   Overall I was disappointed by our experience at the Red Lion. Not being offered the choice of tap water when we gave our drinks order set the tone for the evening, this was compounded when the table right next to us were given this choice when they were seated by a different server. I thought the food was overpriced considering the portion size although I have to say it was delicious and well cooked. I’m glad I tried this pub as I’ve heard good things about it but I doubt I’ll return.

   First time dining here. Will definitely go back. Food was, overall, very good. Just one or two things we would have liked done in a different way but that was our taste - nothing wrong with the food.

   Lunch was fabulous, well presented, tasty and good sized portions. Desserts were lush. Service good and friendly.

   Took relatives for a meal and you didn’t disappoint us. We all had fantastic food came out hot, the service was excellent also staff very attentive to our needs and ensuring we were all happy with everything. Relatives enjoyed it that when they visit us again they want to visit again for a meal x

   We had the Sunday roast. Never had Sunday lunch at The Red Lion but have have exceptional food in the evenings. It was very good but if I would make any criticism, it would be that the food wasn't very hot., the potatoes a bit dry. (This could have been because we at later in the day, 15.30 booking). There could have been more vegetables for 4 people. We had the same portion size as a table of 2. The horseradish sauce wasn't very nice ( too mild) at an extra £3 charge. The price I feel for 2 courses, was a little high. However despite this, I would still return but try an earlier time. The service was excellent and we have always had a positive dining experience when eating out here.

    Once again a fantastic meal, at a wonderful venue, incredible staff. The portion size was great, food tasted delicious with lots of flavours for a roast. This place never fails to deliver. Very lucky for it to be only 5 minutes away. We will be back as always.
