The Greedy Gordons Pub company welcome you to the Red Lion. Managed by Ashley Headland, he brings a strong team of consistency and knowledge.

Situated in the heart of Cranford near Kettering a village steeped in history & the pub being the mainstay since the 1700’s.

Head Chef Ben Drury brings loads of experience by bring people together with our love of great food and drink delivered with passion.

Priding ourselves on being ECO-local we have reduced our carbon footprint by using local produce, recycling & upcycling as much as possible as well as providing waste for Bio Fuel. #EcoLocalRedLion.

All welcome and catered for including dogs!

Unfortunately a terrible experience. Our table was booked at 7pm. Two of our party arrived 15 mins late and we were then told by the lady who took our order that because part of our table was late we had to wait. We were then told 3 other times the at we might not get what we want because we “were late”. This made us feel as though we were not important to them at all. We asked 3 times to order. Had to ask a few times for more drinks., To wipe the table etc…. The front of house lady was very rude to us. Perhaps she was under a lot of pressure but we will not be returning.

We’ve been meaning to come here for quite a while and always heard good reviews from friends. We were not disappointed. The service was excellent, everyone very polite and helpful, not pushy at all. The food, wow. I had the tuna and prawn skewer. Apart from looking amazing the tuna was fantastic, great flavour and so tender. The best tuna I’ve eaten, and I’ve eaten a lot of it in many parts of the world. Definitely recommend and, fortunately for us, we’re going back again later this month with friends. Lucky us 😀

Couldn’t fault it. Came for a Sunday lunch yesterday at 2pm, it’s now gone 12 the next day and I’m still full! Definitely worth booking.

Wonderful food and good size helping and it is clear if you wanted more veg etc. Had Sunday lunch, which was lovely.

The brisket burger is really lovely but may have been nicer with it as just pulled meat-as a firm patty it is not quite as nice as it would’ve been just pulled.i had it with cheddar cheese instead of Roquefort and it tasted really nice. Thanks!

A wonderful setting and great staff who were very attentive. Some of the food was good but others I my opinion very poor. Was not expecting scales and excessive oil on something as simple as fish and chips.
