Red Feather Lounge
We had a great experience on the patio watching people walk through the car show. The complimentary scones were a delicious start. The Beignets & Butterscotch are a must. Wonderfully sweet and were served warm. My wife enjoyed the Fried Chicken in a Biscuit and I had the special Corned Beef Hash. It was perfect with an egg on top. Red Feather will be one of our favorites for Sunday brunch this summer. Even with all the people downtown, we easily found space in an adjacent parking garage for $3.
Red Feather has consistently high quality food, prepared deliciously. Ingredients are sourced from local organic farms. It's been a favorite restaurant of mine for years.
Eaten here a few times and have never been disappointed.
Stylish and delicious. Bodi, our server, was the soul of solicitude.
Went for brunch on my birthday and had a wonderful time. The staff made it extra special and the food was phenomenal and reasonably priced. Will definitely be going back soon!
Set upstairs with friends for a celebratory brunch. A little bit claustrophobic almost like country cabin-ish. But cozy not bad. Service was very good and the menu selection was outstanding. As everyone says you must try the oatmeal soufflé! Mimosas by the carafe!
Consistently good for many years. I really appreciate that the food the serve is as local and sustainable as possible, which lends a fresh and healthy option. Very extensive and creative drink list and also serving a lot of great wines and beers, which many of those too are local. Red Feather is a must for anyone visitng Boise to get a flavor of our local foods and drink!
Food was okay, but in my 30 or so years of drinking martini’s across the United States and several foreign countries, I can announce that the Red Feather sells the world’s smallest martini. I wouldn’t order any mixed drink here, it has to be all mixer. I ordered a martini on the rocks and at first I thought they brought me an empty glass of ice, or that the server had an accident on the way to the table. At $10.50, this has to be their highest profit item.
Loved my trout. All three of us enjoyed our meals.
I've never had a bad experience at red feather. This was a special occasion and the server was absolutely horrible. I don't think I've ever had such bad service before. I understand when its busy and people get overwhelmed but it was super slow, and the server only had a few tables. He only checked on us twice; when we ordered our food and when we were ready for our check. Didn't even ask how the food was (my order was incorrect), if we needed more drinks or water cause our glasses were empty, and we usually have one glass of champagne after a cocktail to celebrate, but that didn't happen :( . We tried to politely get his attention while he walked by us several times but we were completely ignored. We were pretty disappointed that we ended up going across the street to Eureka for our celebratory drink but I'm hoping this was an isolated incident because we love the red feather.
Great locally sourced produce and food is always great
This has been one of my favorite places to discover after moving here. Love treating ourselves to the cocktails and food!
Bodie & Clint are exceptional people and are emulate exactly what service standards should be like everywhere.
The crew at Red Feather rock. They have found a groove that keeps everyone happy, interested, and satisfied beyond question. I brought a fellow foodie and his FB posts gathered great attention from the rosemary marrow burger to the tempura cauliflower. My roasted tomato basil soup and masa halibut tacos wanted for no attention to detail. I have been here maybe 25 times in the 17 years they have been open...which is pretty good considering I have only lived in Boise for 6 months. Psst, I have visited here to see family often. Cheers all around and keep up the great stuff!!!
Such a great restaurant! One of my favorites in Boise.
We haven’t been to Red Feather in a year or so and were sad to see such a basic and lacking menu. We were expecting the more fine dining restaurant it use to be. $260 without tip seemed a little high for what we ordered. If you are looking for a sit down nice meal this may not be your place. If you want a loud trendy place with “small plates” and a restaurant with too tight of tables I guess it’s your #1.
We sat upstairs. Our food was very good, appropriate portion size, and friendly staff.
The location and ambience was great. The food however was just okay. We had Mother’s Day brunch. 6 of us. Nothing memorable. No one had anything they loved. Probably would not go back.
Made reservation way in advance were not told table was in cellar which was a inconvience our mom has leg issues for stairs.
