We enjoyed this restaurant. The ambiance was great for a date night / birthday. We had (and would recommend) the octopus a la plancha, garlic bread, and gnocchi. We also ordered one of the shared steak cuts. However, we were a bit disappointed with it. For starters we said we weren't too hungry and our server pushed us away from a single portion to a shared (much larger cut), and it was cooked well past medium. Not a complete deal killer. We'll go back but we'll stick to the apps and pastas.

Great food - but the menu is pretty traditional. Service was excellent with several different people doing different things. Cocktails were great and a good wine list.

Excellent as always! The 50 day aged filet is a must. Snapper Crudo is a great light start.

The food was absolutely amazing! Tables are a bit close together in some areas, but it is a beautiful space. There was an extremely loud/rowdy party next to us, but the management was very proactive and professional in helping to resolve it. We will definitely be back!

Always enjoyable at Red Ash! We celebrated our anniversary and the entire staff signed a card for us, a very nice gesture. The food was great as always. We ordered the agnolotti for a pasta dish, and the wood roasted tomatoes with burrata. The bread is amazing, simply put! Great wine and negroni slushie.

Pricey, very difficult to get a reservation because it's not a super large place. Delicious, authentic homemade pastas. Great wine list, a hand signed birthday card from the entire staff and oh my gosh that bread!!! I will definitely return!

We had a great experience. Our server Zack was always there when we needed him and explained the food and its preparation very well. Everything we ordered was delicious, and I found it a good value for the quality and quantity we were presented with. Will definitely be back.

Fabuloso as ALWAYS!!! The cocktails are great and the wine too. Bread bread bread...a MUST have! I had the Snapper and asked for the white and black pasta added and they graciously added for a mere $5. It was really yummy! Y'all gotta try the Olive Oil cake...it's so good and different but sounds a bit odd...it's GREAT!

This is an interesting, modern take on Italian. The gnocchi, pasta Bolognese (non- tomato) and pasta marinara with meatballs were all delicious. I thought the Caesar salad had too much lemon and not enough garlic.

Red Ash is consistently amazing. It is my favorite restaurant in Austin! The spaghettini alle vongole is delicious and the bread with garlic is the best to dip in any of the sauces that come with the pastas.

The service was absolutely terrible. We were sat down at 8:25 for a 8:00 pm reservation. Then it took 10 mins for "not our waitress" to bring us water, with promises that our waitress will be coming by shortly. Shortly was another 10 minutes and she took our drink order, but had to "go get a plate" before she took our food order. It was 9:00 pm, still had not ordered dinner. I called over the first lady who gave us water and begged her to take our food order, because our waitress was yet to return after getting the plate, for 20 minutes. The food was amazing and I love good Italian food. I am willing to give this place one more shot. But they would have to WOW me.

We went to Red Ash to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. After hearing great things from friends and reading the reviews, I was worried about it being over-hyped. It was outstanding from start to finish. We were well taken care of by the staff, and the food and wine were outstanding. We each ordered a different entree so we could have a taste, and the agnolotti, frutti di mare and grilled prawn. Also save room for the chocolate cake and gelato. So delicious. We are already planning our next visit to Red Ash.
