A Nightmare at Red Lobster: Lies, Disregard, and a Wasted Evening Our recent experience at Red Lobster was, without a doubt, the worst restaurant encounter of my life. What began as an anticipated dinner with a 6:15 PM OpenTable reservation quickly devolved into a frustrating and insulting display of abysmal customer service, outright deception, and a complete disregard for our time. Upon arrival for our 6:15 PM reservation, we were left to wait. At 6:45 PM, host Todd assured us our table was "almost ready" and "being prepared." This was the first lie. We patiently waited another 30 minutes, only to be told at 7:15 PM that our only options were to take two separate tables or leave. After waiting for an hour past our reservation, this was an unacceptable proposition. I insisted on speaking with the manager, Andrew, who then proceeded to deliver the second, and arguably more egregious, lie. He claimed our reserved table was "cashed out" and they were "just waiting for them to leave." This directly contradicted Todd's earlier assurance that the table was being prepared. To add insult to injury, Andrew then casually admitted that Red Lobster reservations "mean nothing" and are "more of a waiting list" – a shocking revelation that renders their OpenTable system completely pointless and misleading. Despite the clear miscommunication, the prolonged wait, and the blatant untruths, there was never a sincere apology or any genuine attempt to resolve our situation. No offer of a discount, a complimentary appetizer, or any form of compensation for the wasted time and frustration. We were simply left to endure the ever-lengthening wait and the increasingly flimsy excuses. At 7:45 PM, an agonizing one and a half hours after our reserved we gave up and left. This was not just a long wait; it was an evening marred by dishonesty from both the host and the manager, a complete lack of accountability, why None of my party will ever got to Red Lobster again!

Our reservation was for 6:00 and we got our food at 7:10pm. It was cold and the crispy Brussels Sprouts were definitely “crispy” ….looked like they had been in the oven and burned for over 1/2 hour. It will be awhile before we go back to that location. Extremely disappointed!

Food came out over cooked and somehow lukewarm, definitely wasn’t impressed. The only good thing I can say is our server was very nice and attentive.

Overall I thought this was a good experience. The food was good, the only issue is the music was very loud which made it hard to hear the server and other people at the table. It's not super fancy but if you're looking for a solid value in seafood, you won't be disappointed.

0n the positive side, using open table priority seating took us to the front of the line so immediate seating. After that downhill....received drinks from the bar at end of meal, no lobster bisque, order was wrong, waiter seemed challenged, you could see frustration on other customers faces. We were in the bar area and I could see bartender was servicing people at the bar before taking care of waiters requests from seated customers...probably should change that protocol or have 2 bartenders.
