The meal was very average, and the service was slow. The roast not very warm, roast potatoes not well cooked and the Yorkshire puddings were flat and there was barely any gravy. Service was slow. I had to remind them about the additional sides, didn't clean up the plates and then charge 12% service charge.

This was a return visit to the Red Lion for me after a recent enjoyable visit in the Summer. The new prawn and monkfish curry was particularly delicious, a really good amount of fish and a nice subtle heat to the sauce, great value for money! The vegan burger was also well received. The restaurant has a nice casual atmosphere, with friendly service from the staff to make for a thoroughly enjoyable time.

Lovely Sunday lunch… fantastic helpful staff. Food could have been a bit warmer and found gravy a bit thin otherwise great lunch

The Red Lion relies on the fact of it’s having a car park in Grantchester and a children’s play area for its clientele. Its Sunday roast was the worst I have ever had. Nevertheless people flock to it and no doubt it will have no reason to improve on its food. The service was good.

I arranged a family Sunday Roast for 12 of us to celebrate my partner’s birthday. We were joined by some friends after dinner. The pub were extremely accommodating. The food was excellent and the outside area was perfect for our kids to play. Highly recommended. Bravo to the team 👏🏼 Best wishes, The Reillys

Very efficient. It was a very busy and bustling Saturday lunchtime but the staff were quick, efficient and attentive. The food was brought out quickly, piping hot and absolutely delicious. 😋

My partner and I came to the Red Lion for lunch, having been before for dinner. The sandwiches served at lunch time are delicious and really good value for money. The restaurant garden is a lovely setting to enjoy the tasty food and as per my previous visit, the waiting staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I will be recommending to my friends for sure!
