This is my favorite restaurant in Austin. The service is a 10 and the food variety is wide - anything you order is incredible.
We celebrated a family birthday and it was a fabulous night! The best service from Jake and the entire staff and the food was amazing!
Smells delicious Italian as you enter the door - garlic, tomatoes, spices. Our favorite Italian in Austin; we are originally from the NY/NJ area where Homemade Italian food is great and readily available. All the pasta is house-made and you can taste it. This is traditional Italian with a modern twist. The staff is knowledgeable and efficient. We love the 1/2 plate option, available on most pasta dishes, which allows for more tastes. We shared the meatballs, the ravioli, the spaghetti, and the gnocchi. Each was flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The ravioli is a fav of mine because it’s a veal mix not standard 3 cheese. As it is an open floor plan with the bar in the middle, most nights it is loud but you can still hear your table mates. This visit we were seated at a table, which is nice, but I actually prefer sitting at the prep bar where you can watch the chefs prepare the food.
It was my 3rd trip to Red Ash on a business trip to Austin. Great experience overall with excellent service as usual!
Lovely service, amazing food (as always), great experience!
Anniversary Dinner, Zac our waiter killed it with his service and recommendations!
We love Red Ash and rate it the # 1 restaurant in Austin!
This is not the first time I’ve dined at Red Ash. This trip made me realize this place is kind of overhyped. Don’t get me wrong, the food is good...I mean, real good. The steaks are insanely good. The only thing I’m not getting now is the price point coupled with the long wait for reservations. There are so many other restaurants in Austin that meet or exceed this level of dining, likely by waking in, and certainly easier on the pocketbook. Do it once, do it twice, just to say you’ve done it...
Love this place. The bread is to die for.
Had to wait two months but it was worth it.
We love Red Ash ! I accidentally showed up 30 minutes past my reservation and the manager was so kind. He said he would figure it out and have a table for us soon. They were so generous. The service is always great and the wait staff are trained and knowledgeable about the wine and food. We always bring our our of town guests here as it’s a guaranteed great dining experience. Thank you Red Ash.
Great place for food and fun. Would recommend and they have a good variety
It was absolutely fantastic.
Amazing food experience
Amazing as always!
Fantastic food! Highly recommend this restaurant if you like Italian food.
Always a great night out, meal, service, atmosphere, everything. Awesome place.
Food was amazing! Brandy was the best waitress! We loved it!
First visit after friends had recommended Red Ash for a great meal. Did not disappoint. Jonny was a great sever. Assisted with wine and the dinner selections. A fabulous dining experience. Can’t wait to return.
Was a great experience as always. Food is always amazing and the service is top notch as well.
Birthday, they were excellent
Third visit to Red Ash and the quality of food, presentation and service are pretty much perfect.
Service was amazing. Food was absolutely delicious. We had the Frutti di Mare, Gnocchi, Italian Bread and salmon which was cooked to perfection. Finally, you have to save room for the chocolate cake. It's THE reason we come to Red Ash regularly.
Great service. Great food and beverages. This restaurant is still the best that Austin has to offer.
NY Eve Dinner. Everything was perfect as always. We love this restaurant!
Best meal we have had in a long long time! We live downtown and venture out often, but this was the most incredible meal!! five stars!!
Thomas was simply the best server/host we’ve had in a long time.
Very happy with our experience. Joshua our server was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Food was outstanding.
The people were so nice and we had 2 tables an hour apart
And they accommodated us with great recommendations and warmth. Thank you Red Ash! ❤️
One of Austin’s best Restaurants.Great Service and the food is awesome.Small plates such as Meatballs.Dry Aged Steak Bruschetta.Bone Marrow...Octopus..Carpacchio..and Red Snapper were all outstanding.Main Courses of Dry Aged Filet and Veal Ravioli we’re stellar as well.Very difficult to get a table at as I made my reservation a few months in advance so plan accordingly.I saw several groups try to come in without reservations and they were turned away. Its definitely worth the effort to come here
From the food to the service— this place is 5 star
The garlic bread is a definite must
Get it as your appetizer & you won’t be sorry
The quality of all food & beverages is just amazing
We had been trying to get into Red Ash for quite some time without success. I booked a reservation about four months in advance. Man, was it ever worth the wait. You can smell the food about a block away. It's a quaint, charming restaurant. The waitstaff was terrific. And then there is the food. I'm sure I had a Cheshire Cat grin on my face when we left. The food is outstanding. We started with some clams in garlic and some kind of bread crumbs, similar to a Rockefeller topping. The bread they brought us was also delicious, kind of like the Italian bread you get in New York, crispy outside and soft inside. My wife got a Caesar salad, thinking it was just a simple side salad, but it was huge and the both of us didn't finish it. My wife got the potato gnocchi in some kind of cream sauce while I got the osso buco, a large, tender veal shank that was so flavorful it was almost orgasmic. The meat just fell off the bone and melted in my mouth. I jokingly told our waitress that if I wasn't married I would've married the chef - which got my wife to look at me funny. Seriously though, this was one of the finest dining experiences we've ever had - and we're foodies. I can't recommend this place enough.
The server was incredibly kind and knowledgeable about the menu. Fantastic suggestions. My fiance and I ended up ordering three different pasta dishes (which come in small and large) and sharing from each. It was amazing. The appetizer was also pretty incredible. Importantly for my fiance and I was the plethora of options for those who do not drink alcohol. She is currently pregnant, and the bartender was more than willing to come up with some creative suggestions for a mocktail. They also carry a pretty good non-alcoholic beer (for me). With respect to the food, the pasta dishes were AMAZING! The pasta is made in house, tasted amazing, and was not overly filling. The seasoning was spot on and the bread was very garlicky (in my world that translates to delicious). For what you get, the price is also reasonable. Will be going back on a date night.
Wonderful service, food & ambiance! Could eat here every week! Our Favorite place in Austin
The food and service were exceptional.
The small dishes were fun to share and taste: octopus, clams, burrata, and you should get bread to share. Risotto in the osso buco was salty and did not complement the veal. Frutti di mare, gnocchi in Gorgonzola and tiramisu were great.
The food quality was top-notch. I recommend the bone marrow risotto. The service was prompt and attentive.
We use this as our secondary kitchen!
The people there are so nice, accommodating, and understand that the bar is a popular space...so they really try to help you enjoy your time as you are waiting for a seat!!!
I absolutely love the La Dolce Vita Cocktails!!!
Thomas was the best server I have ever had. The truffle pasta special was something I will dream about. Please put it in the menu permanently. Fantastic experience!!
