It’s a neighborhood gem. So glad to try for the first time and we enjoyed the food and the service!
Surprised by how noisy this cozy restaurant was at lunch time. But excellent service and delicious food guarantees we will return!
Had a wonderful Mothers Day dinner with the family. Great comfort food and wine. Paella is always a hit. Try the Falafel Fries. A fun and different appetizer.
My most favorite place to eat in downtown Renton! It’s tucked away, so you kind of have to look for it to find it, but I’m so glad I did! It is a nice place for a sunny brunch with friends as well as a romantic location for a date; especially if you go at night when they turn on the hanging lights outside. The food is also nothing short I excellent! 10/10
Food was very good and the wait person made our evening joyful
Wonderful food, ambiance and service!
Beautiful on warm days/evenings, with a great porch/garden area. You'll enjoy it whether you sit out there or inside. This is the best south-of-Columbia-City restaurant I've been to in the Seattle area.
Nice spot to kick back and eat tapas!
We visited the Red House for the 2nd time on my husband's birthday. It was wonderful (again) and I don't know why it took us so long to go back. I am already planning my next trip. We had the mushroom bruschetta, the mussels, meatballs and a salad and were plenty full. We took our chocolate dessert home and ate it later. It was all fantastic - the flavors were creative and delicious (I can't stop thinking about the mushrooms). The service was amazing - she was friendly and knowledgable giving us good advice and checking with us often enough but not too much. The wine prices are excellent and you can get a wine probably at any price point.
Great waiter and great food!
Overall from food to our service was amazing. Our server Ellie was outstanding. We are definitely coming back.
I refer folks here regularly. Can't beat this great little spot in Renton. Always enjoyable and never disappoints.
Normally this is wonderful but this time we were a bit surprised. The bottle of beer was out of date by several YEARS, the Chipino was dry and lacked flavor and my New York steak was so tough and full of fat and gristle that I could not eat it. Salad, steak and glass of house wine was over $50.!
Excellent service, excellent food. What more can you ask for 😃
The starter plates were delicious - had the mushroom bruschetta and crab cakes. The paella was very bland and not good. I still like it overall, very cute/quaint.
One of our favorite places to go for special dates. This visit was our anniversary. Attentive friendly staff and excellent food. The small plates allow us to taste a variety of dishes.
Red House without any hesitation the best restaurant in Renton...also one of my top choices in Seattle. Food is made freshly and delicious, employees and their kindness out of this world ..I would recommend
this restaurant to anybody very highly. We always had great experience specially since the ownership change few years back. Restaurant running like a clock. Thanks ladies and gentlemen for incredible service.
We had a great time. History, Ambiance, Excellent food. The service was top notch. Highly recommend.
Excellent wine choices and delicious food! We’ll definitely be returning.
My husband and I really enjoyed this place. The wine was amazing, food was good and service was spectacular! They took really good care of us and made sure everything was perfect. They did end up running out of the only desert we wanted, but our waitress was so sweet, she brought us 2 little chocolate deserts in replace of the desert we wanted which was very nice! I would totally recommend this place for date night, girls night or any night really!
This is place that you can't beat. Good food. Great Wine selection. Great service. And if you are lucky, you might get to chat with the owners. If you are looking for an intimate setting. Probably not...but this place is terrific to bring out of town guests for good food, wine and drinks.
Good food. Good drink. Good people. A little noisy.
Great unique restaurant (its literally in what used to be a residential home) with great food, but a bit of a dated ambiance. A bit loud and it could be slightly more "cosy". But I definitely will return. the food was awesome.. I have been 3x and always tried their "special" entre and it has always been fabulous.
Mostly hits, a few misses (on dishes), but a really nice place. Great wine selection. Service is friendly but they can be understaffed. If the place is packed, it's really noisy so I recommend mid-week or Sunday evenings.
The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. Highly recommend the sambal shrimp and french rolls. The pate was delicious as well. All of the food was delicious, the only thing is that the ciopinno was a bit on the salty side. But still it was delicious.
I’ve been going to Red House for lunch for ages, but this was the first time I’d gone for dinner. There were 3 in our party who had never tried Red House; they have been converted🤗. Food is consistently excellent and the service is friendly and efficient. On occasion the noise level can be a bit annoying but that’s my only complaint (and I feel that way about the entire world, you know?)
Always consistently good food and service. Highly recommend
Great variety of delicious tapas, main meal and desserts. Interesting wine selection displayed in cabinets thru out restaurant.
Best dining ambience is in the downstairs living
room. Upstairs feels not as warm...
We didn't know we were going there on Fat Tuesday. They were busy. We were in a back room upstairs, away from most. This was good and bad, as my Gramps is hard of hearing, so it made it easier to talk to him. The bad part was that we were in the back and away from view. Out of sight, out of mind. We didn't see our server much. We had a party of 4 and everyone loved the food, except... I ordered a plate of olives to start off with; it was forgotten about. I also ordered a New York medium rare; it was overdone. Not quite shoe leather, but really dry. I mentioned it to our server and he gave us a free piece of cake. The cake was very good. The wine recommended was very good. Everything else was very good. Just not the steak. This was our 3rd or 4th time there and we will go back.
The Red House has been a favorite for the many years I've been an occasional patron. The menu is always interesting, and the kitchen turns out really great food. The wine selection is great, and well priced. I'm living out of the area now, but always look forward to returning whenever possible.
Food is reliably tasty, great wine selection!
What a find! I was looking for something that was unique, with a great wine list and good food, and wow, we certainly found our new favorite place. Adorable rooms, with wines displayed from all over the world. The food was wonderful. Great tapas, great lunch and excellent wines. Love the staff!
Lovely surprise. Will be back. We had been there for dinner but never brunch.
Good Renton place . Good wine . Expensive food but the serving people are great .
Friendly staff and the food was amazing!!! 👌 My only complaint was that we were by two dinner parties upstairs so it got pretty loud but besides that everything was great 😊 We will definitely go again
Love this place
We haven't been to the Red House in over 6 months. We had taken it off our list as a go to place as the quality of food had diminished. We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food this visit. It was excellent -- plus great value. Also, a wonderful variety of choices. It is definitely back on our "go to" place!
Busy night. Water glass never refilled. Need more wait people.
This place has an awesome wine list, great food and a rustic atmosphere.
