Red Lobster - Honolulu
Family restaurant, not very romantic. Good food though!
The restaurant was cold and understaffed. Mediocre experience.
The food was not up to par considering the location, server was outstanding.
I've always loved red lobster but my past few experiences have been HORRIBLE! If you could give negative stars they'd have -3 stars! The waiter was very good but the cook staff needs to be redone and reevaluated because the food quality was horrible. Our daughters chicken was still RAW in the middle and the Mac and cheese our other daughter ordered was crispy way over cooked! The only thing cooked decently was they're seafood because seafood you really can't mess up. We are never eating here again! It's very safe saying goodbye to my once favorite seafood joint but I will not feed my kids crappy food!
so good, I'll go back !! Adress is good.
We ordered a plate with a cream pasta and 2 grilled half robster tails (original and butter). Also, we had a plate of ‘wood shrimp’.
I heard the cook here is little bit salty, so I requested to be less salt. The first dish was good taste, but another one was not good. The shrimp was dry and rice under the shrimp was not sticky and it was like vietnam rices. And it has no taste it need seasoning or something.
Lastly, service was good but when I checked the bill, the tip was already checked on ‘20% (highest option in this restaurant). It makes me uncomfortable, burdened and annoyed. I’ve never had those kinds of situation and service, so it was not so good experience to me.
This was my first time using open table and it met my expectations.
Our dinner was good except for the crab legs. They were really dry.
Hostess didn’t know what Open Table was when I arrived so Open Table said I never showed up?
Horrible, Horrible, Horrible! Do not go here it’s not very family friendly, service was horrible we were waiting on appetizer the didn’t come for almost an hour, had to put it in again still didn’t come. On top of that Manager didn’t bother to come over and so sorry offer us a explanation on what happened, or anything! Also we experienced some favoritism with the locals or islanders ( Hawaiian natives ) there, it seems as if you were from the the island, your service would be outstanding, as we saw with our own eyes, As we waited and another race which wasn’t Hawaiian native also, it took forever for our food to come as we had been there way before, but still was served in an untimely manner. It sucks especially when you have a 2 year old and an 8 year old. Red Lobster in Waikiki do better! You should be ashamed taking people’s money and treating them the way you do. Totally was uncomfortable and ready to leave immediately! Especially being active duty in the military, you’ll think it would be better hospitality, avoid this place go some place else where you would be more appreciated spending your money.
It was a bit cold in the restaurant but lucky I had a wrap in the car. The food and service was great!
Family date night with our 10 month old
Server was attentive and food was average! Great experience!
Mother Daughter Time. Everything was perfect. The food is always amazing and very filling.
Our waiter was excellent!
Average food. Build your feast is on so the restaurant is busy. Of course they were short servers so the waits for table and food were very long. For the price, the meal was very disappointing. Next time i will pay a bit more and go to a steakhouse or other restaurant.
Good family experience
Everything was perfect. If I lived there, Red Lobster would be a monthly treat 😍
This is the second time we have used Open Table at Red Lobster Honolulu. I’m not quite sure why they are on Open Table because it Is Not a Reservation! It is supposed to be Priority Seating, but if it’s busy, it isn’t any faster than waiting in line because they forget about you.
This time we got there early so we got seated pretty quick before the crowd got there. But for some reason there was an issue with Open Table saying we didn’t show up for our so called Reservation. We did, but that was an extra thing I had to do to prove we did show up for our Reservation. Ridiculous! Not very organized. Nor did their machine work to send me a copy of the supper receipt.
In closing we finally got our points for Open Table, but, I’m not sure I will use the Priority seating or so called Non Reservation system through Open Table, it isn’t worth the hassle, just because the restaurant staff is not organized enough to use Open Table.
Enjoyed Seafood Feast and great service from Melanie
Sold out of a lot of food and looks like no one paid any attention to my note that it was my wife’s birthday. Reheated chicken for the tacos was disgusting. How can a piece of chicken be both hot and cold? Rarely saw our waitress and never expected a refill on our drinks. Everything was so slow.
Always good food, good price, worth every penny.
I made a reservation at the open table a day ago, but there is no reservation. I waited for about 40 minutes. No instructions for side and salad were given when ordering main menu.
Server was knowledgeable and very friendly, the only gripe was ordering the all you can eat shrimp and then when we were asked if we were ready for more each plate took 15-20 mins to come out, a long time when everyone else has finished eating...
I only waited 5 minutes even though it was supposed to be over an hour wait but I used OpenTable to put my name on the wait list ahead of time. So that went great. Things went downhill when the waiter got my order wrong.
Server was attentive and very personable. Ordered the ultimate trio. It was delicious.
I wanted ti eat at Red Lobster for my Birthday. I loved the food. Service is amazing.
National chain restaurant that was ok. But dont expect the best seafood you have ever had especially when you live in Hawaii. Maybe we should have stuck with the more traditional items like steamed crab and traditional shrimp dishes? Because in Hawaii we can get make that ourselves. We had some leftover gift cards to use and was in the area for a conference so we thought we would take the opportunity to use them up. We ordered the langostino artichoke dip and stuffed mushrooms to start, both were ok. Dip was a bit salty with small pieces of langostino scattered on top of a creamy dip and the mushrooms were topped with a bready filling that we didn't care for - it was too much like Thanksgiving stuffing than a seafood filling. Our entrees were the shrimp tacos and fish and chips which were ok as well. Pricing was ok. Having said this about the food, we have to say that the service was awesome! Our server, Allison was friendly, efficient, and accommodating. She fulfilled some special requests and did not forget about us but she was not too intrusive. We did go fairly early so not having a reservation did not make a difference. The restaurant does not allow you to make a reservation, but through Open Table, your name is on a waitlist so you get seated asap. Luckily we ate pretty early and got immediately seated when we checked in. However, this place did get crowded. As we left there was a significant crowd waiting to be seated. A lot of tourist seem to dine here. Noticed several reviews stated 18% gratuity was automatically added. This was not done on our bill, perhaps they had a large party which is customary. In fact the bill specifically stated that tip was not included and gave suggested tip amounts which I always appreciate.
It would be better if they took reservations. I somewhat understand why they don't but this is the main negative for me. Food and service are good, but even with being on the priority waiting list we still had to wait longer than I expected. Just keep that in mind. If you don't mind waiting, everything else is good.
My wife and I had been wanting to go to Red Lobster for dinner date. I put my name on the waiting list through open table and when we showed up we didn’t have to wait long even though it was a busy night. Food and service was great
Very nice. More great than I thought.
Good food, friendly service and no wait time.
It was great
