100 times over the best steak I’ve had in Texas!! Would absolutely recommend such a great experience every time we go there! Thank you
Fantastic meal. Amazing pasta. One of the best steaks I have ever had.
We had an excellent Easter dinner, everyone was happy with their meal. And the service was great.
Awesome spot with excellent food and drinks. Pastas all made in house. Spot for Foodies.
I never write reviews, but the food was pricey for average Italian food and our server was terrible. I was really disappointed.
Absolutely one of the best meals I've ever had in ATX, and the service rivaled any high end East coast restaurant.
Food was all great. I had visitors from California in town and every single one of them loved this restaurant. Flavors were great, and portions were fair.
One of the best restaurants in Austin! This place is fantastic and brings great quality to the table.
Phenomenal food!! Can’t wait to go back!
Favorite restaurant in Austin! Food is amazing!
It was extremely loud, and the service suffered as a result. The wine list was good, but many of the wines were too young to drink and no decanting or aerating was offered. Wine prices were also quite high given the age of the wines.
Food, however, was fantastic.
Food is always great - service is super professional. Great ambience. Very popular as evidenced by the consistent crowds and the necessity to book in advance.
Everything was great. The only suggestion I have is the staff is a little intense when it came to pouring the water.
Food was so good. We started with the bread and roasted tomatoes with burrata. Shared a salad and then shared a pasta and a short rib special. The bill was over $100 for three of us, (and we didn’t have any alcoholic drinks which would have probably pushed it closer to $200) so it’s not a place we’d eat every week. But for a special occasion, it’s a wonderful choice.
Our server, James was excellent and the food was fantastic. The only change I would make would be to suggest they pace the small plates - not bring them all out at once.
Absolutely my favorite restaurant. We live in n Dallas and hands down I would pick Red Ash for my last meal.
Good food and great place. The dessert was a desastre, they made my chocolate lava cake 4 times and the 5th time they brought it on a container so it wouldn’t come apart. Not good
Everything about this spot is fantastic, the steaks are high quality and well prepared. The pasta is on point and the wine selection is great as well.
Great food and service! Loved the recommendations from the server. The manager came by our table twice to make sure everything was perfect.
Some food items were great—‘the Bruschetta, Osso Bucco, Polenta. The risotto that was served with the Osso Bucco was terrible. (The rice was bland and the texture was off). Also the server was a bit sarcastic. When we said one of the people in our party was gluten intolerant he’s asked if she will die. Completely in appropriate! And his wine knowledge was ok but he only recommend expensive wines. I would go back for the bruschetta and Osso Bucco but with so many amazing restaurants in Austin it probably won’t be anytime soon ....
Pasta special and bolognese were awesome. Pollo diavolo was the standout hit at our table, though. Great wine list. Slightly smoky smell all around the restaurant because of the wood oven, so some people may be sensitive to the smell.
I think red ash is the best restaurant in Austin
Good food and service. Will definitely go back.
Simply the best!!
Arrived and was seated right away. However Took a while before we even got water. Somewhere around 15 minutes. Was told waiter was opening a bottle of wine which was odd for that to delay everything else. Place was busy and maybe understaffed. But all in all it was a pretty good meal. Carpaccio was outta this world good but the dry aged porterhouse and pasta dishes were all 2.5 outta 5 if made to grade. Nothing made me feel like I really had to get back for another round.
The best Italian restaurant in Austin. You have to go back many times to try everything because it’s all so good!
Delicious! Great waiter too!
Great dinner as always at Red Ash
Great date night or special occasion, or no occasion, restaurant. I thought the wine list had a lot of reasonably priced options. The food was awesome. We will definitely be going back!
Outstanding food, great bar, usually excellent service. If you are only 2 people sit towards the left end of the chef's bar.
The hospitality and food at Red Ash is second to none it Austin. One of the best meals I've had.
Amazing / absolutely loved it. Great wait staff
Vongole pasta was so salty and dry and the clams smelled fishy. It was not worth paying $28 (plus tax) for the pasta. Gnocchi pasta was OK, but not impressive as well for its price ($26).
Food was fantastic. Server Stephanie was wonderful!
Very overpriced for homemade pasta and very small portions. This is the hottest restaurant to get into in Austin but I felt it did not live up to the hype. The homemade spaghetti and desserts were the best part.
Amazing spaghetti and meatballs! I would order again.
Amazing food more authentic than anywhere I have been in Austin. Great value for what you get.
It is a very nice place, but avoid during SXSW, people in flip flops and shorts looking for a party are allowed entrance to eat.
