This is my favorite restaurant- staff and food are always fantastic. The house converted into a restaurant setting is intimate and fun. This place is especially amazing during the summer- the outdoor patio is perfect for a date or a rosé with friends!

Red House is a cozy comfortable place to have a great meal and share with friends. It is located in the heart of Downtown Renton, close to galleries, antique shops and the central Piazza. A perfect place to celebrate one's birthday, as I did this past week with five friends. As we approach spring and summer, there is an outdoor deck for relaxed dining

Food and service is always exceptional at the Red House. Love the private areas to be seated. The Sunday brunch menu has many choices from the regular menu too. The Tapas are exceptional! A must is the Baked Bucheron and Falafel Fries!

We've been coming to the Red House for many years, and looked forward to our recent visit. We were greeted very well, but with limited seating we were ushered to the second floor which was empty and cold. Our waiter was quick to greet us, very energetic, and polite. He suggested a red wine which we didn't care for, so we selected a different wine. He was very accommodating when we sent the wine back.

The appetizers were wonderful, we had the crab cakes and beet salad. We then ordered the Mac & Cheese and NY Steak. The Mac & Cheese recipe had changed, and wasn't cheesy at all. We expected like a Beechers style Mac & Cheese. This was thin, creamy and had a plastic taste with fake smoke flavor. We were told this was smoked Gouda, but we've had smoked Gouda before, and this was terrible. Our waiter was quick to help us substitute the Mac & Cheese for the Gnoche. We were warned that this had an herbal flavor, but didn't realize that meant an overpowering amount a Sage where that's all you could taste for several minutes afterwards. It was also extremely salty, so this was inedible as well. The waiter was great to just take this off of our bill all together.

Next, the floor manager approached our table, although he didn't introduce himself or say hello. He asked what our issue was with the food which stunned us. He made it sound like it was our issue, and not how it was prepared. He kept asking us "is it just not to your liking?" He then asked if there was anything he could do to make us happy? After some time, we gave in and said, "sure", we'll have cheese cake to go please. The cheesecake arrived, and we paid the bill not realizing until just before we left that they'd charged us for the cheesecake.

Overall impression is that this restaurant has good service, but the kitchen staff and food consistency needs work. The floor manager should be retrained to have better customer skills.

We won't be back anytime soon.

Red House are usual go to in Renton. The food and service has always been consistent. Whenever we’re in the mood for a very good food but not wanting to go to Seattle, we go to Red house. They have a great selection of tapas big entrées and wines and the prices are pretty reasonable.

I've been celebrating special occasions and meet-ups with friends at Red House for years. We never get tired of it. The menu is eclectic and the food is beautifully prepared. Service is always attentive without being overbearing. Plus you can buy a great bottle of wine to take home. Note--the lunchtime crowd gets a quiet reading; the couple times I've been here for dinner, the noise level precludes any meaningful conversation!

Excellent food and service was personal and fun. Waiter took time with us. Once the noisy table left, our evening was perfect. It’s hard in close quarter when there is one loud person. We loved our evening out with friends.

This was one of our "Small business Saturday" destinations... a super great restaurant in downtown Renton. Very cozy and romantic. They sell beer and wine to go and have a huge selection available. the menu is great.. lots of Tapas/appetizers and great entrees. Our lasagna was xcellent, paella pretty good. We loved our Morrocan Mussells, artisan cheeses, lamb meatballs and other tapas we ordered. Service by Ceasar was excellent. Love this place.

My wife and I have eaten here 3-4 times, and generally been quite pleased with the food and service, although the food quality can vary. On our last visit two days ago, we began dinner with a cheese platter while we started our bottle of wine, and it was very good. Red House has a very good selection of wines from around the world, so serious oenophiles can surely find something to please. Our choice was a Rex Hill pinot noir ($50) which went very well with our dinners. For dinner, we both ordered the bone-in pork tenderloin with grilled green beans; my wife was quite pleased with her dinner, but my serving of meat was overdone and rather tough, and the beans were underdone to the point of being crunchy. We shared a slice of chocolate torte cake which proved to be a good finish to the meal.

My friend and I each drove 30 minutes out of our way to get to this location. I knew that we would have excellent food, excellent service, a great bottle of wine, and the chance to sit in an environment that was cozy and not too loud. I hoped that the server would lettuce chat and not rush out and that's exactly the service that we got. It was the best food, the best wine and the best night I've had in a long time.

Menu creative and fresh. Menu has main dishes and shared plates to meet all guests.

Would like to see bread served and not a cost.

I am not certain if it was a problem with the Open Table system or that the Red House fumbled my reservation. I made a reservation first thing in the morning for six people at seven o'clock that evening. About six o'clock I call the Red House to make certain everything was good and found out that the Red House didn't have any reservation for me at anytime that night. I re-checked my confirmation from Open Table and everything looked legitimate. The gentleman who answered the phone at the Red House said that we shouldn't have a problem getting a table at seven o'clock and we didn't have any problems.

We had a great meal but it did concern me that somewhere the process didn't work.

The food was excellent, and the ambiance was perfect for the group of four. They have an extensive wine selection located throughout the walk of the restaurant. The one big disappointment was that our waiter Ceasar was very attentive to the table when we ordered appetizers and wine, but after that we never say him hardly. We had to track down other waiters to take care of us.
We would still give it a try again..
