questions, made sure we had everything we needed and that everyone was happy and satisfied. It really was a very nice experience. The reason I say the value is good is because I do think that you pay for the name and the location, which is fine, it was worth the cost. We will be back in the future. One more thing, I thought the spacing for COVID was excellent! We had absolutely no worries being in this space.
Over priced menu and wasn’t very tasty. Steak was undercooked, potatoes were salty, stuffed peppers weren’t really stuffed...the meat was just sitting on top of the peppers. Will never return!
Great evening and great meal. Bone in was top notch. We’ll go there again.
The way the staff handled social distancing and cleaning was outstanding. I commend them for taking the necessary time and attention to making sure their customers felt as though their safety was paramount. Great job!
We were very disappointed. We expected more for what they charge. Steaks were ok. Baked potato was not worth 12.00. We have been to Marble house several times and their prices are about the same but the ambiance , service and food were much better
We won't be back
RED never disappoints. The food and service are always what you hope for. This is one of our favorite restaurants and we will be back!
My husband and I frequent excellent restaurants. And, love the good dinners they provide. The dinners we had on Saturday were delicious. However, Red Grill Steakhouse at Pinecrest, the wine selection offered was not up to the cuisine they provide. I love Cabernet and the wines offered were not good. My husband and I often order Quilt or Caymus etc. Disappointed in the choice of wines to enjoy our dinner with. Please consider widening your wine list with more fine wines.....
Food and service were absolutely fanstastic. The decor is sterile and seating is not comfortable. But the food and service are what matter most and they aced that!
The atmosphere is awesome -contemporary and comfortable. Service and food exceptional.
The strip steak was the best i had in awhile. Our server was also great. Gotta go back soon
Anniversary dinner. Nice drinks at the bar. Super menu and food at our table. Exceptional serive.
very nice evening with a dear friend
This is a great space in a new development. Looking forward to better weather and trying the rooftop seating. Dinner was definitely a mixed bag that fell short of the great space. The good was that the steak was excellent and perfectly cooked but there was some not so good. The service was definitely spotty for the price point. Our service started ok but definitely waned as dinner progressed. The couple next to us even had to go to the bar to get a drink. The management seemed very attentive and helpful so maybe it is a staffing issue. Also, I was unimpressed with the sides. We had the potato poutine, which was disgusting, and the brussel spouts were undercooked and lacked flavor. Hopefully things will improve here as the previous location was definitely one of the areas top steakhouses.
Was a great dining experience but would prefer not to sit next to the door next time!!
I reserved a party of 10, the only thing good about our dinner party was the complimentary valet service and our waiter! The manager is very errogant and impatient. The menu is decent but the food isn’t tasteful. None of our food came as expected, meaning items were missing and meat wasn’t cooked as desired. They even forgot to make an entree all together. But please remember our server was exceptional. It’s the kitchens fault the food was served incorrectly.
Foos was very good. Server was not super attentive but overall not bad
Ambiance was fair. Nice restaurant but over priced all things considered
Really great food and service!
Excellent food. Excellent Service. We were celebrating a birthday and our waiter made it very special. We will be back!
Lobster was dry (why split it?) environment was cold.
Our server, Daniel, did an amazing job helping my friend’s birthday be as special as possible! The food was simply amazing! The steaks were done perfectly and super tender and the sides were stunning; the macaroni and cheese might be the best I’ve ever had, and better than my own. I will definitely be coming back, and hopefully soon!
Perfect night for a celebratory evening. Our server did a great job attending to our party of 9. Great food selection. Good ambience. Free valet was a bonus.
Our server was very pleasant and attentive. Offered your delicious house donuts to celebrate our anniversary. Outstanding and we will be back.
Red used to be my favorite restaurant until I dined there for my birthday. The experience was utterly disappointing. My $50+ rib eye had some horrible-tasting seasoning on it--one should not put seasoning on a quality (or any) steak. The mac-n-cheese was so full of pepper that it should have been called mac-n-pepper, just terrible. The Brussel sprouts and drinks were very good, and so was Morgan. She was attentive and a delight. I'm wondering if Red's downtown location has the same poorly prepared food . . .
Great food with the most awesome server. June, you're the best!
First time at this location and we were not disappointed. Our server was Chase and he was FABULOUS... when I asked if I could get sautéed mushrooms and he said “let me talk to the chef and I think I can hook you up “ his tip jumped way up there ! Food delicious, ambiance excellent... and Chase rounded out our fabulous experience ❤️
Ps: and we do not personally know him 😊
Wanted somewhere new for my husband’s birthday and this was perfect. We were seated on time, very well taken care of by all staff members, especially our sever Chase! Our meal was perfectly made, great temperature and the perfect amount for us. Chase surprised us with a complimentary dessert for my husband and it was delicious! Who knew “donuts” from a steakhouse could be SO delicious?! We will certainly return!!
Great service and food, went for sweetest day, we enjoyed everything. Had my husband check the brand of wine they served us.
I have been to Red downtown several times and have always had a great experience. I was expecting to have the same type of experience here as well. Unfortunately, I did not.
The food was just ok as my lobster tail was a bit over cooked. I also had to ask for bread to be brought to the table, as I never had to do the same downtown. The service was also super slow. In my opinion the sever did not stop by the table enough. When our dinner was brought to the table, I was almost completely out of wine. I had wanted to order another glass of wine for several minutes at this point. I had to then wait until the sever stopped by to see how our meal was before I could order my second glass of wine.
For paying over $200 with tip for our meal, I was rather disappointed with my experience.
We went there for my husband’s birthday and were very impressed. The food was delicious but the service is what really put it over the top!
Amazing!! We go for our anniversary every year!!!
We had wonderful service and the food was quite tasty but overall I give the restaurant a so so rating and it would be a very poor rating for anyone with dietary issues. I had a heart attack a while back and I’m on a lower sodium diet. I picked Red as a place to celebrate something special for my son. He of course got a steak as did my wife and they loved them. I selected the salmon and tried to make a few adjustments in the sides to get healthier options. I was told that everything was pre prepared and that they were unable to make modifications. We were stunned. I might have expected that response from a lower end chain restaurant but not from a place like Red. The food was good but we won’t be back soon since they were so inflexible and because of the lack of health alternatives.
More of a modern steakhouse. Vegetables sides not overcooked or over seasoned. Everything was nicely prepared.