The hostess was nice and seated us outside. The barking dog tied directly behind us was annoying but that was not Red Feathers fault.
The waiter forgot us and other people seated after us received service which was okay as we were not in a hurry but once we got new service, the waiter still filled other table’s coffee but not ours. I had to request a refill. I had the classic Benedict and the hollandaise sauce tasted a bit lemony and the food was barely warm.
I will return but not for awhile. We will try other places for brunch.
Bodie is one of the best servers I’ve ever had.
Only downside was that it was a warm day outside and it was even hotter upstairs. We were sweating and waiters were visually sweating from the heat. The food and the wait staff were excellent as always!
My mom was in town and we thought the best representation of Boise dining would be Red Feather and they did not disappoint!
Everything was excellent!
We love this place and it was awesome as always!
Jen & Ben C
Beautiful presentation and excellent food !
Our waiter were very attentive, place was modern. Would definitely eat there again!
Red Feather Lounge remains a favorite dining spot for my lady and I. Food is top notch, lots of it locally sourced. Menu is designed so you can share many of the dishes and sample more of the fare, great for date night or an evening out with friends.
Food was terrific and our server was very nice. When I go again I think the only thing I would change would be to go on a week night. Saturday was very busy and the place was bustling.
We celebrated our anniversary here and absolutely loved it. The service was very good and the food even better.
Love the brunch and the mimosas and Bloody Mary’s are delicious. Fun downtown location. Great atmosphere.
The Red Feather is one of our favorite nightlife dinner and drinks places to go. It has the best drinks in town!
Professional, friendly, attentive service with a smile. Made us feel right at home!
Creatively done dishes. Great service. And at a good value. A combination that can be hard to find in Boise. Remember it’s a bar with dining. Not a restaurant with a bar, so reserve a table upstairs for a quiet experience. One of our favorites in Boise.
wow, we love this place. The locally sourced foods are a wonderful part of their offering.
I generally do not write reviews, but I do want to comment on our server and his outstanding service.
I believe his name is Bubby. He was helpful, attentive and extremely charming with a wonderful sense of humor. He made our visit to the Red Feather very enjoyable.
The menu is limited, I would recommend checking the menu online before making a reservation. The food was good and the birthday dessert was amazing!
Great food and great service!
Won a Verizon Up dinner and we were very impressed. Food was very different from what we usually order and we were both surprised at how good everything was! We will definitely be back!
Drinks and food were wonderful our service was even better. Our server was lively and had great recommendations for us. Only complaint was the upstairs seating was very warm .
Music was very loud, and in a small space. For a more intimate/relaxing experience, it would be nice to have lower, softer music
The staff was great and the food outstanding. The price was very reasonable and we will definitely be back.
My husband and I had our first date here and by chance have been sat at the same table every time we’ve come. For our 3rd wedding anniversary I wanted to recreate our first date with Red Feather and then a movie at the Flicks. I called a few days in advance, reserved the table we sat at and conveyed how special and important it was to have that specific table. She wrote down next to it, do not move!!!! When we arrived we were told the table had just cleared and it would be a couple minutes to get it cleaned and reset. We waited several minutes. Nobody came to get us. We asked how much longer it would be and a different person said that they were actually still at the table and just lingering around. I said I’d wait longer because it was so important to have that table. Another few minutes go by and they come back and say actually they just got their appetizers. We were sat at the tiniest little table with no privacy. Service was great and drinks and food were good. Totally ruined my romantic gesture. Why give the option to reserve a table if the restaurant just gives it to somebody else. They also didn’t give us menus after we’d been waiting for a good while already so my husband had to go to the bar for some. The server didn’t get our order until I grabbed her attention as she was rushing past. Lots of waiting, reserved table not held, called with plenty of time to plan for that table that had not been reserved by anybody yet. Lame. They comped our appetizer and a couple drinks but it took the romance out of the night.
