Red Lobster - Raleigh
Overall lousy meal, restaurant was quite busy and the kitchen was overwhelmed. Our food was thrown together, many parts were missing, and the taste was poor. A night of fast food would have been better.
Food was good! Server was great. Awesome Job Megan!!!
Great atmosphere, good was served timely, it was hot and as ordered. Mostly the food was good, but the broccoli was not cooked as well as I asked for. I also would prefer that vegan or vegetarian options would be available for those who order that in my party.
Don’t even bother making a reservation- they don’t pay any attention to the open table reservations. We were added to the waitlist just like everyone else.
I booked an open table time for 7 PM, we were told it would only be about a 30 minute wait (and in the food service industry they tend to quote you a time with a 15 minute buffer), but we were not seated until 10 past 8 PM. I understand it's busy and a popular night to eat out; however, if that's the case, the restaurant should not allow bookings from OpenTable if they don't have the availability, and they definitely should not be quoting seat times that they know they cannot fulfill. I was more than ready to leave, but my companion argued that we had already waited this long (about 45 minutes into our wait). Once we were seated, our waitress was very nice but very pushy, and I felt like we were trying to be rushed out the door from the moment we sat down.
I put in our reservation that it was for two of our boys birthdays. But nobody mentioned the birthdays and the service was not great. I ended up having to send my mail back and waited over 30 minutes for a lemon and never got better for my sons lobster. They did their best to remedy this situation but it was really just Disappointing
Started out great besides not having anything diet (Diet Coke was out) to drink bc I can’t have sugar so I drank water which I really don’t like but it was ok. Bisque was good, salad was very good. Then out came the dried salmon cooked way too long and very burnt on the bottom and the smallest piece ever. But then I looked over at my husbands steak (if that’s what you want to call this 2oz thing on his plate) He said.. they really need smaller plates. I don’t cook with a lot of seasonings so when my husband said it was so bland he couldn’t even eat it you know it was bad! He asked the waitress who responded with “no it’s not home cooked and they put nothing on it not even salt and pepper! Well ok. Seeing we still got charged full price we brought it home for the dog. We still had the great rolls to fill up on. Then she charged us for the Diet Coke that was nonexistent. We never eat here so I was disappointed- I was really hoping for a nice meal out with no kids.
The only issue I had was that I was placed beside a table with a couple of babies and little kids but there were other tables open. I was with my parents and they didn’t want to make a fuss so I sat at the table. We could have and should have been placed at a table away from all the noise and kids. Other than that the food was great and staff very friendly
Incredible service. Our waiter was outstanding and told us about maine lobster and all the different dishes. We usually go to fancier restaurants but the food was not disappointing! Everything was wonderful and we enjoyed our evening so much.
Made the reservation for 630. Arrived at 620 and was not seated until 7.
We were blown away by the quality of service and the food we had here. My wife likes her steak well done, and it was perfectly cooked and very juicy. I had the lobster feast and it excellent. We were very impressed with the quality of the food coming from the kitchen. Our server was great, and I’d definitely recommend this location. Our service and food here was comparable to Ruth’s Chris or Angus Barn.
Derek provided an excellent service; food arrived in a timely manner and tasted great! My friends and I will definitely come back.
My wife is a big fan of Lobster Fest. What better way to celebrate her birthday than the lobster lovers dream 😍. She had a great time and having been in stroke recovery for over 15 months was very happy for such wonderful attention. Now our friends want to return with us for a repeat when they return from a six week trip to Florida.(Also Lobster Fans)
We obtained priority seating through Open Table and the table was available when we arrived. Service was excellent. Food was very good. we both had the lobster tail and shrimp combo. Lobster tails were on the small side, probably rock lobster, not Maine lobster and a little overcooked, but tasty. Ambiance and noise level was what you would expect for Red Lobster. We will go again when we need lobster.
This was my first time at a Red Lobster so I did not know what to expect. It would not have been my first choice, but my guests wanted to go. The place was busy and lively, the food OK, and the service on par with large, busy chains. Toward the end of a busy day the place was messy, with food on the floor. The menu is confusing with pages of seafood combinations or you can create your own, as I did (shrimp, scallops and flounder, all grilled simply.) The food came was served haphazardly with some salads not arriving until others' mains arrived. I will probably not go back unless someone insists.
